The hotel was immaculate. The rooms are large and very clean and comfortable. I enjoyed an omelette every morning. The fitness center was nice and very clean. I also used the laundry center, which was very convenient. The staff goes out of their way to help you. I had a great experience here and would stay again.

Great hotel close to U of M, lots of food options in walking distance. The hotel was very clean, comfortable beds, very little noise. Would stay again if in Minneapolis.

I was so impressed with my room. Not only spacious, but probably the cleanest hotel I ever stayed at other than a vent in the bathroom being dusty. I was very happy to stay and will stay again.

The hotel was conveniently located to the university and the rooms were spacious. Brie was the front desk person helping us and was amazing! They went above and beyond to make sure we had a good stay and that we had everything we needed. All with a smile and a positive demeanor. It was so appreciated and I will be back again!

Room was clean and comfortable, however difficult to control temperature in the room. The TV turns on at 6:30 am by itself. Also housekeeping knocked on our door at 8:30 am the day we were checking out to see when we were leaving, we stayed there for a concert and got back late the night before. Needless to say the early morning wake ups were not appreciated.

The staff was friendly and the rooms were clean. I had two maintenance issues in the room that were promptly fixed by Hotel staff. The location is excellent if you're attending a football game at University of Minnesota which was our reason for the trip. The breakfast at this hotel was cheap looking, unattractive, and basically inedible. Possibly the worst scrambled eggs I've ever tasted.

Recently stayed at Home2 Suites by Hilton Minneapolis University Area for work. Checked in the afternoon of 10-8-2023. Two people were working the front desk. A woman and a young man. The lady was great and extremely helpful. While the guy working was not so helpful. It was like pulling teeth to get him to help you. The room was nice and spacious and the bed was comfortable. But be careful the bed frame has a bar the sticks out a little ( I bumped my leg against it twice). The hotel is located in an area where there a number of restaurants ( within walking distance) and a market in the general area. Also it's not far from the downtown area. Where there are some decent restaurants. Housekeeping was great .

Family of four (2 teens) we stayed for a week in connecting rooms while visiting extended family. Great location, close to fun food and drink places (Malcolm Yards and Surly are walking distance), and a grocery store. Easy to get to Mpls and St. Paul on University or the freeway. The staff was just wonderful, so friendly and so helpful. The last night we were there was the first night TSwift was in town and the hotel played her music in the lobby bar and had a special drink menu. Fun, especially for the many Swifties who were there. We enjoyed breakfast, the rooftop patio, the pool, and the fitness room. Oh, and very happy with the guest laundry! We will definitely stay here again.

Very nice hotel although I prefer hotels that don't allow dogs. I'm not paying to hear someone's dog barking all night and I definitely don't want to see them in the breakfast area. Other than that no complaints, great location and really nice amenities.

Great location, comfortable rooms, great breakfast each morning. Pool is shared with Hampton Inn. It was smaller than expected and freezing cold. Saw a mouse running through the lobby area by the bar at breakfast time, but other than that it was a clean hotel. Never had an issue with parking in the garage. Close to electric rail line for convenience in getting to major sports venues for relatively cheap ($2/ticket).

Excellent price, location, and amenities (except breakfast). I traveled to the area for a work assignment and have stayed at many Home2Suites across the country. The hotel is shared by a Hampton Inn by Hilton and thus the breakfast was the same as offered at Hampton. Very lackluster. No hot sandwiches, no toppings for the oatmeal, etc. Fitness center was top notch for this level of a hotel. Much appreciated. Pool was nice but too many guests at one time to be able to safely swim laps. Enjoyed that they had secure parking garage beneath the hotel and a key is required to enter the hotel and to go to Floors 2-7.

Super clean and very nice rooms. Friendly staff! James, the front desk guy, was so friendly and helpful! Zach the bartender was also super sweet! Both of them deserve raises!!

The location is central to the city and university. The staff was attentive and made a concerted effort to accommodate my requests. The breakfast buffet offered surprisingly good eggs and French toast. It was always stocked, the dining area was clean and contemporary. Most importantly the cleaning staff was spot on and made my stay feel very comfortable and safe.

I've stayed at Home2 suites many times, staff is always great, extremely clean rooms & comfortable beds. I absolutely love the full size kitchen to be able to cook & save expenses on eating out . The breakfast is always great fresh selection of foods.

Excellent value for very clean, comfortable and updated rooms. Parking is additional, but who doesn't charge for parking in downtown anywhere? Lg screen TV, room was equipped with apartment (full) size refrigerator and dishwasher, along with all the dishes if we needed them. Front desk gal was super nice and extremely helpful. I didn't get her name but she was from Medford!

We have been here for an annual event twice, the service is always friendly and helpful. The parking is a bit tricky if you get there late, but there is an overflow parking area near by. There is a shuttle service as well. We love the hotel bar and food. The pizza and the nachos are fantastic! The rooms are great as well, great for 4 people.

