Very sad to see how many dolphins are in captivity in the ocean. Understand people love to go and swim with them but this is not the way. I’m no PETA member or anything but man this just puts a damper on the entire day:( poor dolphins

One of the WORST things I had seen in my life. We stopped as a part of our boat trip ( don't do it as well, it was close to horrible) but not went in. The dolphins are trapped in numbers in super small spaces, even from afar they look so sad, it was heartbreaking. It's absolutely inhuman to do this to animals and to visit this attraction, please DON'T. If you want to see dolphins, please respect them and go see them wild and free, they're not toys for your pleasure. In this park they're just prisoners, it should be illegal.

As noted in many of the other reviews for this business, it was disheartening to see the dolphins locked in such a small and sad area as part of this "tourist attraction." Our group drove past the jail-like enclosure while on a boat tour, and everyone was left feeling uncomfortable and disturbed. The dolphins did not appear to have enough room within the cages to live a happy and fulfilling life. Many of the dolphins that we could see from our boat appeared to be sluggish and unhappy. Please do not support this business.

Please don’t support this cruel. The sharks are so scared of the people swimming in this TINY tank/pool. The dolphins are also in a very TINY pool. They do their job great but this isn‘t fair for them. They are bored and the water isn‘t really deep at all. If you love animals- don’t buy a ticket. In the name of all these innocent animals please don‘t visit it!!

A wonderful experience. The cost of a premium package costs $ 250, and that's only when you get there. Tickets purchased at the beach or agencies guarantee your access to the location, the interaction with the dolphins, the photos are paid extra.

We stopped here as part of a boat tour and it is one of the saddest, most heartbreaking places I have ever seen. The dolphins are kept in TINY cells . . . err "pens" and all looked miserable. This place should be closed immediately so that they can't ruin the lives of any more animals.

Let me start off by saying the dolphin experience was amazing and the Dolphins were very well trained. Our guide Cesar was also very nice and a great guy. Part of my low reviews comes with the customer service regarding the photos. We already paid $310 for two people for this experience and then they wanted to try and gouge us for another 75.00 for a photo. We were not told when we booked the trip how much the photos were and it appears they intentionally don’t. As I said the experience was amazing but the customer service with the short lady inside the photo booth was ridiculous. She was rude and did not care to hear anything we had to say. It’s like we were just conveyor belt to funnel money. The only reason I gave this experience the three stars I did was because of the dolphin experience and the good customer service by Cesar. There are other dolphin experiences here and I would highly recommend you to check into some of the others. I’m not sure of their prices but it’s worth checking into. Update: I forgot to add- the brochure shows people holding and petting stingrays and nurse sharks. That is false. You are not allowed to touch them. They are in a small tank with the nurse sharks hiding in a corner because they don’t want to be bothered.

Monsters! Set them free! Imagine someone hold you in a prison with a view to your home, would you be enjoying that all life long? And someone ride your back as a surfboard. Shame on you and on those people who still believe these kind of "entertainments"are healthy!

We came here a couple of weeks ago and loved spending time with these beautiful dolphins, you also get the chance to snorkel with stingrays and sharks the trainers and photographer was very pleasant overall it was a great day, the only downside is it's very expensive for the photos

If I could leave 0 stars I would. These dolphins are not meant to be caged for human enjoyment. It is a sad, sick existence. Please do not visit these dolphins. Drove past on a boat trip and they were very clearly struggling from their lack of space, enrichment and social time.

This experience was amazing! It’s a very interactive experience with the dolphins 🐬… there’s different packages you can purchase. It is fairly expensive. They don’t allow you to take your own photos while with the dolphins only after the experience. The photos are very expensive to buy but well worth it. Overall it was worth the experience.

Absolutely not. Dolphins are kept in tiny cages, where they look miserable. We passed by during a boat trip and my sister and I felt sick to our stomachs. This is unacceptable treatment of any animals. DO NOT GO

We stopped by as part of a boat tour. Please do not support this type of business. The dolphins are literally in a dolphin prison. Literally small cells the size of my backyard. It was an incredibly depressing site to see. This made seaworld look like the gold standard of dolphin care and thats saying something on how terrible these conditions are.

