The food is amazing. True Kansas City BBQ. Service was fast, the employees are pleasant and accommodating when you search them out. The only issue that I had was having to interrupt personal conversation to get assistance, and I would prefer to order from my table, rather than at the counter.

Up from San Antonio In Kansas City for a Chiefs game. (Chiefs won) and I always try to eat at a different BBQ place each time I visit. This time it was Zarda BBQ in Blue Springs just outside Independence. About 2 minutes off I-70 it was easy to find. Got here about 5:45, not crowded at all. Staff was cordial as I came up to order. Went with my "go to" meal brisket and sausage, dudes of fries and beans. Meal came out after a short wait. First thing I noticed was it already had save on the meat. This prevented me from trying one of the 4 sauces at the table. The next thing I noticed ( being from Texas) was the sausage. It was sliced thin and round. Almost like a pepperoni on a pizza. Brisket was thinly sliced as well and both meats placed on slices of bread under. Overall the meal was good and tasty. Though I had to settle with what I believe was "original" sauce already in the meat it was flavorful. Both meats were well cooked. I would definitely recommend Zarda BBQ in Blue Springs, Missouri. (Side note: started getting more crowded around 630 as I was leaving. Plus a lot of pickup order heading out the door. Locals know)

I love Zarda. The meats are juicy and great flavor. The sauce and sides are also good. Usually you have to sacrifice one in a BBQ place but this one has it all right.

Their prices are just unreasonable for the quality. $17 for a combo with a sandwich, fries and a drink? Absolutely not worth it.. they are what I would consider fast food bbq and definitely not worth those premium prices. You can go to Jack Stack, Smokehouse BBQ etc and pay the same if not less for much better quality bbq. They just be putting their remodel onto their customers to be charging $17 for a combo meal. Save your money and go somewhere that’s worth that much!

This is one of my first introductions to KC BBQ. I came here with some friends who are from the area and they were able to steer me in the right direction in terms of what dish to get (Limited reserve burnt ends). I thought that the food was really good, but probably not the best barbecue that I’ve had. The sides were pretty good as well. I felt as though the sandwiches needed barbecue sauce added to them, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but the barbecue sauce could have been a little better. I would definitely return here for some barbecue, though, and found Zarda quite enjoyable.

7/2/23 Been here for many years. Not sure why iv never posted a review before. (Dinner 9pm) I don't get the same thing because everything is great. Today I took the in-laws from TX to a local BBQ place and they loved it. Got the Sunday rib special. Two meat mix plate of sausage and pork burn-ins. Wife got the kids combo of Sides-BBQ beans, cowboy potatoes, white mac and cheese, fries and cheesy corn. Everything was great. Ribs wasn't as fresh as we was late for dinner. But wasn't fatty and greasy like most places. Always good food. Friendly people clean restaurant. They have two kinds of sauces. Original and sweet and tangy. I enjoy a spicy but that's ok. They don't taste like vinegar so no worries there. If you never tried this place, it's a good locally founded establishment. I've had other places it's not up to par. Especially coming in late for dinner. Everyone knows BBQ is fresh for lunch.

Zarda never disappoints me and my recent visit was no exception. I ordered the rib plate with two sides, so I chose wedges and cheesy corn. When I received my order, I was pleasantly surprised at the new plates and side dishes. They just added to the dining experience. My ribs were tender, my fries were cooked to golden perfection and my cheesy corn was exceptional. My friend joined us and this was his first Zarda experience and needless to say, he became a fan as well. Will definitely return in the near future.

I hate to leave bad reviews. BUT I ordered here last weekend (10/16/22} and it was plain awful. I was in town for the weekend, had read reviews and was excited to try it. Ouch! No. I ordered a burnt ends sandwich, sides of baked beans and potato salad. I had time to taste test their sauces and really liked the bold and spicy so asked for that in my to go bag. I got that. I originally told them that I was staying in a hotel so would need flatware. Didn't get any. What I got was my sandwich, beans and coleslaw. Two bites of the sandwich (actually just the burnt ends) so dry and fatty, I almost choked to death. Doused it heavily with the sauce, did nothing so I threw it out. Service-wise, it was ok. The kid I had was in training, not a big deal but he wasn't getting much help. Hopefully it was just a bad night for them but it's one I surely will NOT repeat!

