Absolutely lovely little hidden gem. Greta selection of beverages for all cravings and snacks. Coffee was super delicious. They have some local art posted, plenty of sitting areas and clean bathrooms. Staff was very friendly as well.

A really nice local coffee shop and roaster with excellent service. The coffee was above average and enjoyable. The space is pretty big and there are plenty of places to sit down. They also have board games available for the patrons. Its a nice addition to downtown West Chicago.

This is the kind of coffee shop you might not think you can find in the west burbs. It is very relaxed with the organic feeling of a place that's been elevated by real acts of love. It is family-friendly, I would say radically welcoming, clean, spacious, with indoor and outdoor seating. There was art on the walls from local high school students, there are board games, books for young people you can borrow. I got an oat milk latte with caramel. It was great. I love when you can taste strong coffee through the flavor. I GOT that. Some people were working. I was reading a book outside alone in a spot where I could watch trains if I wanted to. I will for sure come back. .. note on accessibility.. the patio has a door and steps down from inside the building but you can probably wheel around the building straight to it no problem.

A perfect cafe! Cute, cozy, and family-friendly with delicious drinks, the most beautiful latte art, and nice staff! They have so many board games and a kid section with picture books, too! A great place to study/do work during the day, or to just have a relaxing hangout with friends! The muffins and scones are sooo delicious, plus freshly baked right there!

Super helpful staff, and The Greatest Mocha in The World might actually have a shot at that title. The interior design is funky and fun, the outdoor seating in the back is peaceful, and the coffee is great, but most notable are the bathrooms. Weird, right? But seriously. The (gender-neutral!) bathroom is like a microcosm of this place's approach to hospitality. They provide baby changing stations, urinals, feminine products (tampons AND pads), baby wipes, hand lotion, and diapers. They have you covered. Pretty sure you could get in a gunfight on the street outside of Kindred Coffee and you could patch yourself up using the equipment provided in their bathrooms. Anyway. It's awesome. Support them.

This place reminds me of my beautiful land 🏞the taste of coffee is unsurpassed. They use the best oat milk I have ever tasted 🍼🥤🥛(for me) to make the best latte and the best moccachino👌🍫☕️

Friendly staff, cute location, and delicious coffee ☕️ Their oat milk caramel latte is amazing and their blueberry muffin is actually the best I’ve ever had! I didn’t understand why people were writing glowing reviews for a muffin - until I tried it. It’s super tender, flavorful, and with a delicious spiced streusel topping. I was in the area and I’m glad I decided to stop here for a yummy and comforting treat.

Every morning, I pass Kindred Coffee on my way to work. Today, I was stopped by a train and decided to check this place out. I had a latte and a blueberry muffin. BOTH WERE AWESOME!!!

Fantastic coffee and great service with knowledgeable and passionate staff. Their Honduras roast is absolutely superb and might be my new favorite coffee in Chicagoland 😍. They serve festive seasonal drinks and although I haven't tried them myself the sandwiches seem tasty with good portion size. I'm glad to have discovered this place and expect I'll be back very soon!

I love this cute gem. Good for groups and solo too. Was a cozy atmosphere. The staff very friendly and the coffee was out of league. I love the barista a young fella with the knowledge and the great actitud. Had a gluten free brownie. Was delicious not gummy and with the perfect hint of sweet. Usually I write reviews after my third visit. But was so good my impression in the first time. Will planning many more visits.

I love it here. The employees are all very nice and extremely helpful. The atmosphere is very calming and you can tell that the vibes are great. Their muffins are insane. The strawberry basil muffin is incredible and the blackberry thyme is also very nice. Props to you guys for having diapers and feminine products in the bathroom! That’s always a mega plus. Kindred is a great place for a cute date, bringing friends, and even a family get together, or coming solo! I noticed that there is also outdoor seating in the back and that is perfect too. I really like this place and wish it was closer but it’s worth the drive out to leave feeling satisfied and having a good morning!

Delicious coffee and tea and food! The staff is incredibly friendly and it’s a great spot to hang out with a friend or get work done. Their coffee beans are also consistently amazing and I love that they use recyclable bags.

When they say “Most Amazing Mocha on Planet Earth,” they aren’t kidding! I got it iced and will definitely be back for more. The space itself is colorful and humming with laughter and engaged conversations. They have lots of bench-style seating and easy to scoot tables, which is nice for guests of size. It’s the perfect place to meet a friend or curl up with a book.

