Nice clean and fun park for the kids! Huge jungle gym for the kids to climb. A small man made stream runs through the park. The kids all enjoyed playing in the water. Bathrooms had flush toilets and were very clean. One thing we didn't like. You have to pay $2 for non residents to enter the park. We visited here 3 years ago and didn't have to pay, so this is something new. Personally, I don't like paying to get into a park.

As a city boy, I'm not used to being out in nature, but I really enjoyed this place. Plenty of free parking in the adjacent lot, and plenty of trails to explore. The nature museum is great for kids, and I even liked the "gift shop" offerings. I went with my girlfriend and her kids (9 & 6), there's a playground for kids ($2 per child), with a max play time of 45 minutes, which is perfect. Even better is that the employees come through telling the families to GTFO. By that time I'm more than ready to leave, and it's great that I don't have to be the bad guy by making my child leave. I can blame it on the staff, which is much easier for the kiddos to stomach. It's 50 minutes away from the city, so I wouldn't come here often, but if you're in the Schaumburg area, I'd recommend stopping by.

My favorite park in the neighborhood. Beautiful scenery, nice trails and great nature playground for kids. Also love seeing the ducks at the pond. So grateful to live near by this wonderful park!

Great place to let your kid get in touch with nature. We attended the butterfly release..... it was wonderful.

This park is my son’s favorite!! I have taken him to many different parks but this is the only one where he could play for hours on end. He normally plays with the water or with the sand but i have found that he really challenges himself when he is there. Very sensory friendly and a bonus is that children get to work on motor skills, core strength etc. without having to push them. My recommendation is to dress your kids in very comfortable clothes that you don’t mind them getting dirty (that includes easily removable footwear)

Went here for the first time yesterday. It wasn’t busy so the one hour playtime rule didn’t apply. It’s a great park, lots of various activities for a child to do. Very stimulating. And I like that the slides are big enough for adults, as my child demands I go down them with her. Will definitely be back!

This place is beyond amazing. There's so much to explore and see. The Lilly pond was a favorite amongst the group. We all got a kick out of the little turtles hanging out. The closer you look and focus the more you see! We didn't get to go to the park but it was worth the trip either way! Beautiful and extremely clean.

A good playground for kids but there is an admission fee for kids ($2 for local and $3 for visitors) and sometimes they monitor playing time! Giving this a 4 because they could really benefit from adding more shade so kids don’t get burnt going down slides now that summer has hit in the Midwest!

Amazing nature based park. $3 to non residents for the playground. All other amenities free. Beautiful hiking trails that offer a variety of scenery. Many free learning programs/shows daily, such as a butterfly release, which we attended. A nice chance to catch a glimpse of wildlife, just outside the city. A great place to picnic and spend a few hours on a nice day.

A Must see! Hidden Treasure for Kids and Grownups alike. We haven’t heard of this park before but for $3 if you are a nonresident you get to experience a lot of cool nature trails and kid activities.

We went there over a Sunday evening with family, and had a great time hanging out in nature and enjoying the park. There are areas where you could hike, observe brids, or hike around free of cost, and then there is a playground sort of an area for kids where we need to pay a couple of dollars for entry. Overall, it’s a great park plus with great add-ons if you are looking for something extra to cover. Great to take kids around, as most of the areas could be covered with a stroller. Ample free parking space, which is a clear plus. Would recommend this place for a about halfa day out with family!

Lots to do here, bring water shoes to walk through the artificial creek! Wish there was not a time limit. Since you pay admission, I'd like to stay longer to really get my money's worth. I also love all the native plants!

Visited Bison's Bluff on a Saturday afternoon with my 4yo son. We had a blast running around, trying all the playground has to offer... but his favorite was looking for and identifying animal tracks!

Fun place for the kids to burn off some energy. My kiddos enjoyed playing here on the playground and using the musical instrument play areas. Lots of climbing and sliding and jumping to do.

Wow! This place is awesome! Took a 2 and 4 year old and they LOVED IT! Bring a bathing suit or something that dries quickly because the kids can explore in very shallow rock pools and a small waterfall. Very clean and well maintained with lots of nature around.

Beautiful park!!! There is a $3 admission for kiddos which is completely reasonable for the experience. We walked around the pond and went on the trail. We saw a lot of wildlife. Cant wait to return.

This place was adorable for my 2 and 8 year old daughter to play and explore. Came in the fall, would love to come back in the Summer. In October on a Sunday it was not busy at all! Fair price of $3 per child for non residents. Worth it.

This place is incredibly adorable. I love how much nature the kids are in contact with and the price is very reasonable for nonresidents. Will certainly be going back.

Beautiful & and carefully planned out play area that is more than the usual parks you'll find anywhere. It's unique, let's kids explore nature safely, play with instruments, play in the man-made creeks, sand, climb the huge bison, slide through the rock formation, a tree house that actually looks like a tree house. Follow & identify the various animal footprints on the concrete pathways, climb, walk on different terrains, rock formations, walk on rocks across the water, sit inside the large herron/stork nest. It's a lot of fun for kids & parents alike. There's also a small indoor museum, with a small gift shop, indoor & outdoor bathrooms, outdoor veggie garden in the summer & trails surrounding the play area. It used to be free for all, but during the pandemic, the park was upgraded & a $3 non-resident fee is being charged, and it's worth it.

A great place. My kids love to go to the museum and do a lot of interesting activities there. Big, wonderful playground. Children can play with sand, climb different structures, walk in the small river and many more!

So much to do for kids. Maybe not the best for toddlers under two given the little ponds and slides are for the bigger kids. Fortunately it's labeled for bigger kids. Worthwhile experience.

Kids had so much fun here! They loved the water feature as it was a pretty hot day. I love that the facilities are kept clean. Entrance fee is $2 for residents and $3 for non residents and playtime is for 1 hour although nobody enforced that while we were there. It's not as big as I thought it would be but still plenty to keep the little ones busy. Cleanest Park district restrooms I've ever seen!

This park is a gem! We are visiting from North Carolina and we are thrilled to have a place so amazing to play at . We can spend all day here . Bring a lunch and an extra set of clothes because they may get wet.

I have been raving about this playground! It is a blast for kids. They focus on nature and have a stream running throughout the play area. The admission is cheap too. I recommend checking out the time slots on the website and making sure you are there at the beginning of one. On busy days, they only allow you to be in the park for the one hour timed slot to manage the large capacity. The first time I showed up, we only got 45 minutes in the park. The second time, it was unlimited because it wasn’t as nice of a day and not nearly as busy. I highly recommend going!
