Decided to go on a boring Tuesday afternoon after I had heard that their dining room had re-opened (I’ve had their food delivered). Practically had the place to myself, as there was what looked like a couple dining in too. They have vegan 🌱 & gluten free options available. Bathroom was clean which I always appreciate. Art work makes you smile or even chuckle a little. In a good way. I ended up ordering the Vegan nuggets & Rosa from the appetizer menu. Wasn’t a fan of the nuggets but the Rosa was decent. Wanna try other vegan options next time. I’ll be back. 😄

Fantastic pizzas and awesome employees. We stopped in for the first time and we tried the Paul Bunyan and The Thailander, both of which were equally excellent. We will for sure be back!

As a pizza aficionado that travels a good amount, I know my pizza...and Galactic Pizza makes a damn good pie. I had the regular Paul Bunyon, which features all-Minnesota-sourced toppings. Unique twist and a great option. Mark, my server, was very helpful and is the kind of guy that can make great suggestions based on what you're looking for. He's really good with first time visitors too, as I witnessed him dealing with a few other groups. It wasn't super busy, so he took the time to 'talk pizza' for a few minutes. Really good sauce, some unique combinations, great staff, and a welcoming place overall. Keep up the good work GP, you represented your city well and I'll definitely be coming back!

This place has the nicest owner that served us. He was kind, and helpful. I highly recommend getting a bunch of 10 inch smaller pizzas and then sharing so you can try out a few of the unique ones. The chicken wings are a bit small so I recommend upgrading to the full plate. Nice to have the option of baking them though. Food was good, but the crust was a bit thin for my personal preference. I recommend this place for a new pizza flavor.

I had been having a hard time finding pizza that had flavor in the dough and had a crispy crust but soft toppings. Finally found some. Amazing pizza - really happy to have given them a shot. Will continue ordering from Galactic!! Excellent service and speed on delivery. 25 minutes earlier than expected. Great prices too!

I’ve been walking and driving by here for at least 15 years and always wanted to stop but never had. Tonight, I walked by the back alley and it smelled so good I had to stop. Had the Paul Bunyan pizza and a couple salads. Server was super friendly and welcoming. The pizza had morel mushroom, tomato, bison sausage, and mozzarella. Was really good, especially the crust. I gotta go back and try their homemade mozzarella sticks.

We love their crust and toppings! They offer regular marinara sauce and also San Marzano tomato sauce—which is great! We are strict vegans, and they offer plenty of options! The owner is very friendly and accommodating. I just wish parking was easier to find.

this is the absolute best pasta and pizza i have had at a restaurant. there are tons of gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan options. John really seems to care about his quality of food, and it shows. i got the pasta, and my girlfriend got the pizza, and we were both snagging bites from each other with how good it was. When i come back to Minnesota, this is a must stop.

I grabbed a small pie for pickup with pepperoni. Originally from NY and exiled in the Midwest where a number of enthusiasts think it is ok to buy frozen pizza or enjoy the creativity of Papa John's toppings. Personally I don't eat pizza a lot outside of the tri-state area because people don't respect the art form. Galactic is different. Nice sauce, good crust, not inundated with 3 lbs of cheese. There is some appeasement of the local crowd by literally throwing everything in the kitchen on top of specialty pies but a true pepperoni or plain pie is authentic, delicious, and definitely made by someone who cut their teeth with NY pizza. Vegan options available, local ingredients and green processes where applicable. Well run, clean, good NY slices.

There are so many cool things about this place. They are environmentally friendly and socially conscious! In that regard they are cutting edge! All their ingredients are very very healthy! I had the 2nd harvest Heartland pizza!! It was outstanding!!

Coming from Chicago I'm a bit of a pizza snob, so wasn't expecting much from Galactic Pizza when I stopped in during vacation. WOW is all I can say, I was blown away with the super friendly service, the cute location and most of all the pizza. The san marzano pizza sauce is house made and a 10 out of 10. One if the best pizzas I've ever had. In addition get the cheese sticks, house made and not greasy at all. Wish Galactic was closer to home because this pizza is damn near perfect.

Absolutely the best pizza in the Twin Cities! Not only are the ingredients fresh and flavorful but the crust has that awesome texture that adds to the overall perfect pie experience. My husband also loves the baked green curry chicken wings which maintain their flavor even after being boxed up and delivered. We usually order in but on the few occasions we've visited the restaurant, we have always enjoyed our experience. The big outdoor table is perfect to wait for our pizza at while enjoying the street scenes and a cold beverage. The owner has made us feel so welcome! One final plus, the staff is always courteous and kind whether in person or over the phone. I cannot say enough good things about this local pizza joint. We are lucky to have them and they have made life-long fans in us! PS we love the superhero theme!

