This location needs more staff and better organizational skills. After 6 weeks of waiting on a reply from my paperwork, I never heard back. I went into the office of easily 200 people. After waiting some time, I was called to talk to a staff at one of the front desks. She said I would hear back from someone via Phone call within a couple of days. Never received a call. I then went back to the office to check on the status of my case, and I had to wait once again. 3 hours later, still no visit with a worker. I had to leave to pick up my children. This location needs serious help!!! Its sad to see myself and others doing their part, yet not receiving the help back... Now Im back to waiting... What else can do? Please get this location together. It should be better than this

Writing on behalf of my grandma: she was just up there trying to get a copy of her benefits for her grandchildren she has legal custody of. which she did get, but she was met with horrible unprofessionalism by a lady who is supposedly named “Vivian Miller Smith”. Vivian yelled out “if someone needs a benefit letter join my line.” My grandma said “That may be what I need”, and Ms Vivian yelled out “If you don’t know what you want, don’t come in this line.” It is sickening when the people who are supposed to help you when you are in need are rude, unprofessional, and unaccomidating. Not to mention she was texting on her phone half the time smh. Someone else did end up helping my grandma because she didn’t want to interact with this ignorant, unhelpful employee.

Maybe I went on a not so busy day. The male security guard was helpful and directed me. There was a line, but it seemed to move steadily. I noticed that there was only one female employee issuing the link cards, while an older female employee just walked around, went into what seemed the supervisors' office and talked for awhile, returned to desk, but didn't call anyone. She got up again walked around and then finally sat down and called an applicant, but while eating on a pear or an apple. A Caucasian employee called me up to the counter. He asked me to type information and yelled at me because I couldn't read the the numbers/letters on the keyboard. They were missing. I kept trying to tell him, but I eventually, figured it out. Soon 2 other female employees returned and they seemed nice and helpful. Overall, an easy day, with a few helpful employees but some lack professionalism. .

Horrible service. They never call back. I'm going to write a nasty gram to Grace Hou, Dept head, and cc to her boss Pritzker and channel 5 indicating how poor the service is.

I would give service a zero, however, it won’t allow me to do so. It is lease professional establishment. The greater majority are not train properly. The front desk alway detour you from requesting to see a supervisor. Inasmuch, they will inform you that no supervisor are on sight and someone will call you in 2 -3 business days and don’t. Some will say you didn’t turn in the paper and no one answers the phone. If you scheduled for an appeal, they don’t call you and deny your appeal, stating you missed the schedule phone call/ appointment.

I’d give 0 stars if I could. Can’t get a hold of anyone. Ever. What’s the point of even having this office open?

It’s really hard to get a hold of someone at this place. I had left messages and no one returns the call. The website to “renew” for your benefits wasn’t the greatest. It took me 2 weeks to renew. For the first week I couldn’t get past Step 1. But the end of second week, I was able to renew. Wow! lol! I had to sign in website to see when my interview was.. I never received mail to let me know when my interview was at and it told me it was on a Wednesday between 1pm - 3 pm. (The same day I logged in, how convenient!) I am at work between those times. I asked for early morning times because I work during the day/afternoon. I took a drive to Blue Island. (Roughly a 25-30 minute drive) and as I pulled up into the parking lot, I received a call from, maybe, my caseworker. She was okay. She told me that if I went inside, that no one would help me. I needed 1 more “letter” for my case. She gave me an email and it turns out the email “isn’t receiving emails” (go figure) and it was the wrong email.. how lovely and convenient!! Friday morning, I had drove back down to Blue Island to give my “letter” to someone there. The security guard there was nice and helpful. The lady behind the desk, she was VERY helpful and I was in and out.

Went up there Jan 20, 2022 to show proof of residence so I can get SNAP, the lady at the desk did do it right then & there, she even called me back to let me know I was approve for benefits beginning of February. I got a letter in the mail almost 2 weeks later saying I was approved & my benefits should be on my card 2 days later after I went up there on the 20th, it’s now Feb 4 & I still didn’t get anything on my card. I been calling & no on ever answers the phone.

0 stars . I applied the beginning of November and look it’s January. I emailed EVERYTHING to them that they asked then they sent a letter saying I was denied , but then sent a letter saying I get benefits in February so which is it , they NEVER answer and they know they don’t. Get rid of those people they don’t care about any of their cases oh don’t forget they schedule a interview then call weeks later on a different date then blame it on you talkin bout “you missed the interview “ trash

It is December 5th and freezing outside and they got people outside waiting. The amount of attitude from the employees is unreal. If you don’t want to help people then don’t work here.

If I could give zero stars I would. I've had problems with this location for years and it has only gotten worse. They never answer the phone, they currently terminated my case without even sending me a notice after I submitted my redetermination not once, but twice!!! They have messed up my case numerous times and tried to blame me for it, ummm NO!! They seriously need to get people who are willing to do their job and actually help people

They do not care about the ratings. What is it for? It’s a jock. Just formalities. No changes to what they do wrong. Seems like no one is willing to check or care about the poor services. Sadly our tax payers money is spent somewhere else where it matters to rich politicians personal interest that is like in Ukrainian and Israeli.

I’ve never been to a better office. I don’t know about everyone else situations. Each time I go it’s never a problem, I’m never waiting, and it’s a good energy there. 🥰😊 I appreciate that a lot.

Ms T Johnson took care of me. Answered all my questions regardless of how many I had. Gave me advice to keep on top of my case. And I was completely and utterly satisfied. Thank God for her patience!
