    The pancakes and the biscuits and gravy were very good, and the food was reasonably priced. Servers work very hard and never disappoint.

    My husband and I love this establishment! Their pancakes are delicious and so is there stuffed pepper soup! I think I could eat that every day. Too bad it was a special! I’ll just have to figure out the nights they serve it and make sure I’m there then! My husband really liked the meatloaf too - so much so that he wanted to find a similar recipe. Also, the servers are always very kind and easy to talk to! Thank you! Update: It’s 2 years later and we still love LJ Cafe. Also, their breakfast is phenomenal. Pancakes, cinnamon rolls, French toast, etc. lunch and dinner is great too.

    We enjoy local small town cafes. This one was good. The food was hot and fresh, and plenty of it. I had the Chicken fried chicken which was delicious, my only complaint was that it and the potatoes were flooded in gravy, I had to push a lot of it off. The fish and chips were great, hot, crisp and juicy. The staff was friendly and service was prompt.

    The pork tender sandwich was delicious. The people working there were the best at customer service and so friendly. We will definitely be back again soon!!!

    This is a home style, comfort food restaurant. Nothing fancy, but good. Some of the weekday specials are very good with generous portions!

    The Lone Jack Cafe...what can you say? Going there is like stepping into a Norman Rockwell painting. Farmers, construction workers, families and many people just passing through. It's truly a throwback to a bygone era. If you like 'country cookin' it can't be beat. Their cheeseburgers would suit anyone. Very pleasant and efficient staff. When I was building a house nearby that took over a year, I went to the Lone Jack Cafe two or three times weekly. I tried to talk them in to making avocado toast with egg...I think it fell on deaf ears at their menu committee meeting. ;-)

    I called 10 minutes before closing time and they went a head and put a Chicken Fried Chicken dinner for me to take out! I felt guilty calling at that time but had a long busy day and didn’t want to cook. Greatly appreciate their kindness and great food as always!!!

    Our waitress had a great sense of humor! The food portion was more than I could eat. Lol. I had to look at my check twice. I thought they forgot to add $20. Definitely added to one of my favorite places to eat.

    Try the Lone Jack omelet, western style no ham exchange it for bacon. It not a national franchise more of a country kitchen.

    Breakfast is top notch! The big tenderloin is my go to for lunch or dinner. Servers are always nice and friendly.

    Bacon & eggs were good. Waffles could have been cooked longer. Pancakes were still doughy in the middle. Don't waste your money on adding blueberries ... there weren't very many in it

    Food is always hot and fresh. It is nearly always so busy when I go that there is no seating available- Probably because the food is reliably good.

    We only had breakfast, but everything is food truck out of a bag. I got the sausage bacon skillet, which has American fries. The fries were so dry and obviously frozen, and there was hardly any meat it the dish. My husband got hash browns, and they were terrible, no flavor at all. They prebutter your toast with something that is not butter. This was our 3rd time there......every time was just ok at best.

    This establishment was very dirty for a restaurant. It didn't appear like the menu's had been wiped off in several days. The wall near our table was filthy dirty and the floor was not much better. Food was good and the prices were good. I will check it out again hopefully that cleanliness is up to a higher standard.

    Are first time there and like most small town restaurants great food prices were awesome for the quality and quantity the tenderloin sandwich was platter size for less 10. the wife got a breakfast sandwich so much to eat and also so reasonably priced well worth the stop would do it again for sure 👍👍

    Want great home cooking and friendly service - you found it! Small town comfort but bring a big appetite. The only unfortunate part is the inconsistent and limited hours. With our small town they should realize there’s is a bigger need than the limited hours they are open. ☹️

    Omg the food was amazing and such big portions. I had the special tonight meatloaf with a cup of the cabbage vegetable burger soup ong that was soooo good. Also came with mashed or baked potato and green bean's with big bacon pieces In it and a drink. I'm glad we checked it out... they should have there menu in the local hotels. I'm staying at the holiday inn in Oak Grove Missouri and the restraunt is about 12 miles out of town. But well worth the drive.

    Clean friendly and great food! Portions were more than fair. Went one night for dinner and it was just as good!! Can’t wait until we are back in town to go again.
