This is very good food the veal Parm fabulous the salad great amazing dressing their house dressing NEEDS TO BE BOTTLED FOR SALE just a thought and I also had the the seafood fettuccine that sauce so creamy and just wonderful the service also so good

Fantastic environment. Eclectic menu for all tastes. Lunch time buffet. They have really created their own unique space. Each booth features different art. The bread has perfect moisture. The house dressing is awesome!

Absolutely loved this beautiful Italian Ristorante tucked away on 40 Highway in Independence. Not only is the food absolutely delicious, their selection was wonderful. I had the Fettuccine Alfredo di Mare (seafood) and it was some of the best Fettuccine Alfredo I have had since I lived in Italy. I also ordered the Sangria and it was delectable. The service was excellent and all in all a wonderful experience, Grazie Mille !! 🙂✨💖

I've only been here once before a long time ago. Glad we stopped by. Host was friendly, the Server was friendly. I ordered and received my Caesar salad. I don't really care for croutons. I put a few of mine onto my friends plate. I then ate one and WOW! Best croutons I've ever had. Very buttery and definitely made fresh here. Salad was a little light on dressing for what I prefer but good stuff! Meal arrived and our Server gave me a generous pile of cheese on top of my meal. I grabbed a piece of bread slapped on some spaghetti... oh my! The red sauce is INCREDIBLE! I tried a bight of one of my meatballs and I think it's probably the best I've ever eaten. The manicotti was good. I thought the portion seemed small but after eating my meal, I was too full to eat my Italian rum cake and the Server made it to go. I'd definitely recommend this place. Spaghetti and meatballs or the pasta trio.

My husband and I were traveling back home from Columbia MO Vet Hospital with our two Siberian huskies (Storm black and white consultation for cancer tumor in mouth) (Willow red ). We called about an hour out from the restaurant to confirm outdoor seating with our huskies was okay. Atmosphere was calm and relaxing. Service was Spot On. Food was delicious and large lunch portions. Staff was great! Water buckets for dogs.

We have visited V's and it has been consistently impressive and satisfying. Food is fantastic and staff is friendly and professional. Everything from the appetizers to drinks to entrees is on point. Whenever my family and I visit from Texas we make it a point to swing by V's for a great meal.

Server was fast and polite. Food was tasty and the peach martini was strong. Nice place with good music.

The pasta trio was excellent and the pizza was really good. I liked the Italian dressing on the house salad. Loved the cannoli. The only negative was the butter with the bread instead of dipping oil Was surprised the rum cake came with the meal My wife and I will be back

I've heard great/amazing things about this restaurant, but they all fell short. We ordered an appetizer, 2 entrees, and a pizza. Our food came out after about 30-45 minutes, no appetizer in sight. Then, we discovered our pizza was incorrect and had to send it back. At this point it was already 30 minutes after close. They forgot the appetizer completely, then brought it out telling us they wouldn't charge us for it. They didn't do anything to discount the fact that the pizza was wrong and took another 30 minutes to come out. I was forced to eat alone because the rest of my table was already done. Stacy was nice though; the only redeeming thing. Overall, a really poor and disappointing experience. 😞

OMG! We went for Sunday brunch and endless Mimosas; they did not disappoint. Excellent buffet, NICE choices and the food was seasoned perfectly. Shawn our servicer was phenomenal! The atmosphere was calm and soothing, low lighting, it was the best I've had in a brunch buffet EVER. Adding to my weekend calendar when I want to get out. Thank you V's.

This restaurant is an experience! Travel back in time to pure beautiful Italy. Our waitresses were both beautiful and gracious as well as checking on us but not too much. Everyone had a wonderful demeanor and we even got to meet Mrs V's daughter who carries on her parents great legacy of amazing Italian food. The return customers are just as friendly and not a single complaint to be heard anywhere. In fact all we got was suggestions on how great all the food was starting with the meatballs. They were amazing as promised!! The texture was soft like velvet yet light like sponge cake with a gentle red sauce that left you wanting more. I was unsure of what wine to pair with dinner our waitress was so kind she let us sample a few before we decide on one for one of the best dinners I have ever had. My grandmother ordered the fettuccine frutti di mare, which had shrimp and soft not overcooked pieces of lobster. Again, the proof is in the sauce it was the most creamy yet thin sauce allowing you to sample the taste of the ocean and Italy right at your table. I ordered the veel parmigiana and was blown away. When misses V designed this dish her heart was all in it, from the extra crunch and no grease to the melted cheese and home made sauce that tickled my mouth with new and old seasonings of real Italian food you can only get here. The complimentary rum cake was soft and moist while being the perfect balance of warm and sweet the perfect ending to a great day!! We will be back!!!