I was on a spa excursion and saw what was going on. These dolphins live in 1 acre pens fit for a dog (in size) FULL TIME. A dolphin in the wild swims up to 100 miles per day. Very inhumane. Do not give into the rhetoric of ‘this is how they are making a living’. It’s straight up abuse and you are supporting it.

Dolphins are held in a very small tank. Probably the resort's pool is larger than their area. Felt sorry for them, so close to freedom and they are in a prison. They claim the money helps to support dolphin research but I would say do not contribute to a place like this.

A mass business with expensive prices! The show was pretty cool, but not personally. The same tricks are always performed on each guest one after the other. I am also concerned about the imprisonment of the dolphins. The photos are selling for 60 US Dollar per person. A familiy (2 Adults and 1 child) for 105 US Dollar.

Amazing experience, staff was incredibly smooth and attentive. Boat ride was nice out to the island, but wish the dolphin pools were larger for such large animals. Sting rays and sharks encounter was cool, but sharks were all in one corner and not moving, so did not see them too much. Also was annoying we had to spend $125 on photos and could not just choose a couple photos to buy. Other then that it was an amazing experience to meet dolphins!

It was pretty and the dolphins were very friendly. We would have loved more time to snorkel but the staff was helpful.

Amazing experience I had a phenomenal time! Trainers were fantastic. Site outstanding. Dolphins were amazing. After spending time with the dolphins we then snorkeled with sharks and sting rays. The sharks were pretty sedentary.

Good experience, the underwater walk is amazing!! The only thing I would change would be the video you can buy, other excursions offer pictures which are nicer to share and you get high quality pictures out of it, like photoshoot quality. Can't get that from a video no matter how high quality

When me and my wife was in Punta Cana we both swam with the dolphins. It was and amazing experience we had together. After we swam with the dolphins there is a few other shows you get to watch. they was amazing also.

This was quite possibly one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had as a tourist. It started when the salesman at our hotel sold us tickets for this excursion and assured us our son was old enough to participate in the dolphin action package. When we arrived, we were told he was not in fact tall enough, which was fine because he could still participate in the dolphin experience (touch dolphin, kiss dolphin) except they also would not refund any money. They essentially told us, too bad take it or leave it so we paid the same price for the higher package we were not getting. We ended up doing the excursion so as not to have devastated kids. Once finished, we went to review photos and were told the only option was purchase ALL photos for $110 usd or nothing. They would not budge on this at all and in fact admitted they can do individual tickets but management won’t allow it. They exploit you hold you hostage knowing you won’t want to let your kids down. The business practices are shady at best, and downright theft. DO NOT BOOK ANY EXCURSIONS with this group, you will regret it.

The experience with the dolphins was great. However one thing they do not tell you is that they charge you $60 per person for photos. We are a family of 5, with 3 small kids. The person that sold me the package at the hotel told me the photos were $40. Also that they had drinks and food for us. It was $5 for a bag of chips. Plus the manager at the Photo Booth was rude and would not even try to reason with you. She even called the sales person and still said that there was nothing she can do.

We passed ‘Dolphin Island Park’ as part of a snorkelling trip and I was appalled to see dolphins kept in such conditions for tourist entertainment. There is no defence. The small sea pens are inadequate with little social and environmental enrichment, these are highly intelligent animals who live in complex social groups from 30-1,000 and across large harbours and bays with trips out to sea, following prey. These dolphins should be passed on to a centre which is able to rehabilitate them into wild living with the potential to release them; or care properly for their captive needs in captivity.

We did the seaquarium your from our resort, a bit pricy but worth it. Met great people and had a blast. Ms.Gray took care of us and had our drink ready anytime she saw us get low😂 Fun music and the sea floor walk was crazy. 50$ USD for 4k underwater pictures as well as drinks, boats photos and pictures with stink rays, sharks and sea lion. Definitely recommend 👌.

