๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘ Food is amazing!!! Kind service! Nice quiet place to eat! If you dine in, don't be in a hurry as it takes a little while. BUT worth the wait!! They will help you find less spicy and more spicy entrees, just ask!! Pictured is my favorite, Lamb Tibs. People often mention Ethiopian, restaurant, time, wait, good, vegan, delicious, great, platter,

Really good Ethiopian food for a reasonable price. The vegan platter was enough for two meals and was only $12.99! The depth of flavor of each dish was incredible. Some of the best Ethiopian food I have ever had. Only downside, which I saw mentioned in another review, is the injera isn't super sour. My preference is for really sour injera, but their's was still delicious and so perfectly spongey. Will be back whenever I'm in town!

If youโ€™re questioning if you should visit this restaurant; stop, just get in your car and drive here. We are from out of town and waited 40 minutes for the restaurant to open because we wanted to try it before we left town and it was worth every second of waiting. My partner and I each ordered the vegan combo platter and shared an order of sambusas. The food is the most incredible food Iโ€™ve ever eaten in my entire life. I donโ€™t know if Iโ€™ve ever eaten so much. The ambiance and owner made me feel like I was in someones home eating at meal at their table. It was clean, cute, and inviting. I canโ€™t wait until we are in Lincoln again so we can visit this restaurant.

How can food this delicious be this economical??!? SO GOOD! 4 of us got the vegan plate and the meats plate to share, so good. The enjara is mild and yummy. Also, the hot tea was very nicely spiced. Totally coming back here! Does take just a little time to cook, but we didn't mind the wait at all.

A nice little hole in the wall restaurant. Ordered the tea and the #4 chicken, as well as a lentil appetizer. The wait time on the food was a little long, but it was really tasty. The bread that came with it wasn't my favorite. It's spongey, and has a really interesting, sour-salty taste. Other than that, the chicken and its sauce was spicey and savory and the tea was very good. Would go back again.

We came in expecting a bit of a wait and generally have a lot of patience - but did not expect to wait an entire hour and a half between giving our order and seeing a server or employee at the table again. The dining room was not busy - there were two other tables ahead of us and one who left within about ten minutes of our arrival. Based on the number of to go orders we saw leaving it appears theyโ€™re making that a priority over their in person patrons. They also brought food to a table that came in an hour after us about twenty minutes before finally bringing ours. No glasses of water were offered to us, just bottles of water to purchase. When the food finally arrived it wasnโ€™t hot, but the flavors were delicious and it was a lot of food. They were apologetic about the wait. When we were halfway through our meal they finally brought our appetizer, which was so odd. They said it was free as a condolence. The food was delicious but Iโ€™m not sure the experience would warrant another visit. I really wanted to love this place. My recommendation is to carry out because it seems that comes with more urgency than food in person does.

Great, authentic, family-owned restaurant. As an Ethiopian in NE, Iโ€™ve always had to drive to Omaha to get quality Ethiopian food so itโ€™s really nice to have one right here in Lincoln. They have both vegan and meat options and both platters are delicious and more than enough food for two people. Wish Iโ€™d thought to take photos of the food but I only got the one of the place. The setup and art is traditional and interesting. Canโ€™t recommend it enough!

Food was excellent. Service was great. The tea is delicious and so was the coffee. You can book a private coffee ceremony. We were a big group (13) and they accommodated us without any problem. This a family owned restaurant with amazing food. Worth the detour.

My first time eating Ethiopian food. We came as a group of five in the evening, and it was perfect. We basically had the room to ourselves. The lady working their was very kind and just a great experience overall. If you want Ethiopian food, then this is the place to go.

The food was amazing ๐Ÿ‘, great place to experience great Ethiopian food. If you like spicy they got it, if your vegetarian they got something for you and they are very accommodating.

We loved this place! My sister and I stopped in for dinner on our road trip and each had the vegan platter. We were very hungry and ate a ton but still had some leftovers. The host was so welcoming, and the decor was really cool. Wish I could come back and give this place more business!

New Food Friday! What an excellent place to explore. We asked the staff, "What would you recommend?" She recommended for the size of our party 1 vegan & 1 meat platter. With a party of 4, we [words cannot express] our enjoyment of the cuisine. The menu is very, very much gluten-free, friendly. The atmosphere was inviting and warm. Will definitely come back for more, label us impressed.

I got the vegan platter, which was fantastic. It has been a long time since I've been so excited about a restaurant! The service was also good, and the atmosphere was just right.

We were greeted warmly by our hostess as by the amazing aroma of spices and authentic Ethiopian cuisine. There's storytelling in the art and craft works all around the restaurant. This high rating encompasses an experience of deliciously delightful dining.

Food was good but could've had more flavor. Wait staff was friendly but food took a long time to come out. Interior decor of the restaurant was nice too.

Fantastic food with a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. The staff is friendly; the food is flavorful and exotic - but not spicy if you're afraid of that. I ordered the meat lovers platter to try a bit of everything and it did not disappoint. The chicken (doro wot) and the beef tibs were excellent.

It was my first time having Ethiopian food and i will definitely be coming back. The food was great and it was a good quality for the price. To the people here complaining about the food taking a long time, just go to McDonaldโ€™s up the street next time where you belong. When we were there, it was just one person taking orders and cooking and she had hustle.

Great place to eat in Lincoln. We ordered the Tiru special which had a great variety of Ethiopian foods, all of which were delicious and perfect for two people. Make sure you start with hot tea and the lentil soup. The bill for two of us was $33, making this a great bargain. Give this place a try.