We went here for the first time during Restaurant Week. Great choice. For $40 per person you get an app soup or salad choice of three entrees and dessert. The food was excellent. I got the cheese ravioli he got the beef ones. The lobster bisque was excellent. I got the Alfredo baked chicken and he got the Steak medallion. Both were cooked to perfection and tasted delicious!! For dessert he had rum cake and I got the Panna Cota. Tasty!! The portions were generous and the price was reasonable.

Nothing but goodthings to say. The food was excellent. The house salad with homemade Italian dressing, which was delicious. Don't recall the name of the dish, it was a seafood linguini. Creamy, rich, perfectly cooked pasta. The shrimp was properly cooked and cleaned. The rum cake was good sponge. The tiramisu was sinful. More, please!

We love Italian eateries and had never sampled V's. What a great story, great atmosphere, and great meal. Comfortable seating, soft lighting, and plenty of Sinatra to create a wonderful experience. We regret not entering this local gem before now and can not wait until our next visit. Free coffee cake with entrees. Delicious!

Birthday lunch for my husband. Great pizza, crust is not your traditional yeast dough their's is like a very thin flakes biscuit crust. Tasty. Veal parm was very tender breaded cutlet, I had angle hair pasta with it. Noodles were perfect. Sugar sauce was very flavorful. We will be back to try some of the other items our waiter told us about.

V's is a staple of KCMO. They have been a locally family owned location for over 40 yrs and proud to be a part of it as our families business has been with them in this journey (ace lock & key) in the local area. An amazing Sunday brunch with bottomless mimosas. The best manicotti in town for sure. They also have a downstairs that is ready for large parties of all kinds. So needless to say if your in town or haven't been in a while come in and have great meal and feel like family.

Sunday Brunch is AMAZING, service was superb, food could not have been better. 10/10 all around.

I happened to be in Independence and saw that I was close to V's. I have always enjoyed the experience every time I go, but I live almost an hour away, so I don't get to go often. I chose the Chicken Parmigiana, which came with a small house salad. The service was very good and she was attentive. The food was very good and the portions were appropriate for the price.

V's has always been a wonderful dinner date experience. There staff is always very attentive and happy to make sure your visit is nothing less than top shelf. And I can think of no other place in town that I would even consider when wanting Italian food. The food is the main reason V's has been in business for so long! You just can't go wrong. 5⭐'s and a huge 👍

It kinda sucked that the cake didn't come with the lunch menu. The prices seemed more like dinner and it was past 3pm. The server was great, atmosphere, and food but I was disappointed about that part.

Amazing experience however Google is rating this place as $20 a person, for just my wife and I we spent $100 (with tip). However, our server was amazing the whole night and we spent over an hour there. We had a 4 course meal, they give you time to finish each course and the salad and cake comes free with every dinner. It was a truly thoughtful and calming dining experience. The Fruitti De Mare everyone is talking about in these reviews is absolutely worth it. We will be returning the next time we have a date night!

Always wonderful! We have been eating at V's for over 45 years and we are always pleased with their great food and wonderful service! We ate there Saturday night before a concert and had Stevie as our server. She was very attentive and very knowledgeable. We got the Fettuccine Fruttti Di Mare and it is fantastic. It's one of our favorites! Again, always wonderful!

Family owned since 1963! Spotlessly clean. Warm, cozy, charming. Great food and the service is top notch. Lunch buffet weekdays is great! Restaurants like this are rare and hard to find these days. Dress up a bit and bring your manners. Not a chain. Independently owned. They take great pride in their business. Love it! ❤️

BEST DATE PLACE in KC! Good made with old school real love! Old school sexy Frank Sinatra music and atmosphere in KC! How didn’t I know about this place.!? Best prime rib EVER, and I am from Texas. This turned out to be a perfect choice for taking my Gigi out for her Birthday dinner. We came early on purpose to sit at the bar and have drinks for awhile and the ladies behind the bar were wonderful. Our cozy romantic booth and the atmosphere overall were perfect.. great music, but at just the right volume. Our waitress topped it all off with the perfect level of service.. only there when you expect her, and never there when you don't .

Somewhat disappointed. Very nice inside very cozy. Went for the brunch. Ran out of brunch items less than 2 hours after opening. Wait staff was very friendly. Bacon was either under done or way overdone. Biscuits were very small and hard. Salmon was excellent. Can't wait to go back when they are serving the regular menu.
