Love that they give you a cinnamon roll when you're seated! Food is great but the employees deserve a shout out. Went there today around 1pm. They were kinda busy and apparently short staffed. There was an issue with my order, the server apologized and told me my order was on the house. I refused. Because I knew she was basically doing the work of 2 people since someone else had called in earlier. I could tell she was frustrated and doing the best she could with such a full house. I'll take a meal on the house when the situation calls for it. This one didn't. With the way things are right now I feel it's so important to show grace and appreciate the people that are working and trying their best to do what they can. I wish I would've gotten her name but I didn't. Anyways, love going here not only for the food but the employees and atmosphere as well! #supportlocal 🙂

Neighborhood Cafe is one of those hidden gems. The moment you walk in you get that old time diner feeling. The wait staff was very welcoming and the service was top-notch. We ordered coffee and placed our order. In a couple of minutes our waitress brought our drinks and 2 hot, fresh cinnamon rolls. I looked at her and said "we didn't order those" and she said, "these are the complimentary". Cinnamon rolls were really, really good. They're not too big so they don't fill you up before you have your meal. We both ordered a two egg and bacon breakfast. We both order our eggs cooked differently and Neighborhood Cafe hit it spot on. The bacon was very good the hash browns were crispy on the outside tender moist in the inside and we both had white toast and it was cooked perfectly. This was honestly one of the best breakfast meals we've ever had. If I remember correctly I think we paid about $18 to $19 for the meal and the service was so good I did tip heavily. If you're ever in Lee's summit do yourself a favor and please visit Neighborhood Cafe

Great Cafe. Comfortable. Kid friendly. Hot day and they had the AC cranked. Huge menu at affordable prices. Highly recommended. Fantastic service.

The food was delicious! We've been to the waldo location, this was our first time at the LS. Highly recommend the park BBQ Benedict

They apparently are known for their cinnamon rolls that they give you as a free appetizer. This was our first trip there and realized that they have pictures of cinnamon rolls and stuff. So bonus for that. Food was good. Waitress was friendly. Quiet, and cozy. It's a breakfast and lunch place so they close early like 3.

We were looking for a new breakfast spot and I think we have found one. It's about a 30 minute drive but worth it. The food was good, the sausage gravy could have been a little warmer but all good. Mary was our server, she was great. Brought home the cinnamon rolls for later. We will be back.

Can’t say enough about this place! Lisa our waitress was so friendly and helpful…great job! The food was amazing! Love the free cinnamon rolls that they give before the meal! And love the atmosphere with the historic new papers on the wall!

Extremely disappointed!!! After seeing and hearing good things I expected much better. To start out with if you have kids don't bother going they don't have a kids menu. The cinnamon rolls they give you were crazy dry I couldn't eat more than two bites. The kids ordered waffles that were also crazy dry and made it difficult to cut them into pieces and eat. We will not be returning to this restaurant.

How did I keep missing this place? Came here for Sunday brunch. Everything about this place was incredibly amazing. The cinnamon rolls are sweet but not over the top. The rest of the food was perfectly cooked and good portions. Service was stellar. I think I found a new favorite brunch spot. Will definitely be back again!

This restaurant is truly amazing! My family and I make it a tradition to come here after church. The complimentary roll they offer is hands down the best one I've ever had. Despite being small, it exudes a warm and cozy atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. The staff is also very hospitable, adding to the overall pleasant experience.

Eggs Benedict was decent, but the French toast and the free cinnamon rolls were just okay. Service was terrific and everyone was very nice. Atmosphere was cool too.

Found this on Google. Checked reviews and they sounded good. Was greeted very friendly as soon as we walked in. Mikaela was our awesome waitress! Food came out fresh fantastic and fast!! It was scrumptious. I had the corned beef hash skillet!! This is not out of a can. Husband had Meat lovers omelet. It was loaded with 3 meats. Oh let me mention the cinnamon rolls. Free before you even get your meal. Delicious. My new favorite breakfast place!

Why didn't I know about this place sooner! I absolutely love their food. It is the good old homestyle breakfast I crave. The Number 4 is my favorite, as it gives me a little of everything. And how awesome is it that they greet you with fresh cinnamon rolls for everyone at the table when you are seated. Try it... you'll love it!

I don't normally go out for breakfast because I don't feel like peopling yet. This breakfast was so good that I quickly didn't mind anyone. I had the chorizo skillet. I loved it. The green salsa that is on this dish is delicious.

This place opened before I was born and has been a go-to my entire life. I can't imagine Lee's Summit without it. Will forever adore their cinnamon rolls. If you want that small town feel, you gotta check this place out.

Very unassuming, but this place is a local treasure. Serving breakfast and lunch for very reasonable prices. And get this- cinnamon rolls are brought out as soon as you're seated! My friends had veggie omelets and I had a burger with fries. Quick service but never felt rushed. Our waitress was super attentive but not "hovering". We originally came out to try a nearby BBQ joint, but they are closed on Mondays. I'm quite happy we found this little gem!

They had me when they delivered a fresh warm cinnamon bun to my table before I ordered. I didn't know I needed that in my life until that moment. Hometown vibes with yummy food for great prices and service was awesome! Then hook line and sinker, I took home more cinnamon rolls! They are the best!

The first time I took my husband to the Cafe, he wanted to know why a neighboring table got cinnamon rolls before they got their menu. That's how it works there! Wonderful warm cinnamon rolls first. I love it!! The food is really good. Then there are all kinds of pies to choose from. The atmosphere is very homey and the waitresses are very nice and the food comes quickly. Try it, you will not be disappointed!!

I have tried eating here about 3 times and after today I’m done. First the waitress was very nice no problem with that but I have never had a hot cup of coffee, always just warm, don’t order bacon crisp because it comes burnt like it did today. When I told our waitress I couldn’t chew it she offered to get me a new serving. It came back just as burnt so I left about 6 slices to be thrown out. We ordered $10.99 plate consisting of small portion of biscuits and gravy, two eggs hash browns and bacon or sausage. I asked if I could get the biscuits and my husband could get toast instead so we could share. She said toast came with it too. Then we were charge separate for the toast. Which we hardly ate. When we got our bill it was over$35 with a tip. It did mention I had to send my bacon back twice, it was burnt then got the second serving just as burnt. Cashier said oh I’m sorry about that. Why should you be charged for something not fit to eat?? Evidently it didn’t matter .

Staff was friendly but only saw them when they took our order and when the bill was dropped off. Food looked good but my hash browns tasted (and smelled) like the oil was rancid. I couldn't eat it. The cinnamon rolls at the start of the meal were pretty good. I'm not sure if I'll go again but if I do, I'll update my review.

Normally this place is amazing and worth any wait you might have. However, don't go on Wednesday mornings because whoever is in the kitchen those mornings is terrible. Ordered a breakfast burrito which is normally good sized and comes with gravy but what I got was a taquito missing ingredients and no gravy. Don't want to fault the whole store for a bad cook though.

Service was great! Food was really good. Reminded me of the diners I used to go to with my great grandparents so it was very nostalgic. My son enjoyed his food and he is very picky so we will definitely be back.

*3/18/22 Today had Amanda as our server and she ALSO is top notch. She stayed on top of keeping our drinks filled and making sure we has all that we needed* Our server Emily was TOP NOTCH !!!! Awesome bubbly personality. Food was plentiful and extremely flavorful. HUGE servings and very reasonable pricing. One of those well hidden local eaterys. Lots of food for what you pay , if you walk away hungry its your own fault. AND.. I have never been to a diner that serves HOT CINNAMON ROLLS for a appetizer. I will DEFINITELY be going back again and requesting Emily as my server.
