Soto Kuning M. Yusuf

Restaurant Soto restaurant Soup shop

👍 Good soto kuning where u can pick if you want meats or mixed with organs. The perkedel is also good. You have to order in the cashier first and they will assign you a number before letting you to sit. The downside of this place is smoke everywhere and the hygiene is not that well maintained. People often mention soto, meat, price, good, time, broth, taste, full, Soto,

The tavern is always crowded. Although it is already past lunchtime, the tables are always full. Once people come out, there will be others who will come and fill it. Since the tables in the front area are full, we sit at the tables in the inside area. There are several options for the soto: meat (daging), tripe (babat), cow gravel (kikil), brain (otak), tongue (lidah), fried lung (paru goreng). For this time we ordered the (mixed) meat and tripe soto. The soto is quite different from the ordinary one. The broth is quite thick and has a unique taste 👍👍

Serves Yellow Soto typically from Bogor. Yellow soup with beef broth, coconut milk, beef offal. The broth was intense with tasty spices. You can pick your kind of offal (cow gravel, babat, tongue, etc).

It’s good! Price is 35k + 5k rice. It’s cheap considering they use beef. Soup was so savory and full of flavour. Ordered the mixed meat and none of it taste weird or any kind. Love their rice! Hahaha Place is narrow and small, not that clean, but it’s something you’d expect on food that’s busy and on the side of the road.

the food is ok but the place is the freakin worst. Trash are everywhere and the staff (the trash bin is full as well) as if they pretend like it doesnt even exists.

Despite the large dining area (indoor with fan and allowed to smoke everywhere - hate it!) I would say their broth was not good, too salty (probably too much MSG) and not fresh enough. The price is also, comparing others (Salam and Yusup), was pricey. For one piece of meat, tongue, or spleen will cost you 15k. The meat was not moist and too chewy so it kind of hard to enjoy it. Too bad. One thing that also concerns me is that they put sign everywhere saying all of their staff has been vaccinated, but lots of them not wearing mask. It feels like, ok I'm vaccinated so no need to wear 😷!

Food is good. Cheap as well. But don't expect any hygienic place during pandemic. Prokes is not their thing, yet. They serve foods without 😷. Too bad :(

Went here during weekday and and still the hardest part of all was to find for parking lot. I went before 1 PM and thankfully it's considered less crowded. Well, the broth was nice, it's super yellowish and full of spices. The meat was so moist and the lung part was crunchy (it seemed they fried it before). Overall it's okay. But if you're going here on weekend, the area would be super crowded and stressed you enough, well it didn't worth your time anyway.

First, you have to choose what types of meat do you want in your soto. The options are meat, sengkel, kikil, babat, and any other jerohan. There are seats available so yayyy.. 🙌 🙌.. the taste was okay...the price was affordable, 1 portion +/-30k

Never tried this before but interesting where you chose your own piece of meat then they will cut it for you before they poured the soto on it. Soto was tasty, not too salty, just right to eat with rice. The price is rp12k per piece and it was really good Will stop by if we went to Bogor in the near future - for sure!

One of Bogor special foods. Luckily just next to this place sold Toge Goreng & Cungkring, so you could order and ate them at the same time and place (like killing two birds with one stone). Honestly I'd prefer Soto Kuning and Cungkring than Toge Goreng, but all of them tasted delicious.

The restaurant is not really clean even though it has a lot of customers. The price is affordable and taste good. I hope they can priority hygiene too. Overall is good.

Just so-so.. I think this restaurant overrated among yellow soto seller around surya kencana street. In my opinion Pak Salam Soto is the best taste than this tenant, compare to similar mid range price. Don't you expect to much. I recommended you give a shot to Pak Salam Soto before you try this, and you can understand why...

Dine in, Saturday Oct 1st 2022....11.00 am - 12.00 am. Menu: a bowl of yellow soto, half portion rice (I suggest you order a portion full of rice, it is quite small portion), two perkedels (potate and egg battered, deep fried). The soto broth is tasty, the spice is right, but I think it contains msg and quite salty. The meats are quite generous (beef, cow trotter, tongue) but in my tongue, they are a little bit chewy (you still can eat it, but it needs several minutes more to be cooked), and the soup is just warm...maybe the tavern on Saturday afternoon was sooo busy that they do not have enough time to keep the soto broth hot. Total price: 52 k idr for the whole package (incld hot unsweetened tea). Cleanliness: Not so clean, crowded, cramped. I think I am going to taste other yellow soto tavern available at Suryakencana, such as P Yusuf (there are two Yusufs) or pak Mamad. Other Suryakenanca tips: Bir Kotjok cart is good, refreshing and unique, the price is 5k idr, also Nutmeg or Manggo Ice for only 5 k idr. I think I was little bit scammed when a street vendor sold Nutmeg ice for 8k idr...hah ha ha...you should ask for the price first...my bad. Lumpia Basah ( Spring rolls) price 15k idr, such a hearty and filling snack for your tummy. Find the quite clean stall near the M Yusuf Soto...it is good and worth the price.

First and 2nd time came was okay although I'm not impressed with cleanliness of the place. Unlike many other soto kuning resto which you can choose and customize meat part you eat, this place served in package. Third time here was meh experience. I ordered soto for take away. The soup was way too salty, it looks like they overcook or they serve yesterday soup, I don't know 😪😱. But it's salty and not fresh. That is the last time I came visit, and I won't come anymore. Oh and it's pricey since it's located in the tourist destination.
