This is a really cool museum to visit. It's within the actual base itself so there's security checks and all that. When I went a few years ago it was a background search at the gate and an inspection of your car. I think it's changed to requiring advance notice and at the moment it's unfortunately closed for some heightened security reason or another. Hopefully it opens back up.

On a secure base, the yard of planes is a must see!

I could not be happier with our visit. My 1 year old son is OBSESSED with airplanes so imagine my excitement to find this museum. Our guide catered our entire visit to my son which I really appreciated. He was patient and so caring with him, even carrying him around the airplanes so I could take videos. I can’t recommend this place enough. I cannot wait to go back with my son and by myself!

Excellent experience! Many aircraft displays and a very knowledgeable staff that makes the experience well worth the time. In addition to aircraft, they have a number of jet engine displays, different weapons systems and a variety of other related components.

A great place to visit and tour some military aircraft.

Great people with incredible stories! If you're an aviation guru, this is an absolute must when visiting the twin cities area!

The people who volunteer there, Tom Evans and Steve, are so knowledgeable and passionate about maintaining their collection of aircraft. I genuinely enjoyed their tours!

Volunteered here. Staff is very nice and helpful. The space is clean and many activities for seniors.

Fabulous exhibit and use of space, staff and volunteers were great, I'd love to see more special exhibits in the main street building, it was fun to see community members enjoy the exhibits about their community.

Really cool look at some of the MN history of military air contributions. Free to visit and is run off of donations.

You cannot arrive without appointment. Call them in advance, I think in couple of days before planned visit

Exhibits are wonderful and everyone was so friendly and helpful!

The Hopkins Historical Society is chalk full of local history! Staff and volunteers are very welcoming and eager to help out any researchers or individuals just passing by. The new exhibit open at the new location on mainstreet is done wonderfully and promises exciting things for the future of the historical society!

So much to learn, I find something or someone 'new' each visit.

The worst ever very cramped with stuff and the lady that runs is it very rude and mean.

What a fantastic place! I had no idea the treasures and unique items they would have on display here! I began volunteering here 3 months ago and can honestly say that the time I spend here is one of the highlights of my week. The Director and volunteers are so friendly and more than willing to share their knowledge of local history. The Director has done an excellent job engaging visitors, volunteers, and the community. I highly recommend stopping by to check this place out!
