I ordered two meals for curbside pickup and got a confirmation email saying the food would be ready by 6:46. I got to the restaurant at 6:55 and checked in on the phone. We waited about 10 minutes and nobody came out so I sent my brother in to ask for the food and they said it wasn’t ready yet so he waited. He asked a couple more times and nobody knew anything about the order. 20 minutes went by and the food “wasn’t ready” until my brother pointed out a bag the employees had just sitting on a counter on their side. This is when they noticed that was our order. We waited almost 40 minutes for food that was sitting in the counter waiting to be picked up. Nobody came to the car nor told my brother about it until he asked what that was after waiting for so long. Unacceptable

Always great food and service Join the rewards program for savings Pickles are great Lately I've had issues with my order here. I love the Harvest Chicken Salad sandwich but the last 3 times the croissant is burned all around the edges and it tastes awful. Not enough Chicken salad lately. Today I had burned bread and lettuce....a lot of lettuce. I had a hard time placing the order and using my rewards. I go to McAllisters at least once a week and I'm wondering if I should drive to the McAllisters in liberty. March 1,2023 Tried The New Yorker sandwich and it was great 👍 Service was very good I decided to try it again. Ordered my favorite meal. Harvest Chicken Salad sandwich and Country potato soup. When I placed my order I let them know exactly how I wanted my food and how bad it was in the past. They went out of their way to make it perfect. Very pleased with the food and service

Wife & I went in on 8/4/2022,. She had the Angus Spud (huge & delicious, she has a Gluten sensitivity), I had the pick 2. I asked about a certain salad & particular sandwich our cashier told me that was included. Then she asked if I wanted a pickle & I said sure. She didn't say anything about there will be an upcharge of $1.25 for the salad or a $1.50 charge for the pickle (which I never got). I believe your order takers should inform the public at the time that there will be an upcharge. Food was good

I order a sandwich and specifically told them NO bacon n NO ham. Lucky one of the employees caught the issue before so she sent it back. But I looked again and it was not remade just the same sandwich with bacon still on it. So I sent it back to have it remain. Don’t like that my sandwich was just thrown together. I’m not paying for it to be thrown around and not to be made correctly.

I decided to create an online order through the app for the first time since I was on a time crunch between classes. I ordered The Veggie but substituted the 9-grain and replaced it with the baguette. I got the mac ‘n cheese even though it’s an additional $1.00, a chocolate chip cookie, & a half sweet/half unsweetened tea. Total was around $15 which is a bit pricey but I was treating myself on a busy day. Upon arriving at the establishment, they had a sign saying online orders were out in the back due to theft. This defeats the purpose of online ordering since I had to wait in a busy, long line for an extra 10 minutes to tell the cashier that I had a to-go order. Fortunately it was ready but I was thrown off by the wrapped sandwich instead of the previously standard sturdy box. I was worried the sandwich would be soggy, but thankfully it was not. However, they did not replace my bread substitute and they completely forgot about the pickle which I specifically checked the “add” box when ordering on the app. Not to mention, no option for adding or even paying for extra pickles. The crunchy pickle is one of the best parts of the meal so that was disappointing. The mac ‘n cheese is good although I’m not sure if it’s worth the extra $1.00, the cookie is nice and gooey so if you prefer overly cooked cookies this is definitely not the one for you. Half sweet and half unsweet tea is perfect, as the sweet tea by itself is overly sweet. Overall 3/5 stars because of the inconvenience, inconsistency, and forgetfulness. Good food just not enough attention to detail which you expect when paying $15 for a simple lunch.

Me and the Mrs. both had choose 2. Young man taking our order courteous, good eye contact. Repeated order to get it right. Got food in a timely manner. While we were there a special needs person came in and staff did not hesitate to make sure he was taken care of properly. Nice to watch. Should be proud. Nothing but good here. Thank you.

