At best, this is a 2.5star hotel. Not 4stars as claimed. The photos from websites are either badly embellished or are from 20yrs ago. I booked the Executive deluxe room for USD55 a night thinking it would get me a better night sleep. It was not worth. The room was exceptionally dirty. Hair everywhere. Deep stains on the carpet. Mold on all the walls and glass. Soap scum like it was never washed cleaned before. The toilet seat was yellow. Stains on the bedsheets. The carpeting was very dirty and had a musky smell. The gym was sad and 2 of 2 machines did not work. The pool looked miserable and small, only for small children. The breakfast was 3/10, very local and not worth it. Maybe it was nice 10 years ago.The staff are really nice and very accommodating. The location is great, nearby the Botanic Garden. A 24hr KFC is next door. Other than that, nothing nice to say.

I really dont know why this hotel has 4⭐.. everything is old and dusty from the roof to the floor, crack tiles, carpet stain, dirty toilet seat, and the room smell.. breakfast was just ok, the cutlery scattered everywhere you need to ask if you need one. The only thing good was the hotel staff but I dont feel like giving more than 1⭐ for the whole experience. I really do not recommend staying in this hotel. This hotel needs serious renovation. For the price $72 so not worth it!

Since this is claimed as a 4-star hotel, the evaluation is stricter. Good points: 1. Location is great, near the Botani Square Mall. 2. Service is great from the staff. 3. Wifi internet is surprisingly good & fast. Negative points: The hotel itself is old, therefore nothing much can say about the internal deco but not to compromise on hygiene just because it's old. The room has 2 parts; corridor (tiles) & bedroom (carpet). 1. The corridor is fine but the carpet has stains & musty. 2. The bed is at least clean enough to sleep but some parts of the room has ants crawling (for my case it's near the coffee/drinks/kettle & study/working area sections). 3. The safe in my room doesn't work. 4. There is only 1 hanger in the whole wardrobe. Seriously? 5. This is a big NO for me: the toilet seat is actually yellow with permanent stains on it. I'm guessing it's very old but ideally the hotel should just change it. The back of the toilet seat is just beyond words in a bad way. 6. The shower drain is a bit clogged since the shower area can easily flood after a quick shower. 7. The shower towel has smell & stains on it. The hotel should just completely change the towel set instead of washing them. 8. The hotel is in the city, therefore the noise from the road cannot be avoided. 9. The breakfast is on the average side. The salad bar is a little sad though. All in all, I would not recommend this for a 4-star stay. The hotel should put in some budget to upgrade or refurbish the room, at least on the carpet, toilet seat & towels. Thank you.

For the price, cleanliness and spotlessness should be much better. Maybe it being an old building doesn't help. The staff are really courteous though.

The only good thing about this hotel is its strategic location near the Kebun Raya Bogor, Botani Square mall and culinary center. Aside from that, I would say this hotel should be 2 star instead of 4. When I came, no receptionist in front and I had to wait long time till check in. The room looks old, and not clean enough. During breakfast, there were lack of staffs and they didn’t immediately clean the table for the next customer, so I had to wait and called out for them. Also, 1 of the elevator was creaking a lot I’m afraid it doesn’t get maintained well enough.

If location is all that matters then this hotel is the one for you. This review discusses location only and the rating reflects that. It is the closest hotel to the main entrance of the botanical gardens and the best mall in Bogor. A perfect combination. As you approach, it is as though the hotel is on an island, surrounded by frantic traffic in arguably the busiest intersection in the city. In this respect the location is also iconic and it makes for some great photo opportunities. To exit the city, again this hotel is perfectly located (traffic goes clockwise around the Gardens but you’d typically exit via the hotel’s road to access the toll/free ways). Edit: I subsequently had a walk inside the public area of the hotel. It’s pretty old. It claims to be four star. Guess the definition is somewhat flexible. Reiterating: the 5/5 is purely for location. I’d certainly not stay here as there are better nearby.

This place is in no way 4 stars. 2 is being generous. Wall is very thin, I can hear someone from next room having intimate time until 1 am. Hotel is very old, and poorly maintained. Very dirty, bedding feels damp. Bathroom smells weird. Avoid at all cost, there are many better options in bogor.

5D4N we stay at Amaroossa for another business trip. Amaroossa located in front of Kebun Raya Bogor and across of Botani Square Mall and also near Baranangsiang bus terminal.. so this is a strategic location.. Hotel enviro i think the score is 3/5 due to a lot of thing need to be renovated. Other minor point is parking lot is too small but hotel give a free valet service for costumer, so we don't worry about the parking space during stay at hotel. The pool is located at 2nd floor, which is different floor with restaurant.. this is good.

The place is strategic near botanical garden and botanical mall. Sadly the parking lot is limit sometimes they park in outside the hotel. The food is pretty good. The room is great

The hotel smells so bad, the carpet and the towels smells musty. One time we had breakfast and one of the foods had mold in it. I stayed the night there and left the next morning.

No/Low maintenance, hotel rooms, amenities are dated, tired, badly needing even the basics of maintenance. Better spend the budget before other customers put more bad reviews.

I have booked Executive Double for two nights at Amaroossa. The place was very strategic (near the bus station, a mall and Bogor botanical garden, so it is very recommend if you want to go to many place in the center of Bogor. The room is very comfortable and classic style. For the food is average but tasty. But the thing that i’m happy to stay in Amaroossa is the service quality ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️! Staffs are nice, very very friendly and even the securities too!!

Very friendly and helpful staff. At first we encountered a problem in our room but the staff immediately came up with a solution (new room). Rooms were very clean and authentic and the breakfast was really good and tasteful, there was a wide choice of food and drinks. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

The only good thing about this hotel is the warm hospitality of their staffs. Aside of that, meh... The room where I stayed in only has a window, so the lighting was poor. Personally, the room made me feel gloom. I booked an Executive Double room and I would say it was too spacious. The wallpaper looks old and the furnitures are poorly-maintained 🙏 They are not classic, but rusty. As a four-stars-hotel, it is so lousy. I can't believe I paid almost 1mio for that kind of room. And about the breakfast, well, it was okay, but you will find more choice of dishes in other hotel with the same price. They do not even provide plastic gloves for the visitors to take the food --it is still pandemic after all! Other thing: on the 6th floor, the lift button to go downstairs is not working :< What a disappointment. Sorry for the harsh comment, but I am just speaking the truth. Amaroossa Hotel, as far as I know, is popular for its luxurious-style. If they want to maintain that reputation, the management must fix all those problems.

I stay here for 4 nights and it was amazing! The service they give are perfect! The workers helping us a lot, I only got one problem as my partner did not speak Indonesia and some of the workers were not vert good at speaking English but they're trying to help him as best as they can. My partner and I will definitely stay here again if we visit Bogor.

Location was the only redeeming point. Never checked out of a hotel so fast. Hotel was very old and not well kept. Once we got to the level of our room, we could smell cigarette smoke and the place felt dusty. The room was very dirty, the bedsheets were badly stained. Carpet was very dark and dusty. Door knobs, cabinet knobs and shower heads was badly oxidised (green) and the shower heads were VERY disgusting. We could not imagine sleeping on the bed and using the bathroom so we checked out the same day we checked in. Another plus point was that the staff was very helpful.
