Nice first-time experience here. Great ambiance, friendly staff, excellent menu, great food and drinks. Exactly the Pilsener Haus has something for everyone! Warm Bavarian Pretzel was testy and really good and Mussels in garlic sauce were delicious. I recommend to try Grill Bratwurst and choose some from over 20 premium drafts and 50 European & American craft Biers.

Food was delicious and they have a decent selection of beers, waiter was good and informed us that it was half off Monday. Yet the "bill" (tiny, busy screen the server showed me not a printed or paper bill) didn't seem to reflect that. When I got home I added up everything we got at the regular menu price and it came out to exactly the same price I paid hmmm. So if my appetizers and beers were half off how is my bill the same price without any discounts taken off according to your online menu? Shouldn't it be less? But I wasn't given a printed receipt either so I can't find where the discrepancy is. No paper menus nor an actual bill for you to review/take with you. I prefer how it was before with an actual physical menu you can hold and bill with prices on it to make sure you're not getting miss charged or ripped off. Will definitely reconsider coming here again after this

When it opened and for years it was an authentic-feeling beer garden with actual beer garden music, food and service. Now it's a sports bar with wings and chicken fingers, bar staff with t-shirts and pop music. Just basically Texas-Arizona with sports on screens everywhere and more kids running around. I really, really miss the old place that was one of my favorites. At least the pretzels are still good.

One of my favorite place! It's been 2 years since I moved to NY. I remember that I could buy each sausage but the menu changed to with bun or two sausage with fries. The warm pretzel is my top pick!

Hands down this is one of the best outdoor/indoor casual atmospheres in Hoboken whether you are with your entire family or out with friends or a special someone. Great selection and rotation of draft and bottled beverages. The bratwurst platter served with fries and sauerkraut is one of the best grill items. The pretzel is always a favorite. Repeat customer, many times over!

Been coming here for years and love it but have been turned off by our last two visits. Last time we came excited for all the Octoberfest beers on the menu yet they were out of all of them! Tonight we came in for half off Mondays and were told they no longer do it despite a large sign on the outside of the building. We told the waitress about it and she didn't believe me even though I showed her a picture I had taken to send a friend earlier. interestingly enough the sign was removed when we left. Also the waitresses hover over you when paying on the little screen watching what you leave for a tip. I started asking for a paper printout now when they bring the little screen over.

There are a ton of beer options available in both half and full liter sizes. They also have a decent sized wine list. Food was great. Highly recommend the bratwurst and potato pancakes. They have outdoor seating with furnaces and plenty of space indoors. Great service and really solid menu.

The Pilsener Haus & Biergarten has communal style tables, but despite that me and my husband were still able to have an intimate dinner in their outdoor seating area! For your reference, the bill for our dinner (2 beers, 1 appetizer, 2 mains, 1 dessert) was $89.57 with tax. The food was incredibly good, the fries were a bit stale and the main reason for my lower review, as I believe they should match the quality of the rest of the food if they are going to be served as a side for everything.. the potato pancakes were infinitely better in our opinion. Weirdly enough, our favorite thing from the night was the pulled pork my husband ordered, I usually don’t even like it but theirs was incredibly tender and juicy. I was skeptical about the bread pudding, but it turned out delicious.

AVOID: Overcharged >$50. Will not respond to emails or VM. I visited with some friends last Saturday, and noticed on the way home that Pilsener Haus over charged me $50 by duplicating the tip. I have attempted to get in contact 5 times over the past week: 4 emails and a voicemail with no response. Please beware of this before considering visiting this location. Finally, they also charged us for more people in our party for bringing a birthday cake. (Restaurant charges $3/person if you bring your own cake). I wouldn’t care normally, but at this point I’m quite upset. I strongly encourage taking your business elsewhere.

Thoroughly enjoyed my visit here to see a local band play out. Showing a movie on the wall outside while in the beer garden was nifty, and the house DJ knew his customers because the music was really good. All that is a nice setting for liters of good beer and good food. The curry brat was particularly tasty. A return visit will determine if the place is five stars, but i feel like this is a solid pick.

Probably the best beer garden in the area! Great choice of beer, decent food and live music!

They have live bands on weekends. We went on a Friday and had a blast to the likes of Incubus, Green Day (Blvd of Broken Dreams, American Idiot...), and Papa Roach mixtapes after the band was done lol Great for reminiscing millennials and Gen Xs :D

Great vibe very lively and always packed. Overall the food is great and so is the beer selection. They have rotating beer specials and sometimes have live music.

Excellent authentic German cuisine with the brew to back it up. Does not disappoint if you dont mind an authentic bier hall seating arrangement. Sometimes finding seating for you and your Honey may be difficult at peak times. Good food with NYC pricing. Be prepared. Oh, and you must order the pretzel! UPDATE: it's been 5 years since I have been here. Just as good if not better than the first time. Ordered soup to nuts with some family. Great time, good beer and virtues. Visited on Half Price Monday, where 90% of the menu is 50% off.

The food service and atmosphere are excellent. The selection of beers is amazing and the prices are very reasonable. If you're in Hoboken it's a MUST.

An authentic and fun-filled atmosphere with an impressive German menu. Of course, there's an extensive list of German brews, popular selection of worst, and traditional German dishes such as spaetzle, pretzel and German style potato. Absolutely worth the visit for locals in the area and for others from afar.

This is my go-to spot when I want to have a nice refreshing beer after a long day, or if I want to go watch a game. That atmosphere is fantastic and makes it a great experience every time. The food compliments yeah atmosphere highly recommend the large pretzel with a liter of beer.

It's Octoberfest. If you're looking for a quiet place on a Saturday afternoon this isn't for you. If you're thirsty from me a long bike ride get a beer and a pretzel. It's loud and fun.

The best french fries ever. Great Smoked Polish Kielbasa. The pretzel came with delicious mustard souce. And the octotofest beer was refreshing and good.

Food was good, drinks were good, ambiance was good, service needed help. It helps if your drinks arrive first, then appetizers, then main course.. not in a random order
