Fantastic lunch! Rueben was tasty. Hot with melted cheese was presented well. Attentive staff. (Fountain soda and bag of chips served with sandwich = fair price)

First time at this Sandwich shop. I asked what the most ordered Sandwich was. I was told the Nashville Chicken Sandwich. So I ordered that with a side of tots. And I tell you what... This Sandwich was the best Sandwich I have had in a long time. I am glad I found this little gem in my hometown. Im going to have to take some of my buddies I served with to this shop.

Alleycat’s has quickly became one of my favorite restaurants in the area, and it’s up there for all time! My wife and I just found out about this place a month ago, and I think we’ve ordered here at least 6 times.. we’ve ordered something different every time and everything left us very happy. we’ve had it ourselves, with family, with friends and everybody loves it. Safe to say we will be regulars here.

Called and put an order in, was told it’s be 20 minutes which is very acceptable. However it took 45 minutes to get a Cuban and fries and their grills had 3 sandwiches on them when there were 4 workers. One of the cooks stepped out to smoke 2 times in that time instead of getting the food out then when I got my food the Cuban was great as always but my fries were room temperature at best and there was no salt on the fries either. A sandwich is not worth waiting 45 minutes for how slow it was but I had already paid.

Customer service was great and food was even better! We drove over an hour and we plan to go back!

2/24/23 update: Fish is back! Photos of fish and gyro added. (Ended with lent) 6/27/22 update: Well its been many years of visiting here and it's still just as good. Top notch battered fish during lent Fridays, and the ribs really are the best in the area. Luckily the ribs are year round. The rest of our initial review from over 5 years ago still holds true below. 2017 original: Great food. A tad pricey but you get what you pay for, the pulled pork sandwiches are some of the best I've had and they give you quite a bit of it. The orders of fries are typically quite generous as well, and they usually have a specialty item that rotates. Well worth visiting

Super flavorful sandwiches! Everything was made to order and came out quickly. Expensive for it not coming with fries or a side, but worth it!

Sandwiches should be the sixth food group and if the food pyramid folks ever decide to amend the list, you can get your daily intake here. Market Club, 3 Million Dollar (some people eat cookie dough, I would eat a bowl of this sauce for dinner with a spoon) Nashville Hot Chicken, and finally, the Market Club (this is a high performing club and requires 2 mentions) oh and a Deluxe Burger. Dear lord so good. I recommend bringing a trusted sandwich partner you can split and share different sandwiches with and then order one to go for later (for just you, obviously)..unless you live close by, then you may have a real problem on your hands. Get tots too! And Matt is always so friendly and welcoming, along with offering superb order accuracy…an absolute overall yes to Alleycat’s! Go here!

This was absolutely delicious! I had the French dip. Despite a slight gluten intolerance, for me it was worth getting actual wheat bread that held together and got so wonderfully soggy when I dipped it. My husband had the BLAT sandwich. That's bacon, lettuce, avocado and tomato on toasted sourdough. He thoroughly enjoyed it, and I loved the bite I got of it! I hope it stays around for a good long time I plan on enjoying it in the years to come.

Guy working register was very nice and respectful. Prime sandwich I was not very impressed with for $14 before tax. Added fires for $1.75 they were nothing special but you get a lot of them. Almost $19 with 10% tip. Maybe I’ll go back and try the fry guys ribs.

A good homestyle sandwich shop near the lake. It brings up nostalgic memories of summer afternoons grabbing a quick bite after heading up north to check out a lake we hadn't been to yet. Solid food, great atmosphere, and the guy working behind the counter was nice. Seating was small, but that really fits the vibe best. Grab a sandwich to go and find somewhere cozy to sit. I plan to return again soon.

One of the best Cubans I have had. Very good bread, pressed as it should be, and only the ingredients a Cuban should have, no "interpretative" additions or substitutions. LARGE sandwich. Quick and friendly service. Whenever I am in the area I will definitely stop again and try some other fare. Don't let the strip mall location deter you. Highly recommended!

Amazing! The poutine is so flavorful. This is not your average gravy from the packet. This is packed with so much flavor it’s insane. I definitely recommend this place!!

The atmosphere here feels great given how small it is. The service was fairly quick but was on a Thursday night. This has to be one of the best burgers I’ve had in a long time! Unfortunately the food was messed up when I opened the containers but that’s entirely my fault as I was so excited to eat this burger that I sped out of the parking lot causing the bag to flip which messed up the presentation of the burger, BUT IT WAS DELICIOUS!!! Will come back to eat more burgers here if I’m having that crave for burgers again. Will add photos later once I come back for more food too!

My coworker recommended this place and it did not disappoint. Hard to choose what to get because everything looked amazing. Ended up getting the Nashville chicken sandwich with Siracha tots and it was the best thing I've had in a hot minute. Definitely stopping in again.

Ordered the Hot Pastrami! Good amount of quality pastrami, tangy slaw, Outback sauce on a marble rye bread 😘 (which is hard to find good bread in Minnesota) Highly recommend!

Got an order to go, so I can't say much about atmosphere or service, other than the order was done when they said and was still hot. The food quality was pretty good. One disappointment was the coleslaw was tiny for the price (but at least it was tasty).

Fantastic hidden gem in White Bear Lake for amazing quick food! I want to shout out Matt! Gives great service and food is always perfect! Love this place. The Philly is the best my opinion.

Went here about mid-afternoon on Memorial Day. Was definitely a busy spot and packed with patrons. Asked for the most popular sandwich and thought we landed on the Nashville chicken but ended up with a shrimp sandwich instead. Was still amazing but will be going back to try out the chicken sandwich. Will be placing an order to go prior to showing up next time but overall the food was amazing and done in a timely manner. Would highly recommend!

I had the Cuban sandwich along with the chicken wild rice soup. Both items were fantastic just like the customer service. Definitely recommend if looking for a quick bite in the area.

Food is excellent, but wait times for lunch are often more than 45 minutes. This is unusual considering that there isn't much available seating. It is almost best to do delivery so you don't have to wait for so long.

Alleycat's is fantastic. We had poutine, the club, and the brisket dip. Everything was delicious. The poutine was enormous and piping hot. The place smelled amazing, the staff were very friendly, we got our food fast, and the prices were fair for the insanely good quality food. A definite recommendation if you find yourself in White Bear.

Best grilled sammies ever! Actually, EVERYTHING is good here. Great little place to grab lunch. Just be aware of timing - this place gets BUSY during the normal rush times! Everything is made fresh to order with fresh ingredients. Yes it's a bit on the greasy side, but in a satisfying way, not a heart-attack way. This food is made with LOVE and it shows!!

I really didn't expect these sandwiches to knock my socks off, but they did! Fresh quality ingredients certainly make the difference. The entire family enjoyed their sandwich choices.
