This lake is good if you have a boat, but bank fishing is mediocre at best. If you do get the Jackson County pass to put a boat on the lake, you better be sure to be loaded up and leaving the park at sunset. Not at dark, not five minutes after sunset, you need to be rolling out at sunset. The park rangers here have little to no patience or understanding for people loading up and trying to get everything put away to leave. If you are still there in the park at sunset you are going to get a ticket.

Becoming one of my favorite places to fish that's close to home. The scenery is beautiful.

Low key awesome lake. Great to pull young kids around on the tube due to the size and the fact it's never busy.
