Most beautiful place to relax and enjoy with family and friends. Fishing is tops. 👍Really love the sunsets on the water. Awesome place to be.

Worst campsites and ablution blocks ever!!! Resort has not been taken care of in ages, eeeuw😖 It's such a shame, cause Bloemhof dam is beautiful

Spent one night on our return from a trip to the West Coast. Venue is very pretty but abultion facilities are in dire need of upgrading and thorough clean. The showers only have a curtain and no door onto the common area. Power points are also in some cases unsafe. I will not visit again until I am assured that upgrades and cleaning has been done.

Not well equipped for long distance travellers. But comfortable for a night.

My one star is for unfriendly and unhelpful staff and poor facilities. We camped about 800m from the bathrooms on the dam shore, our cars got stuck in the sand and the guy refused for us to use our 4wheeler just to go bathroom and we had 6children to walk. Bathrooms are in need of some care also. BUT 5 stars for the fishing and the scenery.

Beautiful surroundings. BUT the fridge was broken, when the staff replaced it, they replaced it with a filthy fridge. It had a very fishy smell, there was old blood in the container above the compressor at the back of the fridge. We had to clean it. It was very disgusting. The microwave was broken. There were no spoons or teaspoons. There are no outside taps. Every year we book the whole of Sandvelde for the bank angling SA's. I think the management can at least ensure that the chalets are clean and everything is in good working order before the SA's.

Great fishing. Sandveld always delivers fish. Just with these were more portable toilets

There is no words to properly describe the peace and tranquility of a sandvelde experience... The best explanation in today's lifestyle is like a full recharge of mind, body and soul with a lotto bonus of plenty big fish and full nets. P.s Keep all your edibles and fishing dips closed and secured as the friendly wildlife there will also enjoy your stay alongside. ( Day time only )
