Manggarai is an important transit station for various commuter lines (KRL) for directions to Jakarta Kota, Jatinegara, Bogor, Depok, Bekasi, and Cikarang, and the Railink Airport for Soekarno-Hatta airport. Outside the station, other modes of transportation are also available, such as TransJakarta buses, Mikrolet, online motorcycle taxis, etc. This station, which is often overcrowded with passengers using train services, keeps improving itself with the existence of an underpass for the convenience and safety of all, and the modernization of various station facilities. Various other existing facilities include convenience stores, food outlets, such as Dunkin Donuts, KFC, Roti 'O, Starbucks, prayer hall (Musholla), Toilets, ATMs, etc. Things that need to be addressed at this station include: (1) cleanliness of platforms, toilets and prayer rooms; (2) traffic order outside the station, especially public transportation which often stops and standing carelessly.

The largest and busiest train station in Jakarta, maybe bigger than Gambir station or Jakarta Kota station. There're 13 platform which divided into two area, old station area (ground platform) and new station area (fly-over platform) and special platform for Airport Train. On the weekdays, especially in office hours (06.00 AM - 09.00 AM and 05.00 PM - 08.00 PM) always happened "the great chaos" hahahaha, sometimes it's horror momment for me. In some part, there's still revitalisation to make it bigger again.

Super busy and chaotic. The station itself is well-designed with many security staffs providing directions and there are a lot of clear signages also. But since this is a major hub connecting several busiest train lines, no wonder it's always crowded. Be here early if you never been here since it will take some times before you can reach your platform because of the slow moving crowd.

Written on Dec 21, 2023. Transfer hub for two Commuterline Jabodetabek services: blue and red. This station is also servicing the Soekarno-Hatta airport train (KA Bandara). It has three floors: underground, ground, and upper Platforms are in the upper and underground levels. The ground level is the station's main hall. The signage is quite clear and helpful. The facilities were in good condition. At the very least, the escalators and elevators were working when I was there. Be very careful of your belongings, especially during the peak rush hours when many passengers crowd the station.

I first experienced visiting this station when I was on transit from other station and went to Bekasi a long time ago. Now it is completely different with much cleaner and better access with escalator. Still this is the biggest transit station, so there's so many people commuting here. The view from the station is really beautiful tough, you can see the skyscraper building from the far.

Manggarai is the busiest commuter station in Jabodetabek, this station is a place where people change trains or transit and this station also serves airport trains. Facilities are still lacking in a station of this size such as a prayer room and toilets. Also I don't see a cafe or place to eat here.

The new building is nice, I prefer having prayers here instead at the older facility. You can catch the train heading to Soetta airport on the 2nd floor. They're still renovating the older platforms, might be a bit inconvenient to cross from one platform to another.

One of the worst public transportation that I experienced with. You need to wait the train for more than half an hourbto move for while waiting in the train that is fully packed with passenger. The security staff also did mocking the rushing passanger. Such a bad image to Indonesia.

This old train station is still keep on renovating. But for me, this train station is very confusing. Too many lines, and sometimes I took the wrong train and that for visiting another area still in Jakarta. And what I don't like is the fact that we have to go through smelly underpass. But in this train station, you will find complete facilities including eatery such as KFC, Starbucks and mini market as well.

Definitely much better than the old building which was a little risky and dangerous because of the way it was built. I would say a thing to improve is the elevator and escalator maintenance, otherwise it's a great station.

The central station of Jabodetabek Commuterline. It's unbelievable how crowded the station is during rush hours and is quite crowded on weekends. The station serves as an interchange between the Cikarang line and the Bogor line. The airport train to CGK/SHIA also starts here. I wish the walk to change lines is a better experience. Although I have to admit that the view is spectacular during sunset on the Bogor line platforms. With rather sad views on the Cikarang line ones.

The biggest transit station in Jakarta. Back in 2018, this station is extremely inconvenient due to lack of platforms and renovation. Now in 2023, I can say this is the best station in Jakarta. This train station kinda remind me of a station in Japan. It has lower and upper platforms now and it's so much easier to navigate. The vibe here is like a mini airport. And not only for Jakarta commuter line, you can also take a special train to airport from here. Incredible change, good job Jakarta.

Seedy place. CCTV is off. Security gathers more and gossips. Officers are irresponsible and have no integrity. There are many thieves in the prayer room. Embarrassing and disgusting. Be careful there.

Manggarai will be a bigger station than Gambir as people said. And the location is very strategic near Tebet, Matraman, Menteng etc. But 1).The slum housing at the cross of station is uncomfortable as view and make the street narrow also their parking is disturbing traffic because the citizen there use public street infront of station and sometimes also close the street for children playground or dangdut marriage party, so if government will make the station bigger we hope that they also do something to make the circumstances more clean and orderly. 2). The pedestrian/ paving blocks around station are so many broken completed by the center of parking busways, online ojol drivers, bajaj, bemo, online car make traffic jam everymorning here. The new garden of Manggarai station plaza is only give green open space and passenger halte and not provide for their space, bemo bajaj ojek ojol busway it self still using the street.

A big transit station in Jakarta, almost always as busy as it gets. It serves mostly the commuter lines. This station also connects to the airport trains of Soekarno Hatta International Airport.

A very decent place to support public transportation especially at the capital city. Spare your time to enjoy the ambience..the facilities, the culinary spots. Need more officers to stand by and give the information needed by the passengers, considering how big this place is.. might confusing for some people.

It's a nice Station. But be careful of robbery here. Please don't leave anything behind you. It's gone like in seconds, the moment you look away. Okay not literally, but it can happen really easily, so please be careful. Other than that it is really nice. Clean, bright and it's not hard to transfer there.

πŸ‘ I'd say it's 100 times better than the old station. Overall the new one is much more strategic, has better facilities and access to more public transportation. Also unlike the old one now you can change your line without getting out of the entrance gate first.
