We have been going to several different Master Wok restuarants in the KC Metro area and they all are great! The food is always high quality and a big portion. The price is on the higher side compared to other Chinese restuarants, but it is worth it. This is not a all you can eat Chinese buffet, so each entree is made fresh. The staff is always friendly and professional. The Independence location as a real cool aquarium, that is kept very clean.

Been looking for good Chinese in the area and decided to try this this place for the first time. Was feeding 4 people so I spent about $50. Portioo were large, are the food was delicious and better than expected and needles to say there are PLENTY of leftovers for lunch tomorrow!

We loved the hot and sour soup and jalapeño chicken at the Master Wok in Olathe, KS and ate there regularly. I was told by the owner there was one in Independence and one in Lee’s Summit because the Olathe location closed. We traveled and ate at the one at Independence and took friends and it was probably the worst food I’ve eaten. First of all they didn’t have jalapeño chicken, and the waitress looked at us like she never heard of it. That was our first clue this restaurant isn’t owned by the same people in Olathe. We all ordered spicy items and none of them were spicy. My Kung Pao Chicken was full of raw carrots, hardly any chicken and no spice. Same with the Szechuan beef. Hot and sour soup not spicy either. We were so embarrassed as we talked it up to our friends how good it was. Our friends didn’t even finish their meal. So if you loved the Master Wok in Olathe this isn’t the same.

The wait staff were great. The restaurant was clean. The crab rangoon's were ok, but not great. The combination lo mein was good.

Excellent service, food, and prices. Always fresh and cooked right. We prefer here over Bo Lings. We have eaten the lettuce wraps, generals chicken, beef and vegetables, crab rangoon, spring rolls, and the egg drop soup. Very clean restrooms which to me is a good indication of that the kitchen is probably very clean also.

The tropical fried rice was awesome! Also tried the almond shrimp, this wasn't as impressive. The almond shrimp was 95% water chestnuts & carrots (I asked for no celery on mine). There seemed to be very little shrimp. Their Hot & Sour soup was delish and the crunchy chips tasted extremely fresh compared to other places that typically taste old.

Love Master Work. The food is always delicious here. Service is great as well. Try the tropical fried rice 👍 (the twin rolls are a win too)

Friendly staff and good food. We went for lunch and they have a very reasonably priced lunch menu. It comes with an Entree, fried or steamed rice, crab rangoon or egg roll, and egg drop soup. You will leave full for sure! My daughter also enjoyed the big fish tanks with all the colorful fish.

My family and I love coming here! The food always comes out hot and fresh and the service is quick. There’s never a wait and it’s nice and quiet. The wait staff is friendly and the restaurant is always pretty clean. Great location, too!
