I went here to pick up a chocolate bag for a friend. The chocolate bag is literally one of my favorite desserts ever. A bag made out of chocolate filled with cream and whipped cream and blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, strawberries. One of the best things ever created IMHO. While I was waiting, I had an order of the fish tacos that were on their happy hour menu. Apparently these are available on Tuesday for just $2 a piece. What a great deal. These are literally some of the best fish tacos I've ever eaten. I guess you would expect this from a fish place but I didn't, They come with guacamole and a corn salsa. I could only eat one of them because they are so large. What a great deal! One of the best things about this particular location is that they have a bomb patio that is a big and a great location on the plaza. They are usually busy but not terribly busy so that you can't get a table. I would recommend arriving by 5:00 if you're going for happy hour. There's also plenty of room inside at their bar. But definitely if it's nice outside, check out the patio. I've attached copies of their happy hour menu for you to check out as well. Please like my review if you found this helpful!

Another amazing seafood and steak restaurant in town. I’ve tried this place a few times and each time I had an amazing experience. Great selections of drinks, appetizers and desserts. They have a special 3 meal dinner on Sundays and Mondays. The happy hours are great because they have great selections of signature cocktails. The chocolate bag desert is famous in town. The desert is a white chocolate mouse and fresh berries.

My how the mighty have fallen, this used to be such a fantastic restaurant. We waited 70 minutes for our food to come out, our waitor was M.I.A., the manager was unconcerned with the chipped glass in the wine. My harshest review is to just post a picture of the saddest $47 lobster you ever saw. It was served cold with the matching spinach. Is it unfair to categorize it as bait quality? $253 for three people that will be dinning elsewhere in the future. Do not recommend.

Food was good, service not so much. The crab cakes and fried oyster appetizers were great and the steak was phenomenal! The dessert was just okay, nothing spectacular. Would come back.

Happy hour, birthday, romantic dinner! Whatever the occasion McCormick is the spot. The ambience is wonderful. The food is killer, and let's not talk about the drinks! Will was my bar tender, not only was his customer service amazing. My tequila sunrise was to *to die for*, truly the best I've EVER had. You can see the passion for his craft! 10/10 highly recommend.

Gorgeous breezy day to eat outside!! Stopped by for some appetizers & cocktails. Julian was very attentive & was able to provide everything I asked for with no problem!! He was pleasant and personable! There was hardly anyone outside so it was quiet and relaxing. The asparagus and potatoes were scrumptious!! Filled up on the bread but made room for the decadent cream brûlée!! Mmmm….had a fruity libation that was refreshing and finished off the lunch !! Restrooms were clean and so were the outdoor seating accommodations. Def will be back!!

Their food is very expensive but for good reason: the portions are enormous, healthy, filling, and perfect. Their chocolate bag desert is well known in the area. Highly recommend the appetizer: bacon wrapped shrimp with truffles. The shrimp was very plump and meaty. The atmosphere is romantic and high-end. There are some private areas that can be sectioned off with curtains. The outside seating has a fire pit. The service is excellent. The waitress learned it was our first time and was very patient and helpful with the menu. Later, the manager came over to have a friendly chat and welcome us - we felt noticed!

When traveling to KC this is always a fav! I was a little sad that our crab cakes were forgotten but our drinks were really good so that makes up for it. The blackened mahi mahi was great, I wish it was a little more seasoned but the fish itself melted in my mouth.

Had oysters for appetizer they were so fresh and delicious. And to top it off they bought my dessert because it was my birthday.

The chocolate bag is our family’s favorite dessert in the city, so we tend to come here for special occasions. They are a surf & turf restaurant. I was surprised and sad to see they didn’t serve scallops as that is what I wanted for my birthday, but we ordered on recommendation their stuffed shrimp appetizer. It was delicious and genuinely not too heavy. Everything they serve is wonderful, and I haven’t had a bad specialty cocktail. Whenever they do have it, their swordfish is fantastic. I have exclusively eaten there at dinnertime and only on special occasions.

It was my first time here and not only did the food live up to the hype, our server was a gem. My husband got the king crab legs and he absolutely loved them. I got the sea bass in a yummy broth with artichokes, spinach, and potatoes. I would definitely get it again. The broth was so flavorful! Rilea was so awesome and I would go back and see her again!