My first review was removed for some reason. Basically service appears to run show, maybe just the way is it there (our first visit). Tables were clean, staff friendly just kinda slow and they wern't even busy. The sandwich I had looked terrific when it came but realized when I picked it up it was an optical illusion. The meats are clumped in the middle of the bread then cut 4 ways in triangles, triangles facing the middle and appears you got a nice sandwich, however if you lift the bread really there is only meat at the tip of the triangle the sandwich was good, not amazing, not bad but good. Lot of dry bread on this one. (note I did ask for the bacon on the side not on the sandwich). We likley would return, maybe order something different.

Expensive! I spent over $30 for a meal for two. I may go again but I'll just order one menu item. Also, restaurants need to go back to small, medium and large drinks. The regular drink I had two people could share. I didn't drink all of my beverage. We are so wasteful in America!

Every time I come here! There is a hair in the food. I haven’t been here over a year. I ordered my sandwich and soup online in store pick up. And decided to purchase their mini cookies. I eat some. The. The next day I grab one and there is a hair stuck to the cookie! This is disgusting. And it looks like cat hair or dog hair! I have neither. I am beyond disgusted. This has happened to many times!

My wife spend years trying to get me to go here and I was not interested at all for whatever reason. Now my car drives itself there. It's great, I love the French Dip and she loves their Reuben's. Service is excellent, maybe a tad slow in getting to the register but the place is great so I don't mind! Give them a shot, it won't disappoint.

So… I love the food here. But this is now the 4th time I’ve ordered without tomato and gotten tomato on the sandwich. Every time the ticket says no Tomato too, I haven’t complained the other times cause I can pick it off, but I wouldn’t ever bring a friend here if they were allergic to anything.. it just seems to be a clear pattern at this point that they don’t read your order when they make it

I am super disappointed in the current quantity and quality of the food at the location in Independence, MO. We have been ordering from McAlister's in Independence for quite awhile, but the last several orders have been very disappointing. Ingredients left off, much smaller portions, old food...I did the math and can make a from-scratch, carrot cake with organic ingredients and spend as much as it costs for 1 piece of theirs. And my cake is moist, unlike the piece I got today. My order today was to celebrate my wedding anniversary, 02/18/2024. My husband, Randy, passed from ALS on 10/27/23 and McAllister's was our fave.

Check your food for bugs or foreign objects that are not ingredients??? Please see photo for reference. We went in around 6 PM. We probably got our food at 6:30? It was a very long wait. All of the tables were dirty but I found one that was doable. We sat down and ate for a bit and I decided to take my leftovers home. When I later on decided to eat at home, I found something very disturbing on my hand and cheese. Ham and cheese, mustard and tomato is usually the only thing that’s on my sandwich but as I took a bite and played with my food a bit, I found some thing that looks like it had been cooked into my sandwich with cheese melted on it that is black. I don’t know if this is a bug or what. But I do know I’ve lost my and I will no longer eat here. I knew we should’ve left when it took forever for food, but this is disgusting

My wife and I like to eat at McAlister's and enjoy many of their sandwiches. We especially enjoy that they can make almost all of their sandwiches gluten free. Our experiences have tended to be very positive. That changed this week. We took my wife's mother to get something to eat after she had a procedure. We needed it to be gluten free as both my wife and mother-in-law are celiacs. This hasn't ever been an issue, but apparently now it is. When the manager brought our food to the table, he made sure to tell us what a bother it was to have to clean his prep area for our order. I suppose that is one way to do customer service - tell your customer how they inconvenience you? No problem, we won't eat here again. Thanks.

