After years of "why haven't you been?" Finally ventured out of the city for eats....Pearl's did not disappoint..Front of house, management, servers, bar staff, always friendly. The ambiance is laid back (not too pretentious). Have sampled a few items from the menu and all were top tier for the price point... $$$ dining for party of 3 seafood lovers during "regular" hours. Although $20 will get you a great app + drink during HH.

My husband and I had an amazing experience at pearl. Our waiter Austin A, was absolutely phenomenal! Attentive, knowledgeable, and completely friendly. The food was spot on and absolutely mouthwatering. We look forward to our next visit.

We came for their crab boil. I myself have had many crawfish and crab boils both in Louisiana and Maryland. Having one in Missouri I was a little skeptical. Not knowing what to expect I was absolutely thrilled to have a four course meal, salad, macaroni and cheese, then the crab boil and dessert on top of having excellent cocktails all night. For an extremely reasonable price, I will be back!

Terrible experience today. Went to Pearl for happy hour, told there was patio seating but no inside seating for happy hour. We sat outside. We were seated in the parking lot. It was very sunny, the employee tilted the umbrella at our table so we could see for our “fine dining experience” in the parking lot. They don’t even have anything to keep the umbrellas from rotating, so it was spinning and literally hitting my mother in the back. We went inside, said we’d buy dinner, and were provided a table. Told we could order off the same menu literally after the hostess said that we could use the same one. At the table we were told we couldn’t get happy hour pricing on appetizers or drinks with our dinner. Half the restaurant was literally empty. We were willing to pay full price for dinner. Just wanted a happy hour drink. Thank you Pearl and Third Street Social for letting me know just how little you value my business.

My wife and I ate here for the first time this evening. We went around 4:30 p.m. which happened to be during their happy hour. The oysters were half-off, and we also got a good deal on the appetizer and drinks. Our food was excellent! My wife loved the oysters, and I was shocked at the size of the fish that came with the fish and chips. Katelyn W. was a fantastic server. She was very attentive and friendly. Ask to sit in her section when you go. You won't be disappointed. The restaurant and restrooms were clean and orderly. My wife and I will definitely be going again.

First visit and we will definitely return. Everything we ordered was delicious. I will order shrimp tacos every time I dine here. The crab rangoon was good but I won’t order it again. The panko on the crispy shrimp platter was super crunchy. The fried lobster was perfectly cooked and the batter was light and crispy. I might need to order it every visit too. We ate some of the lobster before I took a picture so the serving is much larger than it appears. Same with the shrimp tacos. Not sure how we ended up ordering mostly fried food because they have a lot of other options. The restaurant is clean and service was great. Looking forward to dining at Pearl Tavern again soon.

This was our 1st of hopefully many more visits. The restaurant was clean, nice ambience. Hostess and Server were friendly and helpful. Spoke to the Manager. Let him know the food was great, we enjoyed our lunch, we will be back and that I highly recommend this Seafood restaurant to all wanting great food! We had; (Entree)Fish & Chips & Lobster Roll. (Appetizers)Peel n Eat Shrimp, Crab Cake, Crab Dip & Hushpuppies.

My family and I went here for brunch today. And I have to day that for the most part it was good. The peel and eat shrimp was amazing and the caramelized Brussel Sprouts simply delicious. We had the mamossa flight it was good. My biggest issue was the Eggs Benedict. There was no discerning flavor at all the crab cake was mushy and the Hollandaise sauce was this and bland.the poached egg was over cooked the yolk was like a medium boiled egg it was Mediocre at best. The restaurant was beautiful but the menu was not thought out. We will go back for dinner menu.

I visited for the first time because I was craving seafood and it fit the bill! The service and food were both impressive. If you like good seafood, this is the place for you. Their menu is pretty extensive and creative in my opinion. Their lobster rolls appetizer was delicious. We also tried the hush puppies and those were less impressive. My brother in law and I both had scallops for our entrees and they were cooked perfectly. Their cocktail list was expansive and I tried the Blackberry Bramble Crush. Would recommend!

I just moved here with my fiancé so this was my first time here. I honestly wanted to go somewhere else because I felt like the seafood boil was a bit expensive and I was correct. It wasn’t worth the price and I wasn’t able to enjoy it anyway because there was some ones hair in my food. My fiancé called and he was going to bring it back but It wasn’t worth the drive back. He needed to get some sleep because he’s a truck driver and had to go to work. I will never come back.

Great food, romantic atmosphere. The restaurant did get quite noisy during busy dinner hours and we did have to wait on drinks and then refills. The halibut, scallops, and salmon were all perfectly cooked and delicious.

This place is always packed but they got us in very quickly. The seafood is always amazing. I recommend the Oysters Rockefeller. The portions are huge and the prices are very reasonable.

Excellent food and service this visit! Happy hour shrimp tacos were the bomb. Hats off to the chef. Wait staff was great too. 07.29.23 update. Still good 👍 food! Drink delivery orders are way slow. This happened last time we went too. But the wait staff were very very friendly and appreciative.

Today I was very disappointed with the Pearl Tavern which is part of the 3rd Street Social Family, which we are frequent guest. We arrived at Happy Hour, ordered drinks and our oysters, which were excellent. ( shucker guy was awesome alot of knowledge) My problem was the service we might have been between shift change but no communication between servers. We sat at the bar without drinks or food order for 20 minutes. They walked by several times and saw empty glasses. The only time they addressed my wife was when I went to the front to ask for a manager. When I was talking to the manager, the waitress finally asked my wife for a drink order. When I explained issues with the manager all he said was " ok, ok" He didn't resolve anything. We closed our tab at full price and will give them another chance but you should really work with the manager with his customer service resolutions. 3 p.m on 11/08/20 slow afternoon.

