The Mount Munara site, which is located in Rumpin District, Bogor Regency, could be an alternative choice for those of you who like outdoor activities. Even though it is not very high, Mount Munara presents a beautiful view after reaching the peak. The large number of "illegal levies" along the tracking route should be of concern to the management or local community so that visitors can feel more comfortable

Good for learning about trekking, it is recommended not to bathe in the river below when you start trekking, it is fast

I've been there 3 times, brought friends from work, brought friends to play, brought my own children.. it's a bit quiet... Maybe because of lack of information... Don't forget to prepare 2 thousand for the above, because there are 2 stalls that ask for money with the excuse of being sacred money hehehe... Maybe that's what makes it lonely... For motorbike parking 5 thousand, car 10 thousand For people 10 thousand Don't forget to bring mosquito repellent, because there are lots of mosquitoes... But be careful if you meet a girl whose name is AMI, she's a bit retarded as local people say... Her method is to accompany us if we're not careful, she'll ask for a lot of money... Just give me 10 thousand if you find it, because you didn't meet it twice when you went up, but the third time you met it... Then the ladies were told, just give them 2k, don't tell them to follow, then they'll ask for 50k.. That's what the mothers there say... If you try to manage this place well, it will definitely be busy... Regards..

5 stars for the nature and trails route, and 1 star for the management. Great place to hike, medium difficulties suitable for any ages to 50ies, it takes 30-60mins to the top depending how quick/fit you are. Trees everywhere so it's still quite cool even you visit in hot mid day. Monkeys are plenty there too in one area but they're doing no harm. By car, it's a good idea to enter via Taman Wisata Bukit Munara, unless you dont mind driving in a narrow road as i did. Park in villager's house parking space and paid idr 20k for car + entry fee idr 10k each person. No entry tickets provided as the area is managed by the locals. There are local kids ready to guide you and even you said no politely they still walk you for like 40 meters and ask for a fee (I said i'll pay later when going back but i didnt see that kid afterwards). Approximately every 5 mins of walk you will either pass snack/drink stalls, mostly will greet you to buy sth, and 2 points midway where you still HAVE TO pay (any amount voluntarily for road maintenance, and idr 5k for entering sacred area). In short, a great place for a hike. And if you dont mind the hustle and bustle of the locals during hiking, then it's a perfect place.

What hinders the development of a tourist spot is usually done by local residents who often commit this and that extortion... Hhhhh
