Shigy is an exceptional massage therapist and absolutely wonderful person. He takes time to understand any pain points / tightness and then treats both that area and any areas that may be causing or referring pain to that area. Each time he tests for mobility and flexibility at the start and the end of the session and the results speak for themselves. As someone else had put here, he's gentle but magically effective and worth 10 stars. I could not recommend IKKYU highly enough. Shigy is by far the best massage therapist (and just general health professional) I have ever come across.

I highly recommend IKKYU and deeply appreciated each of my appointments there! I have a long time history of muscle tension and postural imbalances, and the treatments visibly left me with less pain and tension (if not none!), and better alignment and mobility at each time. It also helped me to have a much faster and pleasant recovery from my activities and injuries. But that's not the entire story either. Shigeo is such a great professional, and one of the kindest people I have ever had the good fortune to cross paths with. He is very punctual, calm, nurturing and attentive, and definitively a role model for those and so many other virtues. It has such an impact on you, having such compassionate and competent people around, helping you take care of yourself. I am very grateful to IKKYU and will definitively keep coming.

I had an amazing experience at this Japanese massage therapy shop-Ikkyu! The service was exceptional and the therapist (Shigy) had great skill and knowledge. He was able to identify my problem areas and work on them to provide me with relief from the pain and discomfort that I was experiencing (in my case migraine, stress, and stiff shoulder) The location is also very convenient and easy to access. I appreciated the cozy and calming ambience of the shop, which helped me relax and enjoy my massage even more. Overall, I highly recommend this shop to anyone in need of a high-quality massage. The owner is friendly, professional, and attentive to your needs. I will definitely be returning for another massage in the future!