Delicious pizza. We had a pie and cheese bread with vegan cheese. Couldn’t even tell the difference. The owner was awesome. She offered us great service. Definitely a must try.

I had ordered a vegan cheese pizza with Bianca (garlic and olive oil) sauce and vegan cheesy bread. I’m not sure if the DoorDash delivery driver gave me the wrong order, my pizza was made incorrectly, or the store handed off the wrong order, but I ended up with a pizza that had some kind of red sauce and mushrooms on it. It might have small bits of spinach and some kind of tomato on it too. Because it’s so different from what I ordered, I couldn’t trust that it was indeed vegan. And if the pizza isn’t what I ordered, did I actually get the vegan version of their cheesy bread too? I just had a rough evening with a migraine and was finally past the pain and hungry. I waited 2 hours for this to get delivered and couldn’t trust that I could eat it without getting sick. I ordered a vegan pizza from here a few years ago and it was good, but this was a huge let down. There weren’t any labels or tags on any of it either to help me identify what happened.

Galactic Pizza suffered damage from the hands of video gamers living out their Grand Theft Auto dreams last May/June 2020 - the darkest days in Minneapolis history. They were innocent and should have never had to go through that. I hope and pray that Galactic Pizza will thrive and prosper for long to come.

Galactic Pizza is as close to a perfect pizza restaurant as I can imagine. If you have read my other reviews you may notice that anything at above 4.5 is a 5-star review, but a rating over 4.8 is extremely rare; giving Galactic a 4.9 here. --- First up, the pizza, which is excellent; they offer a large variety of high quality ingredients, all sourced with high standards for the planet and taste - served in appropriate amounts on the ideal crust. Also, great choices for beverages, including limited but well chosen wine and beer - but many other nice options. --- No wobbly tables! Friendly and efficient service, the place is clean and maintained well. It also has interesting decor that fits the idea of what they are all about, and what a pizza joint should have in terms of atmosphere. ---- In the end, there is literally nothing wrong and essentially everything right about this place. The only reason this is not the first 5.0 rating I have ever given (yet) is because I only tried pizza and have only been one time. I have no reason to believe any other food would be anything but great or another visit would prove drastically different - so upon next visit will evaluate all that. But in the meantime, stop in or order some pizza. I am confident you will be glad you did.

Met a friend for lunch here. While it was empty for weekday lunch, the owner made us feel welcome and served us. Gave us suggestions on what to get and even brought back a free tasting of another pizza he was cooking up for himself. Friendly, good pizza, quality selection of drinks and food. Pizza reminded me of New York style. Expensive ($24ish for the pizza we got in the picture) but what restaurant eating out now isn’t?

Their pizza is always great, and I tried Galactic's buffalo wings for the 1st time last night 10/10. Also, rolling up with the super hero attire (+mask....thanks for keeping your drivers safe) made my day!

You really don't realize how bad and processed the ingredients are at other pizza chains until you've had the fresh, organic ingredients from Galactic. It's night and day. I also think their baked buffalo wings are the best wings I've ever had. Can't get enough of this place.

The best pizza the uptown Minneapolis

I just moved back from WA and got Galactic for the first time in almost a decade. I worked here many moons ago, when Pete was the owner. I also enjoy whoever is replying to the reviews now, I'm assuming the current owner. This place will always have a spot in my heart, and the food is still so good. I can say from knowing personally, everything is high quality and made from scratch. It's actually so impressive, and they were ahead of a lot of trends before they became trendy. I would recommend the Shroomer, Ala Vodka, Mexicali, and Old School. Salads are also a fave, any of them. Glad this place is still around.

Amazing Pizza! We stooped in to Galactic Pizza Saturday evening because we had heard about it and wanted to check it out. We were very happy with our decision. We offered pizza and apps and it was all delicious. In addition, the decor is very cool retro and the owners are super folks that truly care about your dining experience. Thank you, we will be back!

Galactic has my favorite pizza in town. Their crust and sauce are excellent, the toppings are high quality, it's the place I go to when I want to treat myself. The Brooklyn bee is my favorite thing to order, the salad with prosciutto is something I crave frequently, and for dessert try their hemp brownie. I'm drooling while writing this. Most times I'll call ahead for a pickup order, I've only dined in twice, both experiences were great, the staff is friendly and professional. Oh and on Valentine's day they make heart shaped pizzas!

Love this place. Definitely the best pizza by far in town and great service. (Shout out to Ben in particular) The ingredients are really high quality, and so you can won’t feel like garbage afterward. ✨

I loved that the menu has a mix of traditional and unique options for pizza, love the deck with a fun, round table with a trellis overhead. Love that they have a Pride flag in the window, and love that they deliver with electric vehicles. Great pizza option in Lyn-Lake.