Wish I could give this a 0 anyone who pays for this, condones this, works here, or advertises this needs locking up in such conditions. Appalling conditions to keep these beautiful animals in. So so sad passing by on a boat trip. Wish they would just jump out and swim free 😢 so sad please don’t support this. Its horrendous. Just hate whoever done this to them

A good experience to interact with dolphins but this was a bit chaotic, unless you speak Spanish and we were lucky one of the guides came over as we were a bit lost with the entrance arrangements. Clearly the trainers have an excellent relationship with the dolphin's and are lovely people but luckily for us one of our party translated or it would have been very tricky. This isn't a massive issue but remember for 4 of you this trip is at least 500 dollars although I haggled. The photos are offered at 160 dollars! We did buy these and they are good pictures but beware you get loads of photos although most are groups of the same picture. They keep you hanging around for ages afterwards which isn't great. Dolphins were great but the trip and customer care could of been better. Its 30 minutes of experience and hours of sitting on a truck and at the place so consider if you are willing to do that and pay the high cost to get close to the Dolphins.

Had a great time there. The dolphins are so beautiful and very well cared for. They looked very healthy.

The experience was fantastic, about an hour of interacting with Dolphins, it was really amazing, however, I bought the photos, and they had all the family, but mine were missing, I emailed them they try to find them but they couldn't. Sooo sad!

you realize you are supporting the caging of a wild animal. You all should be ashamed if you support these companies. Do not swim with dolphins, do not support them being trapped in enclosures.

The kid enjoyed swimming with dolphin. However the whole experience is not necessary a pleasant one. You are not allowed to take photos and I was aware of it. When I was about to buy photos for my child, which costs $60 for one person, the manager there, guy named Christiansan (probably didn’t get right) on June 9 1pm section was so rude. I was asking him if we will also get the group pics. His responded nope we will just feel on the system. He rolled eyes and the unwillingness to help is disgusting, and I sweated I asked him very politely. I would understand there is company policy and there are things he can’t do, but this guy needs training, versus the lady who helped us was very helpful. Not sure why people were taking it like they have power over customers, instead of being helpful. I was very disappointed how it ends. On a side note, when we purchase the package we were told the kids can do the action (the salesman checked) but when we got there one of the kids were too short for it so she wasted money)

Please do not support this business; these animals are kept in heartbreakingly small areas that are FAR too small for them. I felt sick the whole time I was near them. To the owners of this business: if you are reading this, please do the right thing. They need 10x the space. You must know this isn’t right!!

My wife and I booked the royal package while in Punta Cana for our wedding. The staff were great, they didn't push for tips, very dedicated to you having a good time! The dolphins seemed to be well taken care of as well! The photo packages were on par with other excursions, they're expensive but worth it!

I would NOT recommend this place!! I went with my Best Friend and we paid for pictures and they never sent them. They told us we couldn’t use our own cameras so we had to buy there’s but they never sent them. I emailed them my receipt and everything. The guy Jose that did our excursion did respond to me but still NOTHING. If you are looking for a great experience go to Can Cun!!!

*Update* Dolphin Island received my email and took the time to find and email the missing pictures to me. Based on that, I give them 5 stars! Customer service is great! And our girls loved their time with the dolphins and the swim with sharks and stingrays was a fun bonus!!! *Original review*The swim for our daughters was a fun experience, but I paid $115 to receive all photos of both girls, and when I got home to download them they had both girls kissing the dolphin, but only gave me pictures of my friends daughter doing the fin tow. They did not give me the pictures of my daughter doing the fin tow. Im extremely disappointed because I respect their business and their rules that I can’t take pictures of my own, but then when I agree to pay their price for the full package of photos, I should GET the whole package of photos, and I did not. I emailed them since they delete the photos after 30 days, hoping they would find the pictures and send them to me, and I got no response. I know they took them because I saw them when we were at their photo shop. Im so sad and disappointed.