Very happy with the portion. I was surprised as I had not quite expected such a variety of salads. It has enough menu options that I'm definitely interested in trying more. Southwestern Grilled Chicken Salad- A+

I went on busy Friday night. I ordered my food around 7:30 and didn’t get it until 8:15. The pickup time was 7:49. I understand people get busy and restaurants get behind from time to time. I was apologized to once for sitting in their waiting for over 25 minutes and it wasn’t direct ti me just the lazy manager yelling sorry to the group. I was never offered a free beverage to drink while I waited. Never a free bag of chips. Then I watched the manager have a conversation with what looked to be one of his buddies for at least 5-8 minutes while his staff was drowned trying to keep up and tables covered with dirty plates. As a business owner myself I found it quite disgusting to watch this manager completely mismanage the situation and let his staff fail while he slacked off. Simply a situation of poor management here. Food was fine

We love McAllister. This is one of our favorite places to eat. The food seems fresh and there are a lot of healthy choices. The iced tea is famous and the food taste great.

This is literally the last time I come to this place. My first bad experience they made my drinks and set them on the counter infront of the next person in line where they were speaking into my drinks practically! the staff is rude as heck, we repeatedly said thank you ,and tipped and all the kids are just snappy. And act irritated . They never say you’re welcome back . they literally act like customers are the enemy ,and they don’t wanna be her! We will never be coming back!

Reuben sandwich was excellent, however, don’t get the chicken tortilla soup. It is literally a condensed nacho cheese with tortilla chips in the side. I’m giving it a 1 for that . Very disappointing! Smokey Pepper Jack turkey was a 4 according to my husband. The chili was a 3.

It's just horrible, Your GM Mikey should be nowhere close to being A general manager cause the man is awful. I've seen him throw hissy fits at his employees plus he just gives zero care about any employees. Makes them take orders an hour before close, Yells at em, and just does not care about any of them. Happy employees are 100x more important than happy customers. If no employee is happy then no customer is gonna be happy with their good. Yall need to either pay the employees more money or just treat the employees better in general cause right now it seems none of yalls managers cares about any employees of theirs tbh.

Once again McAlister's shines! The food was absolutely delicious, the soup hot, the bacon cooked perfectly and the avocado ripe on the BLT+A! Really nice lunch combo at a reasonable price 😋. The service was quick with plenty of staff on hand which was nice to see. The restaurant was clean with a nice quiet atmosphere although the place was busy 👌. I enjoy my visit every time I dine there.

Great tasting black angus spud and tea. The service was fast and free refill on the tea was greatly appreciated. Again had to take half the spud home for later as I was only able to eat half it was so big.

My first time, i usually dont care for sandwiches. They have a unique menu with lots of options. I had half sandwich with cup of soup. The wait for food divered to our table was a bit too long, but the food was really very good. They have something for everyone, sandwiches, soup, salads, desserts.

I got a pick 2 BLT+A, and Potato soup with a drink of strawberry Black berry sweet tea. The service was quick, but it was fresh. Staff was friendly, and helpful. The food is absolutely divine, and McAlisters is one of my favorite places to eat.

I ordered for curbside pick up, not carry out, not delivery. Once I arrived, I drove around looking for the designated curbside parking, eventually I just parked as close as possible before hitting the 'I am here' hyperlink that was sent in my confirmation email. After waiting approx 10 min, without seeing any employees walk out the door, I went inside to 'carry out' my food. While walking towards door, I found a plastic ground level 'curbside pickup' sign hidden behind a car that had been there no less than 20 min. I walk inside, wait in the line, get to the counter and request my order. Its found around the corner, and likely nobody had intentions of bringing it out to me. When i asked the employee, is there someone who tracks the curbside orders to bring them out, she said "there is supposed to be but I don't know who does it or how they keep track" So, maybe that needs to be fixed before its advertised as an option.

We've gone here 3 times over the past year hoping for it to be better each time and each time it's worse. Portions are smaller, prices are higher, all for a mediocre run of the mill sandwich (seriously, a PB&J made at home would be just as filling and tasty as this place is). The employee's taking our order have always had a bad attitude. You could literally pick any other sandwich place in the area (Subway, Jimmy John's, Firehouse, etc.) and get a bigger and better sandwich with more meat on it for a lower price.