The meal and ambiance was. Dessert had to have been my favorite hands down. Chocolate bag was so great that we ordered one for the table and one to go. Ate it the next day and was as perfect as it was the night before! Will go again and was an amazing experience for my Husband and I!

Not trying to be a “Debbie Downer” just telling you facts. I brought my husband here 15 years ago for his birthday. It’s expensive so we consider it to be a special occasion type of place. I don’t remember being too impressed with it which is why it’s been so long since we’ve been back. My son‘s birthday was yesterday and he wanted crab legs. I know it’s hard to find good seafood in the Midwest so we went with the most expensive place thinking it might have the best. When I made the online reservation, it asked if we were celebrating an occasion to which I entered yes, for birthday. When we got to the restaurant we were seated quickly but at a table right next to the kitchen, which I don’t consider to be a special occasion type of table. All night we watched seemingly every single waitstaff walk in and out. I guess it’s better than sitting next to the bathroom. Our waitress didn’t even tell us her name. She was nice but it wasn’t that kind of service I would expect from a place like this. The crab legs were good and my son enjoyed them, but I was surprised at how little he received for the amount they charge. (And I do realize buying seafood in the Midwest is expensive) My husband got lobster which was a bit chewy but luckily I didn’t have to eat it and I got the blue cobia which was pretty good but kind of cold. Maybe this place just isn’t for the “average income family” wanting a great dinner experience for a special occasion, rather for people that have tons of money to throw around and waste on OK food with a “high class” reputation. I work hard for my money and I try to spend it wisely, so we won’t be coming back.

My NY strip steak was cooked perfectly and my wife loved the lobster and crab stuffed salmon. Our server was pleasant and professional. Beautiful decor and great location.

All around excellence. I ordered the swordfish and it was so affordable for what it was!!!! Only $36 for swordfish with jumbo lump crab, spinach, mushrooms and red peppers. My cocktails were good as well. They happily accommodated all our requests for our large party. Our server was very attentive and on the ball at all times. You can't beat that beautiful atmosphere either. Phenomenal views and the best location on the beautiful KC plaza.

Enjoyed the options on their "Restaurant Week" menu to celebrate my friend's birthday, and both of ours first time dining here. Our waiter, Rey, was very friendly and professional, and the GM whom stopped by was very welcoming as well. I know for us that we can't hardly wait to visit again.

The food was delicious. The service was timely, smooth and efficient. A great place to start or end your visit to the plaza. My fish and chips were as good as any I’ve every had and far better than most. But my wife’s stuffed salmon was amazing.

If you're in search of a restaurant that serves both fantastic steak and mouthwatering lobster, look no further than this hidden gem. Their steaks are cooked to perfection, with a tender and juicy texture that will leave you craving more. The lobster dishes are equally impressive, showcasing the freshness and delicate flavor of the seafood. The quality of the ingredients shines through in every bite, making for a truly memorable dining experience. The attentive service and inviting atmosphere only add to the overall charm of the restaurant. Whether you're a steak lover or a seafood enthusiast, this establishment is sure to satisfy your cravings for both steak and lobster in the most delectable way possible.

The ambience to this place is lovely. The tall glass dome was very beautiful. The service here is top notch and the waiters are very kind. They have a good selection of non-alcoholic drinks which are very good. We got the Apple of My Eye which tasted like Fall if it could be a drink! Overall, the whole meal was delicious.

This restaurant is 4 stars if it wasn't for the "chocolate bag" desert. That alone gets it another star. Save room or just go for the desert. You won't regret it. Seafood is good and priced accordingly. If you plan on getting a bottle of wine and apps its about a $300 dollar dinner for 3 people. Give or take with tip.

Went for my birthday on Tuesday I made a reservation online, ask for a pacific table. Was told it was not available and the restaurant was not that busy. they set us under the dome. It was hot felt like 88°. I got a chocolate bag for my birthday dessert and it was melting. before I could eat it. It was very uncomfortable. The staff knew we were not happy with our table and did nothing about it . drinks from the bar took over 20 minutes or food took over 40 and again the restaurant was not that busy. was very disappointed fora $300 dinner and a birthday celebration. How come no one listens to anyone anymore? What’s the use of making a reservation if you still don’t get what you want but no one seems to care?.

