The service was a bit slow but I believe when their staff is at 100% it will be worth the money. Corn soap was OK but the Barbacoa street taco was amazing.

Excellent Latin Food. I thoroughly enjoyed everything but the steak taco. It just had a weird flavor profile. The pork belly and carnitas tacos were super good. The elote was to die for. Sooo good. I could go on and on, but if you are viewing this and wondering if you should go, the answer is yes. Go now, dont wait.

The only good thing about Sun County delaying my flight is I was able to try this restaurant out. I asked an airport employee where he would eat if he was stuck and he said Barrio. I went with his suggestion and got the steak burrito bowl. It was pretty good. It came with a lot of chips and I turned the whole bowl into chip dip. Service was fast and polite.

Great, and quiet place to enjoy fine Latin American cuisine. The red snapper cerviche was phenomenal. Carnitas tacos with marinated in orange and cinnamon con verde sauce. And finish with a unique twist on torte de tres leches with strawberry

Nothing special... I didn't like what they call their salsa... I've never seen a brown liquid called salsa. It tasted and looked more like meat marinade. Also, the chips that you buy for 12 or 14 come in a small basket and most of them are broken. The quesadilla was so so. Definitely, wouldn't get it again.

The taco's have unique flavors and are so good! I love that you can get individual taco's so you can try different ones and share them. I also recommend getting the guacamole appetizer and going for happy hour drinks. The decor and atmosphere is very cool and you can sit inside or outside. Definitely try it!

My husband and I went here on a Sunday for lunch. It was pretty quiet, but the service was great, the food was good, and the restaurant including the restrooms were clean. This location is far better than the one located in downtown St. Paul. The food was perfectly spiced without being overly salty. I love that you can mix and match all the tacos including the option for soft or crunchy corn or flour tortillas. The only thing I don't agree with is if you ask for salsa, they charge you an extra $1/salsa without letting you know about the extra charge. Other than that, we thought the food was tasty and the price point for each item on the menu was well priced.

Great service. Server was helpful and friendly. The food was delicious. You must have the homemade guacamole! So creamy and amazing with house chips.

Cocina Del Barrio is a great place to eat if you're in the mood for Mexican food! The chips are amazing. I'd highly recommend getting the salsa or guacamole with them. The habanero salsa was extremely tasty! Their margarita menu is excellent! Can't go wrong with really any choice. The steak taco was mediocre. The steak was bland and chewy and the flavor hidden by other garnishments. The ahi taco was much better, would recommend that. I'd get 2-3 tacos if you have chips as well, they're smaller sized. Corn chowder soup was good, although it was oddly sweat. The Cilantro rice was heavily cilantro flavored. Even though I like cilantro, I thought it was a bit much. All the ingredients seemed very fresh and high quality. Prep and presentation was great. Overall, great place to go!

Fun spot to grabs cocktails and tacos. Excellent food and interesting spins on classic cocktails. They also have a decent patio out front which is a big plus!

Two words to describe this charming little Mexican restaurant in the middle of Edina: Mind blowing. Kate the bartender took excellent care of our party & between the Trinity margarita and the mouth watering tacos & enchiladas, we got lost in the quaint ambiance. Definitely stop in here for a big bite if you’re in town!

Delicious food, their tacos are very good (specially the pork belly one) and their drinks! Delicious! The staff does take a while to get to you, it is a busy restaurant, which makes it understandable, however if you plan on doing a quick run, you will take longer than expected. They have a very yummy ceviche too!

I’m usually not one to review restaurants just because I haven’t come across one so horrible. I decided to try the Barrio in Edina, I’ve went couple times to St.Paul location and I LOVED IT. I expected to see and eat similar food. First of all, I ordered a pick up and when I got there, my salsa side wasn’t included. I got this added charge for a spoiled not even half an avocado. I told the bartender who I picked up from that I didn’t order it, he told me shrugging that it comes with it. Get this, this Bad avocado that so little and barely a bite cost $2. I get this is Edina but what the heck? It went straight to the trash. I’m never visiting this place, and if you’re a person of color, I suggest you don’t either. The weird looks I got from the white bartender with the bad service tells you everything. I would suggest the St. Paul, I haven’t tried Minneapolis location but I don’t plan to go to a Barrio location either way.

Worst service I have honestly ever had. Drinks were amazing. But we also ordered queso without the add on of chorizo and after waiting 40 minutes we got our quest but with chorizo. When we told our waitress we actually wanted it without chorizo she apolog6a d took it away. We ordered a second round of drinks for while we were waiting. After another 30 minutes and no queso we saw our waitress leave the restaurant. She never told us our server was switching over thankfully our next winter was a lot more attentive and did not even charge us for the queso but will not be going back. The good drinks were not worth the bad service.

The food was fine, but a little too bland for me. I ordered the chicken enchiladas, fried yuca, and strawberry mint mocktail. Basically it was a slightly upper scale whitewashed Latin cuisine restaurant experience for me and my friends.

Love this place!! Guac and salsas are amazing. Haven't had a bad taco. 😉 Definitely recommend the pork belly taco-perfection! I'd like more frequent water checks or water left at the table. Margaritas are amazing, but def need water along the way. 😄

Chips, salsa, guacamole and margaritas were amazing! The mahi mahi taco was delicious. Great atmosphere but the music was a bit loud for our co-worker lunch conversation

First time at Barrio, fast seating, our waiter was friendly however he was MIA a couple of times. The meal portions are very small. My husband ordered the beef, it was tender and awesome, I ordered chicken, it was under cooked (pink). They give me a discount for the chicken dinner. Since the meals were small, we wanted to order desert, but we did receive an opportunity to do so, the waiter presented the bill to us abruptly. Instead we went to Byerly’s for dessert. We normally tip 20-25% , this time we only did 15%.

Get the salsa trio, chips and guacamole with the carnitas and tamal with any of their cocktails. Super simple and tasty.

Nothing special. The steak taco was served warm and the enchiladas tasted off. I expected something better, however the interior looked pleasant. Won't be back.