Been coming here all my life for some of the best BBQ in KC, right here in BS! Consistent flavors and quality, always fresh and delicious. I love the ribs, the roast beef, the pickles, the beans and the fries are the best!

Its a good place to eat. The service is not consistent. One time a server actually brought our food to three table another time it was like order number blah blah blah. I prefer the more friendly service to as though you're just a number.

I first ate here when I was visiting UMKC as a high school graduate from St. Louis. My pops and I stopped in on the way back to STL, food was great! This was back in 2012. Low and behold, I moved to Blue Springs last year, pretty wild, now my wife and I are local to this establishment and it's still yummy as ever. Thanks for remaining consistently delicious all these years!

Food and service can be hit or miss, but normally pretty good just wished didn't pre-sauce their platters. I always forget to tell them no sauce so can use the kind and amount I want. Don't want to add more sauce when already has sauce on it. Go here for bbq mostly because it is close.

Food was so good and larger portion for the price compared to other KC BBQ staples. Inside is really nice with the new remodel. Sauces are all VERY good. I'll be back more often!

I used to come here every time I visited a friend of mine in Blue Springs. Hadn't seen him in years, but found myself right here by Zarda so dropped in for she dinner. The place was packed, but they took my order quickly and got my food to me quickly as well. Great service. I had the pork burnt ends, beans, and cheesy corn. While they weren't bad, they all tasted very different from what I remember. I've eaten at the one in Lenexa pretty recently and this food didn't taste like that food either. So I'm not sure what's going on. Next time I'm in Blue Springs with some time to kill, I'll give them another chance. Maybe this time was just a fluke. The parking lot was pretty full, but I found a spot. Didn't use the restroom, so can't really comment on that. No dedicated motorcycle parking that I saw.

Been wanting to try this place for a while but honestly was a little disappointed. BBQ was decent but not worth almost $19 for lunch. Wasn’t very hot when I got it and flavor was mediocre at best. Sides were pretty good though and service was fast

Back in May, we had employed Zarda to cater our son's wedding rehearsal dinner. I think there were around 60 people there. The young lady that came set up the catering and was ready for people to go through the line right on time. We had pulled pork, turkey, baked beans, cheesy potatoes, and salad. The young lady that set up the food line was very courteous and professional. Plus the food was good too. I wished I had ordered twice as much cheesy potatoes, there were none left!

Get the Hog Wild. Wedge Fries. Try all the sauces. If you're having a bad day. Come here & you'll feel better. It's one of the best in KC!

The meat on their sandwiches is so lean, and the sauces are delicious. They're also very friendly and great about quality checking the order. A very casual, family friendly atmosphere with amazing food that's a lot for the price.

Ordered take out. Staff was extremely friendly while we waited for our order to finish. Was looking forward to our meal, but the taste was just okay. I had the pork burnt ends, and other members in my party had the ribs, the sweet carolina sandwich, and the limited reserve burnt ends. With the exception of the limited reserve burnt ends, the food wasn't anything special. Now, those burnt ends on the other hand, which I did taste, were fabulous! They had such a nice flavor. If you are to eat at Zarda, just order the limited reserve burnt ends!

Adequate barbecue for the local area I believe there’s a few locations in the Casey metro area. Wife and I walked in and were a bit confused, did not know whether to sit stand, be waited on, or go order ourselves. Took a shot, interacted with the hostess, didn’t seem too thrilled. Tried to upsell me on some onion rings that I wasn’t too keen on. Overall the burnt ends and sandwich along with my wife’s pulled pork, Were very tasty and feeling good. 🐖

The amount of hairs in my food is crazy, I finished almost all of my corn nuggets with my kids under 4 and discovered hair, I paid that no mind however, until I found another hair in my ranch 🤢no one in my family has short black hair this these, disgusted is a understatement. I usually love their food but to have hair in food I just paid 60 dollars for is crazy 🙄 my anxiety is the worst so I guess I’ll get over it

The ribs were dry and tough. The turkey was like sliced deli meat. Paid right at $20 a plate, ridiculous for deli meat. Beans, tenders were good. Apple cinnamon sauce was good. All in all wasn't worth the money we paid. Bandana's BBQ in st louis beats this place hands down!!!
