Grape Tree Cafe

Restaurant β€’ Seafood restaurant

πŸ‘πŸ‘ Our first night in Bodden Town and found this gem within walking distance of where we are staying. I must say it was the best Mahi I have ever had. Mahi, conch fritters and plantains served in a Styrofoam box. We sat at a picnic table by the water and enjoyed everything about Grape Tree Cafe. People often mention beach, good, fish, Mahi, fried, island, snapper, conch, fritters, local,

Boo, after seeing the reviews I really hoped for something special. After reviewing over 800 places, this falls toward the bottom. This place disappointed. The location is ideal, directly on the beach with a beautiful breeze and picnic tables with a fresh coat of paint. However, the food lacked all around which I detail below. The conch fritters, were tiny and very few given. The fries, came from the freezer - as the lady took the order and then walked to the freezer in front of us and then dropped them in the fryer. That's not an issue. The "fresh" fish was rubbery and clearly cooked long ago - sitting in a steel warmer for hours. Most of their food is precooked and then tossed in a warmer. Fresh will be determined by when the guy who cooks it drops it in the warmer. If this was 10 USD, fine, but it was $25. Sorry, I've been to a load of food shacks and this was not worth it... really unfortunate. Always feel free to reach out to me on Twitter @joerazz

Great place where the locals go. It has a great island rustic feel. It is not fancy. We had the fried snapper and mahi mahi! Both served with tasty bread and plaintains. Fantastic! We ate at the picnic tables on the beach. We will be back!

Amazing food! The grilled Mahi Mahi and fritters were the bestest! You sit right on the beach to enjoy the yumminess πŸ˜‹ A definite great local find!! We also met the BIG BAD CHEF! Jeffrey is so sweet and an amazing cook. We tried the jerk pork, Mahi Mahi, fried snapper, oxtail, cow foot, and conch soup...we would've tried everything if we had more time!!! We will definitely miss Grapetree πŸ’œ

Fabulous little place. It's right on the beach so the view is beautiful and the waves breaking on the reef is all the background music you need! HUGE portion of fried fish (we had red snapper and mahi) served with festival, plantain and pickled onion. So much food for 10 ci$ we didn't need to eat dinner and the cans of drink were only 1.25ci$ too. Please make the effort to try this place, it's outstanding! ❀️

This is not a tourist place. This is a local place. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles the tourist places do. Thank God. You walk up to the window, place your order and hang out on the patio till they call you for payment and pick up. Before I ever came here, I messaged them on Facebook with a couple questions. The same friendly response I got on Facebook was the same friendly service I got at the window. I ordered the fried snapper ad did my wife, (side note, they were huge and we got 2 dinners out if each). The fish was really good though I am accustomed to a little more seasoning. Don't let that make you hesitant. It was damn good. Everything else we got with it like fitters, conch bites ect. were also awesome. Once you get the food, you can take it home or do like we did and hang out at one of the many tables there on the beach. Depending on season, you might want to spray yourself with some mosquito repellent. Go here, it's great and I would happily come back many times over.

Chill spot to get some local food. Had the snapper, mahi mahi, lobster and wings. All of it was pretty good. Also had the guava and lemonade which was delicious. No complaints. Will be coming back again. A real island spot if I’ve ever been to one. Prices are very reasonable as well. Probably some of the better priced seafood on the island.

It was a bit busy when we got there (from west bay) We placed our order found a seat , 20mins or so our food was ready. We had Cayman style lobster, fried snapper and roasted snapper. All were good. Portions were ample and we had no left overs.

This is our favorite place to grab delicious local food! The seafood is so fresh! We had cayman style lobsters, fried red snapper, and conch fritters. The only thing that was disappointing was that they closed for the Christmas holiday and we had to leave after trying once instead of multiple times. The restaurant has free outdoor seatings and nice beach and ocean view! If we visit Caymans, this is our first place we’ll visit!

The mahi was delicious and the view unparalleled. It took a little while to get our food, but they were busy and it was absolutely worth the wait. Relax on the beach and enjoy the view while you build up your appetite.

Super chilled local place, in a stunning Caribbean beach! I Highly recommend to stop here for their fried snapper or mahi-mahi and fritters on the weekends! They have tables under palm trees where we relaxed and enjoyed our afternoon!

First stop on the island upon arrival. Slow service but a lot of locals go so must be good. Food was good but we ordered a large chicken tender (5 pieces) but were given a small (3 pieces) so we were disappointed and never went back. We didn't find out until we got to our hotel.

My lunch there: Stewed beef, beans and rice, veg and fried plantain. Yum yum. I highly recommend this small business right on the beach in Bodden Town.

Beautiful location on the beach surrounded by lots of free happy chickens. It was busy constantly so a good sign when we arrived. The food was instantly ready almost so i can only assume pre cooked fish unfortunately. It tasted good but the bread sticks were very heavy i couldn't eat them.Very clean relaxing atmosphere so alhamdulillah for everything. Food served in take away boxes with plastic cutlery.

A delight just off the main road whilst on the beach. The fish is well seasoned and a definite must for anyone who is a fish afficionado. But don't take my word for it, go try it yourself and be amazed.
