Isiah helped us with our tree selection. He was very knowledgeable and helped us understand the things to look for in selecting the perfect tree for our situation. He was willing to share his thoughts both negative and positive. This was our first visit to Colonial Gardens and they have set the bar very high on customer service. We will not hesitate to use Colonial Gardens again.

Colonial Gardens is such a beautiful nursery! I live a few minutes away and frequent this place often with my baby! We love watching their chickens and browsing the greenhouse and all the plants. They have so much variety and every visit I find something new! They also have a great section with plants under $5, baby plants, this is where I buy most of my greens!! All the plants are so healthy and they are competitive in their pricing I haven’t found better deals anywhere else! Joy is so sweet! If you have any plant needs or questions go to her she will help you above and beyond! The return policy is one day only so I hope that changes in the future (I have cats and sometimes pick up a plant that I didn’t realize was poisonous, I have a nibbler kitty so it’d be nice to exchange the plant). But other than that it’s a great place! Plus the cafe serves delicious food and drinks. They also have a farm side where you can go berry picking but I haven’t done that yet.

Have you been here yet? This place is amazing. Yes, it is more expensive for plants than your local Home Depot but dang there’s crazy selection, healthy plants, tons of people to help you, events, pet-friendly, and beverages and snacks for purchase. Lots and lots of shrubs and trees too. Plus there are kid events on the weekend (follow their FB page). I only wish the coffee shop/bistro was open more regular hours (or at all). It’s clean and has public restrooms you’re not afraid to use.

Great place. Some of the employees are so sweet and helpful. It's a lovely place to be in. However, some of the employees aren't enjoyable. Everyone has their bad days so maybe this was one of them. But I watched an ordeal happen that made me think twice about asking for help out of fear of judgement and misinformation. I watched a few women walk in and ask about some cantaloupe for sale. The employee that they asked insisted that cantaloupe was actually muskmelons and not cantaloupe. When asked which type of melon they were the employee continued to call them muskmelons without telling them what actual type of muskmelon they were. The employee also claimed that they were native to the area. I don't know if the employee meant they were grown local because they are not native to the area. And the term muskmelon refers to a group of produce. This whole conversation the employee acted as if the customer's question was beneath them. The women were very nice and walked away a bit confused. I found it a bit sad that the employee treated the women that way and gave them shoddy information. So as much as I love this place please double check the information they give as the employees are only human and do make mistakes. And if an employee is being rude to you just walk down a different aisle and ask a different employee. Customer service is tough but you should still feel safe when asking a question. I later saw the women having a great time in the sapling section. At least it didn't ruin their experience.

This is my go to garden shop for my yearly vegetable, fruit, flower and succulent plantings. It is a big, fun place to just rove around and discover a myriad of plants. They have a cafe, music and wine in the garden nights, workshops, a market with local foodstuffs, farm to table dinners and so much more.

Such a beautiful place, I can spend hours there. If it can be planted, you'll find it there, beautiful pots and planters, yummy café and lovely patio to relax and enjoy. They also have a wide variety of classes and a nice you pick area.

Colonial Gardens is so cool! I love to visit this nursery whenever I’m in town to see what they have. I found a huge v. hoya compacta and they have tons of other plants to see!

Very, very disappointed! Our company River Watch Beef has been a vendor in their local market since Colonial Gardens opened several years ago. BE ADVISED, they do not pay vendors on time, or even close. We've had to wait MONTHS to get paid on our beef deliveries. It's been excuse after excuse. They have high staff turnover and the upper management doesn't seem to care. What a disappointing company that claims to support local businesses, but seems to take advantage of us.

My Mim and I took a succulent class. For $20 we had chips and salsa and filled a 5 inch pot with 3 succulents, dirt and rocks. Very beautiful and relaxing environment.

My mom and I went to the Flower Festival August 19th. We had a blast! It was so beautiful. We got to pick as many flowers as we could in a 5 gallon bucket for $45. One nice thing is you can bring the bucket back and refill it for $30 next time you want to pick flowers. Great price. Friendly staff. Worth the experience if you love picking flowers and just hanging out in an orchard. They also have rows and rows of apple trees you can pick. We didn't do that part, but it looked fun too!

Beautiful place to walk around and enjoy all the living things. They have a nice area for lounging and visiting, sometimes live bands play. The ambiance is warm, relaxed, and inviting. I've been here on a romantic date with the hubby where we enjoyed a live band, walking around with some cocktails during 'Sip and Shop'. I've also visited with my girlfriends during events such as 'breakfast with the Llamas' 💕 🦙 Right now, they have decked their halls, and those poinsettias are gorgeous!

The employees here are always so friendly and very knowledgeable. Very aesthetically pleasing place and the best selection of plants I have seen. Especially if you are looking for native species! They had the most we have been able to find.

If you're doing any work and need material from them ensure you order your material for a day before. Timing is everything for contractors and subcontractors. They are not the most punctual but they will get it to you... even if it's the last minute of the day.

I was looking for certain plants. Staff found what I was looking for quickly. Everyone there was very friendly and helpful. Made my shopping experience there very good.

This place has grown so much in the last several years. The nursery has everything, and is well taken care of. My favorite part might be the market with locally made/grown foods. We haven't been to any classes or you-picks yet, but definitely want to check those out.

I always leave feeling so inspired to start on my projects. Knowledgeable staff helps me feel assured in my decisions on which plants I should use and mix together. They have great classes to teach us how to confidently plant planters or take on projects. My favorite place to start on my landscape projects!

We bought trees here this spring and called them with questions on more than one occasion. Helpful staff! Very knowledgeable. Lots of fun events and classes, definitely something to keep track of if you live in blue springs.

I went to a celebration of life they hosted for one of their employees, Jeff King, and it was so beautiful. The owner Tory and all the staff were amazing. The food they provided was excellent also. Thank you for honoring Jeff with such compassion.

Absolutely loved walking through this place with my baby girl. So why 4 instead of 5 stars? I approached the customer service desk labeled "customer service". Prior to letting me get a word out of my mouth the woman snapped "if you want help you need to go to the check out line" Me, not having anything in my hands to purchase...I said "oh we were wanting to do the u pick"...this time her response was even shorter and discouraged me altogether from the picking experience. Other than that it was lovely.

So much to look at! The local food, drink, herbs, fruits and veggies is so refreshing. It’s a beautiful place to just go walk around. The staff is very knowledgeable about all the different types of plants. Even their little restaurant is all food that have been cultivated locally. LOVE this spot.

Great place. Had a good time looking at plants and trees, not to mention the indoor gift shop. We tried several local products. Came again a few nights later to enjoy the outdoor music venue. Great time relaxing with family.