Kindred was great! Clean, open seating area and delicious drinks. When I went on a late Saturday morning they were out of pastries which bummed me out but it gives me a reason to go back. Try the Most Amazing Mocha On Planet Earth, you won't be disappointed!

First visit (finally) yesterday after admiring Kindred’s social media since they opened. #worth-it! The drip coffee was great, the strawberry-basil muffin was great, and the space (larger than I expected) was awesome. Had a meeting with a partner and we’ll be back for more.

First time at Kindred Coffee last Saturday afternoon and so glad we found this hidden gem. Paul treats every order with expert care and happily shares insights on coffee sourcing and preparation. This is a coffee lover's paradise.

The coffee is absolutely delicious. My spouse and I never finish our coffee drinks unless we make it at home. This coffee was so good! Would rate 3.5 only because their customer service was not good. No one greeted upon arrival (they weren’t taking anyone’s order). Once we paid they did not say thank you or guide us to where we get our order…nothing. Although the quality is important, customer service is also important for me to go back. I would give it another try though, for sure!

The coffee isn't the greatest especially at the price. The atmosphere is kinda drab. The workers are nice though.

We drive 30 minutes just to hang out here and that was before the renovated shop was even open. My DH loves the coffee. My sister has me bring her bags of coffee when we visit. I can't tolerate caffeine, but no worries, the caffeine free tea selection is delish. Try it buds, you'll like it.

What's not to like? I've been to Kindred Coffee Roasters many times, and I'm always satisfied, across the board. Their coffee is excellent, and $3.50 for a cup plus a refill is a good deal in my book. They have comfortable places to sit in the back, and there is parking on both sides of the street. There is usually not a wait when I'm there, and the service is efficient and friendly. I'll be back soon!

1st visit was nice, very busy! There was outside seating, too! A cool corner for kids with toys and books. Very nice artwork on the walls. Overall atmosphere felt fresh and warm!

Great, fresh roasted coffee. Delicious baked goods made in house. I highly recommend the muffins, they are perfect. You can't go wrong with any of their coffee drinks, either. Ask for a cold brew with the chocolate spiced syrup and milk, you won't be disappointed. The friendliest staff/owners, too! A gem in the western suburbs.

Kindred is a wonderful coffee shop near the West Chicago Public Library! The staff are friendly and easy to talk to, and the menu options, whether it is tea, coffee, or something from the kitchen, are delicious and delightful! I first discovered this hidden gem last fall after a long day at work and quickly fell in love with the place. If you're ever in need of a cup to go or have some time to kill, make a point to check this place out!

Met a friend for a coffee the day after Christmas and it was lovely. Ample parking ,easy to find, very inviting of everyone walking in. Our barista helped me and gave a couple suggestions along with ensuring he got my friend's order of decaf correct. Comfortable place with lots of places to sit and chat.

One of my favorite coffee shops ever. I love coming here to study or to read and I always have a good experience. Parking can be a little iffy because it’s almost all on-street, parallel parking, but there’s usually a spot or two available.

Wonderfully chill and welcoming neighborhood spot! Kindred never disappoints in their hospitality, their drinks, or their overall spirit! The perfect pick-me-up and a great spot to get a tea or coffee, read a book, or enjoy the occasional local musicians as they enjoy their own drinks at any of the cozy tables Kindred has to offer.

I used to barista back in the day and have made the rounds at many Chicago coffee shops either as a patron or behind the bar. All I have to say is that every coffee shop should aspire to be like Kindred. Warm atmosphere, friendly owners and baristas, and delicious coffee. My favorite part, and this is going to be a funny comment, is that the place is always so clean. To me this means that the people working are attentive, they care, and they are proud of their space. Looking forward to trying the best mocha ever and I'll eventually have to buy one of their stylish beanies that half the patrons were wearing today when I came in :) As you can see, much love for Kindred Coffee Roasters.

Try to stop in every time on our way in or on our way out from visiting family. Ryan, Patrick, and the gang always deliver the best service in their clean and beautiful shop. Favorite coffeeshop in the western suburbs!

The most amazing mocha on planet Earth. I was skeptical, but it's true. Try it with Oatly milk. ❤☕❤☕❤ There's road construction right now, but they're open and you can park around the corner and walk off 200 calories or so 😁

Such a nice place to have in West Chicago. Kindred brings a lot of character and warmth to this town. Ordered a mocha today, tastes great. I love their support of local artists, too. I recommend Kindred to anyone looking for a nice place to relax or study with some great coffee and staff.