Rooms are clean and convenient for stays when you want a large refrigerator. Great downtown location and has parking available. Love the bar and rooftop area

The faculty was ok. Typical for Home2Suites. The desk service was bad. The person who checked us in was not helpful at all with some of our questions about the location. The night clerk was beyond rude. For that reason, we will not return. Breakfast was the worse Hilton breakfast I’ve had. I’m a Hilton Diamond member and travel with family a lot. Considering switching my loyalty to another brand. Hilton seems to be cutting too many corners. And the customer service is not as good anymore either.

We were in Minneapolis for the first time for our son's college track meet. The hotel is within walking distance of Minnesota University. The hotel and rooms are very clean and smelled good, the bed was very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We will stay here again!

Good location, parking and bar onsite. We stayed in a suite, plenty of room. Standard amenities, sink, dishwasher, refrigerator Facility clean, either relatively new or remarkable upkeep. Would rec for family stay. Would stay here next time we are in the area 5 star is based on comparable hotels (other suite type hotels)

The room was clean. Customer service was good. Breakfast was not good. The French toast was hard to the point you couldn’t cut it with a knife. Honestly I’ve had better breakfast than this. And was woken up by our neighbors and others partying at 3:30 in the morning and couldn’t go back to sleep. I had to contact the front desk and at least it was taken care of. The pool and hot tub was nice after traveling 4 hours. If I ever came back to Minneapolis, I wouldn’t choose this hotel since it’s in the college area.

Excellent, excellent, excellent! I had a fantastic room. It was quiet and clean. I found parking on the street alongside the hotel so that I didn't have to pay the steep parking fee. The breakfast was good. I have previously stayed at the hotel next door as well and this place is WAY better.

I’ve stayed at the Home 2 in 15-20 states and always have the same level of service however this stay was different. Room smelled of heavy bad cologne and the breakfast was not the norm that we have always experienced during our stays at the Home 2. Usually there is hot waffles, hot and cold eggs, breakfast sandwiches, omelets, muffins, etc. there were only 2 cheese omelets in the container and not much else. It was 7:00-7:30 and not busy either. On a better note, the pizza offered from the bar menu made for a nice dinner the night before so we didn’t have to leave the hotel late a night.

Just stayed for the weekend to visit family. Overheard the whole hotel was booked for various events in the area, yet the staff all seemed in very good spirits despite the heavy workload. Their breakfast was great and stayed open much later than we expected. Great owners that go out of their way to help you out, one even cleaned off a table for us because their staff was so busy. The design of the hotel is very beautiful and welcoming in both the lobby and the rooms. Overall a great stay, especially if you're looking for a spot near the U of M.

This hotel is clean, staff is friendly, and close proximity to the university. The shuttle is at the Hilton side but can be used if staying at home2 which was great for me and my colleague. The only thing is that they wouldn’t freshen up our bathroom with new towels even though we were staying for 7 nights. We also asked them to replace the toilet paper and remove the trash, they wanted us to do it ourselves. We couldn’t because we asked when we were leaving for work, so they did it for us, but I think that could have been better. Other than that, everything else was great service and clean. Would stay again.

The customer service was great from checking in to housekeeping and the bartenders as well! The room was clean and well kept and looked new. The hot tub was amazing also. The breakfast was just ehhh, but grateful it’s back after the pandemic. And well the only reason for the 4 stars …. I had a manager rudely interrupt my conversation with the front desk staff and then go on to bark orders at them. I was just offended by the way he talked to them.

This location is an outstanding value for the quality/amenities of the room and public areas as well and the helpfulness of the staff. Room was spotless. Nice bar near lobby. Rooftop terrace with fire pit was a pleasant surprise. The sales manager was present when we checked in and very helpful in trying to get us a reservation for a riverboat cruise (sold out unfortunately). Her recommendation to go to the Market at Malcolm Yards, a 2 block walk, was taken up and it did not disappoint. My only knock would be the complementary breakfast which did not meet the lofty expectations set by everything else in this hotel.

This hotel is excellent. Stayed for 7 nights in May 2022 and it had only been open for two months. The hotel is very clean, staff was friendly and accommodating. The bar is VERY fairly priced and I had several delicious cocktails and a good pizza! Fitness center is very nice; much more than most hotels. There is a rooftop patio with a grill and they were in the process of putting in a bar up there. Right by the university and downtown. One of the best hotel experiences I’ve had. Definitely stay here.

Stayed at this hotel passing thru for the night. It was great!! The newness of the hotel was refreshing. The rooms were clean and spacious. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The underground parking was a added bonus.....wasn't a fan of the parking fee....free washing and drying and laundry detergent provided. Quiet time is enforced. I had a call about my little ones!! Not much of a selection at breakfast. The bed slept like a cloud and the kitchen area was well needed!!! Would definitely stay here again!!!! Long term if needed!!
