The selection at Fareway Meat Market is exceptional. They also have a variety of groceries, so it really is a one-stop-shop. You do have to be a little aggressive to get service at the meat counter. They are usually really busy and if you don’t speak up, you might be waiting for awhile. I’m 5 foot nothing and I wait patiently until an employee asks for the next customer, I throw my arm up and yell out my order. This is key to not being overlooked. Even though they are busy, the staff is incredibly helpful. The jalapeño poppers are so good, but honestly, I’ve never had anything bad from Fareway Meat Market.

The meat at this market is superb, it's legit excellent quality folks. It's worth every penny. The workers respond immediately and offer help. When I was walking around I can see how clean the surfaces are and the isles floors are also appear swept and mopped. Also they have a small cook shack outside the store that cook brisket and burgers, fries, onion strings etc, plus some good sauces. The meat used in the cook shack is the same meat they sell so it's great quality in the food. If you are tired of eating nasty stringy steaks/meats from major retailer stores that just don't cut it anymore, an want some real good beef, a cow that lived a good life? The store has tons of meats/ cheeses/ fish you name it! Plus alcohol! Very good prices with a lot of verity to choose from! Also You order inside and Take the receipt out to the food truck style trailer I recommend the burnt end sandwich with sweet sauce (blues hog) and the mcgoo fries!! Top 5 bbq stops in kc for sure.

Yesterday while I was shopping at the store I observed the men clerk drop a fillet mignon on the floor, wipe it off and still gave it to the customer. I will never shop here again. I loved this market but after seeing that I'm done.

Awesome market with great food and friendly people. The smoked bologne is super good. They also serve hot BBQ sandwiches for a crazy good price. If I were local I'd visit every day!

I'm happy someone took what was such an awesome KC institution and kept it rolling. Great selection. A little on the pricey side, but you get what you pay for. They have good sales also.

Stopped in a few days ago to order BBQ. One cashier was busy so I stepped to the other cashier's lane. She was too busy with her phone to speak, advise her lane was closed or anything so I went back to the other cashier's lane and ordered. With such poor service, I'm not returning!

Pre ordered Christmas Turkey (with order number). On the day of collection. Sorry we sold it. Didn't even say sorry. Staff said those are the breaks.

This is a great meat market. They have the highest quality meats and have a solid variety of products to choose from. The service is very helpful, knowledgeable and efficient. I will definitely be back.

When McGonigles changed to Fareway, much of what I loved was not the same at first. It's time to return!! They have done a fantastic job adapting to their customer base and it's as good as ever! I have been shopping here for years and today I was herded through every isle by barriers for the first time. I shop here because it’s small and usually efficient. Not this time, there was no way to skip to the isle I needed and around the other customers. I will not plan to return solely because you’re now parading customers down every isle of your store.

Tastiest sandwiches with lots of meat. They know how to do meat. Meat case is fabulous and a very busy place everyone buys not just looking.

Great selection of meats and seafood. Fair pricing and friendly staff. Has the small town market feel. Lots of barbecue seasonings and rubs as well as wood and charcoal.