My wife and I were visiting from our of town, and we eat..probably more than our fair share of pizza. We stopped in because we saw the pictures online and thought it looked fun. So glad we stopped. I got wings and a Paul Bunyon pizza, made with all local ingredients. My wife got just cheese. Everything we ate was spectacular and the service was so friendly and top notch. Next time we happen to be in the Twin Cities we are definitely coming back

I can not sing the praises of this place enough. If the rating system was out of 20, I would give them a perfect score. Their cheese sticks live up to the hype. They are the best I have had in the city. The pizza is delicious and many of their combinations are fun and innovative. The service was super nice and friendly. They earned a super fan.

This is an excellent thin crust pizza. Good dough flavor. The tomato sauce is a wee bit too tangy for me but hot peppers cut and compliment the sweetness so no complaint really. Also a very reasonable price per pie. $20 for a 14” pizza of this caliber is a steal. The simple atmosphere can be best described as cool tacky superhero with a small poet stage in the front window.

Vegetarian, Vegan, GF options for almost every pizza! very friendly staff, and a very inviting environment. it feels nice and campy, this space travel decor and the extravagant-but-not-pretentious seating, wall treatments and ceiling elements are all having a lot of fun, but aren't pretending to be something they aren't. staff is all very down to earth, and the pizzas use all natural ingredients wherever possible. lots of options for many dietary choices.

We randomly stopped in to get pizza and we’re so glad we did. The food was outstanding. I knew the pizza would be great after having the mozzarella sticks as an app. So good! We were lucky to be served by the owner who was the best! So glad we met her and had a chance to chat with her today. Awesome place! Definitely definitely try it. They do not disappoint. It had been a while since I had been to Galactic Pizza. I had forgotten how GOOD it is!! We ordered a large Paul Bunyan, raspberry cheesecake and chocolate chip cookies! It was SO good, we ordered another small Paul Bunyan to go!!!

They offer the best gluten free pizza crust I’ve ever had. Last year, I learned I can’t eat gluten anymore and it’s been really difficult finding restaurants that are both accommodating and put just as much love and energy into their GF options. Galactic does both. They have a wide variety of options for everyone and that’s so rare and refreshing. Ingredients taste fresh and it’s just great quality, yummy food that anyone can enjoy! The world needs more of this lol! I also have quite a few strictly vegan family members and it’s so good to be able to order truly fantastic pizza for everyone’s needs. Their Second Harvest Heartland is my favorite.

Galactic is our favorite pizza place in Minneapolis! There are so many delicious specialty options and the ingredients are always fresh. Our go to pizzas are the Old School, Hipster, or Maui. Check them out!

Decent pizza, nothing to write home about. They have interesting toppings so it was fun trying out new things. The sides were okay, mozz sticks felt like they got them from costco. Suprisingly enough, their egg rolls were the best side.

The motz stix came out cold and the maranara sauce is so thick and chunky it's not dip-able so we basically had coated string cheese. We ordered pizza with no toma band it came LOADED with tomatoes. In addition to the ok food, it's a bit overpriced but all in all it was fine.

Been coming here for years for the Thursday comedy open mic. Of course that’s been put on hold due to covid. Quality crust with some snap, locally and responsibly sourced ingredients, and creative pies. Plus their appetizers and happy hour drink prices are very affordable- though these days I get my ‘za for take away. Still, I’m always down to get Galactic whenever I’m in uptown’s orbit.

Overall ok experience. We ordered through DoorDash and it ended up being cold so I look forward to trying Galactic Pizza when I can actually eat it there. The flavor and texture of the pizza were great. The only real complaint was I ordered vegetarian Maui Wawie and there was no fakin bacon on it which was very disappointing. Seemed a little pricey for what we got but looking forward to trying it again.

Food was cold and took 2 hrs .to deliver. Not impressed!!!

I like the wide array of options you get with toppings you get for the pizza but i got (taste wise) wasn't the best for the price. The wings were okay but I feel like they searched through their pile of wings and found the smallest pieces so they can fit 6 of them into a soup cup. This is only my first experience and the staff was professional so, I may give it another shot mainly because its a small business.

Super delicious pizza and great vegan options!

We ordered from this pizza place twice and then attempted to order a third time. We placed our order about an hour before close. Our door Dasher was sitting outside the restaurant and the pizza place canceled our order for some reason. The first time we ordered we were impressed. The pizza was done well. The second time we ordered it wasn't half as good. Now the third time we order they canceled our order a hour before they closed. I think they just lost us as customers. They seriously waited 45 minutes to cancel our order and now most places are closed. Time to cook my hungry family something from scratch.