Lisa was an absolute gem. From menu suggestions to her overall demeanor, our dining experience was wonderful. The food is very well prepared and so delicious!! Pleasant atmosphere and not terribly busy for a Saturday night. Thank you, Lisa, for ensuring our “just because” dinner received the highest quality service. We will definitely be back for happy out and those fish tacos you mentioned.

We had a gift card so we decided to go for the first time for my birthday dinner. I was a little nervous after reading a few recent reviews, but wanted to try something new. We enjoyed ourselves and I’m glad we tried it, but without the gift card I would have disappointed that we spent so much for the quality of our entrees. Even with the gift card it was a little pricey. The apps and dessert were our favorite parts, so I think it might be better for lunch or happy hour. Here is my review of each item- Service and atmosphere- 10/10. Our waiter was great and it was really cool to look out the windows and see the plaza at night. The ceiling was also beautiful. Raspberry mule- 8/10 the flavor was really good but tasted a little watery and there didn’t seem to be much alcohol Lavender haze- 5/10 honestly it was ordered because of the Taylor Swift song but it had a very weird aftertaste. I don’t think the lavender flavor and alcohol mixed well. Drinkable but didn’t order a second. Shrimp kisses- 10/10 amazing. Perfect amount of chili kick, sweetness, and saltiness. Hot and delicious. Would go back just for those. Lobster bisque- 10/10 so good. Creamy, flavorful, and hot. Filet and mashed potatoes- 7/10. The seasoning on the steak was fine and it was cooked to the correct temperature (medium), but both the steak and potatoes felt a little bland and honestly underwhelming Halibut with roasted potatoes and asparagus- 7/10 the food was good but not very flavorful and the portion was a bit small Chocolate bag- 10/10 it was a fun, interactive dessert that felt like a whole experience unique to this restaurant. Not only was it fun to break the bag, it was delicious to eat!

Food was this time ok. The Scallops a la linguine flavor was bland like missing a lot of seasoning. My friends commented the mashed potatoes seem to be flour potatoes, nothing special. Appetizers were better than the main course, Calamari and Mussels. Also, the chocolate mousse was nice great presentation and taste delicious. Service was good even though it was pretty busy. Thanks for people that work there.

The server is really friendly. We all love oysters that are fresh and sweet. The way of cooking salmon is really tasty and Mahi-Maui is delicious also. Really enjoy our first visit here. It’s the perfect night !

We went to your Kansas City at the plaza location on Friday and it was very disappointing. We took our 3 teenagers and 2 of their friends, one is a foreign exchange student and we wanted her to choose the place to eat. Obviously your establishment was chosen. My husband, youngest daughter and I had been there previously and really was impressed with the service and the food. This time was like a whole different place. Of the two appetizers we ordered, the calamari was inconsistent. Part was alright the other was overcooked and chewy. The lump crab was okay, the kids ate it. The steaks were cooked how they were ordered but definitely wasn't a high end quality cook. The lobster tail I ordered was very rubbery and bland. The asparagus was the only thing I really enjoyed. I had a side of scallops as well and they were overcooked and rubbery. The kids liked their Sea Bass and Mahi Mahi but all of them would not eat your mashed potatoes. Are they box? They tasted like a box or bag and we only use real potatoes in our house. To top it all off our server spilled the juices off the ribeye one of the girls ordered all over my arm, new shirt(thankfully black) and my legs....thankfully I had my napkin there and only part of my pants got it. I did not pull a Karen while we were there because we were trying to give the kids especially our foreign exchange student, a good positive and fun experience. The only good thing about the visit was the privacy of our booth. Being we spent 500 there it really should have been a much better experience. To add to it....high end establishments should be cleaner. There was shrimp tails on the floor by our booth.

We went to celebrate a special occasion and were treated so beautifully. Lisa was our waitress and she anticipated our every need. She was truly so kind and we absolutely loved our experience! I’ve been eating here for many years and it’s always a favorite! Thank you Lisa for making tonight so memorable for us 🤍