Love the food and really appreciate the bar tender Noah for the suggestion of choosing my dinner when they ran out of my usual. He was on top of his game and was always checking on us… making sure we are happy with everything… 100% happy with the food and services. I will be back and soon

This place is really spectacular when it comes to seafood they shock their own oysters and have a great menu I personally enjoy the shrimp po boy huge fan of poboy sandwiches. But if seafood is not your thing that's OK they also have alternative selections as well that are just as tasty if not better let better the management staff is great and the host is very attentive I would highly recommend things you're going by yourself or with a couple to sit at the bar and experience the bar the bar has what the bar has to offer.. Also they have great lunch specials and brunch on Sundays.. My only critique would be that they ramp up their to go and online ordering I tried to do that and have been unsuccessful in the past also you have to call in to order to go and they transfer you over to the bar which sometimes on busy days or if they are understaffed you could be waiting for a while and the manager will have to take your order no big deal though I'm a very patient person and understand this but I could see how it could deter customers away other than that everything else is top notch at this local seafood restaurant.

Food was really good. Got the fish of the day. Cauliflower & Brussel sprouts appetizer was good & the aioli is delish. Ask to be seated away from the front door. Service was really slow but it was also really busy. I will return.

My wife had the pearl poutine, I had fish and chips, then we split a piece of key lime pie. We were not looking for an upscale seafood place, but I'm so happy we found the Pearl Tavern! The wait was reasonable for a Friday night, the food was amazing and our server showed up just the right amount and at the right times. She was professional yet friendly, my wife and I both thought she was great. Go there, have the key lime pie, you won't be disappointed.

Great thing the service was amazing because the food left much to be desired, unfortunately. We just moved to the area and couldn’t wait to find what we were hoping would be our new seafood go-to. Everything we ordered was pretty much a let down. I debated between a 3 and 4 overall rating, because the food was a solid 2. It wasn’t terrible, but it wasn’t really that good. Calamari was decent, but we weren’t big fans of any of the 3 dipping sauces. The Caesar salad we started with was bland. Watery dressing and mostly iceberg lettuce. The lobster Mac and cheese was ok, but the cheese sauce left a strange aftertaste we couldn’t quite put our finger on. Finally, what we thought would be the star—Parmesan crusted sole—was hardly edible. It was almost burnt and I couldn’t taste any fish. Perhaps a thin cut like this isn’t best with the batter. The sauce served with it was tasty, so it’s too bad the fish didn’t work. Mashed potatoes were pretty good, but the broccoli had zero seasoning. The atmosphere here is awesome, we loved the vibes, especially the bar area. Our server, (Austin I think..), was amazing. Extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and a hustler. He seemed to genuinely enjoy his job. Oh and my margarita was strong—totally worth the $5! (On special) Good news is that they have a huge menu, so we will undoubtedly be back to try other things, and hopefully change update our review with another star!

Great atmosphere, very nice and well laid out. Lots of room and seating, quiet conversation is easy to accomplish here. The bartender was phenomenal and very helpful. We had drinks and a piece of peanut butter pie with ice cream. We will definitely be back to try the dinner menu. We had a great experience at the Pearl.

My spouse brought me here fro my birthday, he knows I love oysters and the have a nice menu of different choice. We dont have a reservation so we wait about 15min being that we visit on a Friday night. Once seat I observe fresh flower on the table and the place seems very comfortable. Appetizer: I order the char grilled oysters and half dozen fresh. They are a nice size and taste fresh, the char oysters taste amazing with just a bit of cheese on them. Cocktail: Dirty Martini taste amazing with some nice size olives Main course: Miso Chilean Seabass served with black rice the fih taste great cooked to perfection with amazing flavor. We also have the Parmesan Sole with mashed potatoes and this also taste great tho I don't think I like Sole Fish it is a bit soft for me. All in all what a great dinning experience we will for sure go back again.

I wish we had looked at the menu before we went. Didn’t realize it was primarily a seafood restaurant. The non-fish options are very limited. Coming from FL we are not confident of the freshness due to the proximity of an ocean. What we had was good, again just not a lot of options. Service was exceptional. The view from our table was the off ramp from the interstate. The appetizer was good, not a lot of cauliflower. It’s pricey, almost $100 for lunch with only soft drinks. The kids Mac n cheese was $9. Plenty of parking. I didn’t see any real vegetarian options.

This was my first time at Pearl Tavern and I honestly regret waiting so long to try it. Spacious restaurant with a laid back atmosphere and the food was amazing. Tried several things off the menu during brunch including waffles, fried shrimp, blackened shrimp tacos, blue crab dip, wings etc and it was all amazing. Will definitely be going back!

Shrimp appetizer was awesome. Fish and chips plate was just okay to me. The one piece of fish was huge, but very hard to eat in the basket it's served in. Overall just okay to me. But they do serve Pepsi so they have Mt Dew!

If you're looking for a great seafood place locally owned then this one is the perfect choice. Every time we've been it's been great. The service is great and the kitchen is quick even when busy. I love the Cioppino. Not too spicy or soupy. It's been a go to for me. The fish and chips are also great!

I live in another state and when I tried to buy a $100 gift card for a Xmas gift, the manager refused to accept my credit card over the phone, even though the gift card would not be picked up by my Lee Summit relative until 2 weeks from now. We better hope the big box stores, retail stores, etc. don't start refusing credit card purchases over the phone. I guess this place doesn't need the business.

Um they kicked us out after 3 hrs due to a new "policy" for how long you can stay to drink and eat at a restaurant. All after my family has spent thousands of dollars at this restaurant. Really?!?!? This is so sad, and ridiculous. I never thought I'd post a bad review of this restaurant, but its happening tonight. I'd go to McDonald's if I were you.
