Amazing, must visit Medieval town! Cozy little lanes, medieval structures makes you feel like being in old times! Many cafes, souvenir shops, and mesmerizing view. Just 9km from the Castellfollit de la Roca so one can cover bothe places within half day.

Magical town to walk around for a few hours. Train ride is €6 and not really worth it. It’s much better to walk around instead. Public toilets are near the tourist information desk but close early at 6.30pm and even earlier on holidays 3.30pm.

Not to be missed if you are in the area. Several nice viewing areas from different angles. The best parking is on the right side right before crossing the river, if headed towards the town of Bisalu. It’s a good size free parking lot right after the around about. Don’t try to find parking in the town, it’s very hard.

Love the medieval city not to big, combine it with one of the hiking trails ...on the left side of the bridge there is a all you can eat restaurant €18 during the day with a stunning view on the bridge, food not to special but loads of choise. Defently coming back to do another trail and lumch

Do not miss the old medieval bridge if you are around Besalu. It is a wonderful piece of heritage beautifully inserted in the surrounding nature. The whole village itself is also a must see and definitely worth a visit.

Nice small medieval town with an excellent view of the long, well preserved bridge. We parked in town, not at the tourist area just before the bridge. Interesting medieval cathedral in town centre with nice restaurants right in the square.

Besalù in Spain is a captivating medieval town, renowned for its striking Romanesque bridge that stretches across the Fluvià river. This historically rich town, a part of Catalonia, is a treasure trove of ancient architecture, including the remnants of a once-formidable fortress and a Jewish bathhouse dating back to the 12th century. The cobblestone streets, flanked by well-preserved medieval buildings, transport visitors back in time. Besalù is not only a feast for history enthusiasts but also offers delightful culinary experiences with its local Catalan cuisine. The town's compact size makes it perfect for leisurely exploration, promising an enchanting journey through a bygone era. A visit to Besalù is an unforgettable immersion into medieval splendor and cultural richness.

Quite close to Girona so possible to go see the bridge and have a meal there in less than half a day. Well maintained and clean. There is free parking nearby and a tourist information center.

Besalú is a small town in Catalonia, Spain. It is also widely regarded as one of the most beautiful villages in Spain. The medieval castles, churches, large residences and Jewish neighborhoods in the town are well preserved, and you can enjoy the beauty of medieval Spanish architecture while walking through them~

Such a nice medieval town and worth a visit if your in the area. The Roman bridge is the star of the show and makes the walk into town feel grand. The streets are cozy and lots of stalls and restaurants. There is a circus museum in town and also a circus event that start at 9pm which you can buy tickets from the circus museum office box but may only be a summer event.

Nice view for the family. Small Town, located in Catalunia, Geronde easy to do by foot. A little bit challenging with a troller, but doable. You will find a lot a souvenir shops with small budget items 👍 The lovely view really give you that medieval town vibe. The bridge has been up since the XII century !

A lovely ancient town with the most amazing bridge, some very nice shops and cafes and a little land train that takes you around the most interesting areas, the only down side was the commentary was only in French. Well worth a visit.
