It’s been a pleasant trip with Ridwan private tour ! We spent 5D4N in Bogor visiting around the city, Ridwan has been a very professional tour guide always with big smile on his face and very patient with elderly as we have 3 elderly in the trip. Ridwan speaks English and with sense of humour. Would strongly recommend Ridwan for those that planning for a trip to Bogor!

The tour was beautiful and I couldn't wish for a better guide than Ridwan. He is really nice, takes a lot of pictures to send you afterwards and he also took care of me when I wasn't feeling well on the way there because of a mild food poisoning. He made sure we were safe and had enough to eat and drink, so we could experience the beautiful jungle and crater the best way possible!

With my wife we did the Sentul tour with Ridwan, it was a good nature day trip just outside Jakarta. I highly recommend him, as he was very reactive and transparent on whatsapp. During the hike, he showed that he had good knowledge of the environment and explains it well. Excellent tour in all aspects. Ridwan is the a very knowledgeable guide with great English, and a very nice and personable guy. The tour was also done with 2 rangers so everyone could walk at their own pace. The experience on the top of the Volcano was incredible with ample time to explore and swim. I would and have recommended this to everyone as a must-do experience. The driver was very friendly and even offered to take us to our next destination the following day

Fantastic way to spend a day! We traveled for the day from Jakarta which was simple with a direct train. Ridwan was there to collect us at the station and then we were on our way. The extra stops on the way to the hike were interesting and the hike itself was a lot of fun! The crater is breathtaking and being able to swim in one of the pools is an experience we've never had anywhere else. Beautiful experience, exceptional moments that will still remain in our memories, two days of accompanying Ridwan, first day was a paragliding activity before visiting taman safari, next day we had tried rafting for the first time and went to see the botanical garden of Bogor. Pak is a brilliant guide. We spent a day hiking up Mt Salak through a rain forest jungle and then to the volcanic crater. Ridwan provided a delicious packed lunch and he caters for different dietary requirements. We also passed a beautiful waterfall on the way down for a swim in the cool water. We went on the 7 Day Mysterious Java Explorer tour with Ridwan & Sultan (our driver). It was absolutely wonderful! Ridwan is so experienced, kind, and easy going. He has a good idea of what we would like and was also willing to go off the path with us if we wanted. We saw so many incredible things on this tour! The crater hike was just awesome. Going through the cities and towns of Java; from the capital, to batik villages, ancient temples, sustainable communities and local artisans, it was all really interesting. Along the way we saw such beauty like lush rice paddy river valleys, volcanoes at sunrise, being above the clouds, and amazing scenery. Java is gorgeous! Ridwan is awesome. Go see it.

I booked the Bogor volcano trip with Ridwan after seeing reviews online. I was a little sceptical as I was traveling alone and was on work trip to Jakarta thus not prepared for a trek. But Ridwan has been very cooperative, very prompt with coordination and answering all my queries patiently. I was staying in Jakarta but his tour includes pick up from Bogor station. Understanding my plight as a first timer in Indonesia, he arranged pick up and drop to my Jakarta hotel as well. The tour includes jungle trekking to the crater and includes a waterfall as well with packed lunch at the crater. I thoroughly enjoyed my tour and will recommend Ridwan tour to everyone.

I went on a tour with Ridwan and I definitely recommend it. I had a most extraordinary day visiting the countryside, doing the trek through the jungle to Salak mountain, having a meal with the locals and exloring a volcano crater. And the waterfall! So pretty in the middle of nature. On the way to Salak and back to Bogor, you drive through endless rice fields and little villages, a whole experience in itself. Ridwan is the best part of this tour. He's friendly, funny and will answer all your questions. He knows a lot about the people and the land. He makes sure you're enjoying yourself at all times. My partner and I were arrived in Jakarta and booked a trek with Ridwan to Mt. Salak. Ridwan went out of his way to accommodate us—offered a pickup from our hotel in Jakarta (2hours from the start point) and after meeting us, walked through the local customs, traditions etc. before the trek. During the trek, he made sure everything was taken care of. Language was not at all a barrier and we enjoyed every description Ridwan shared with us. He clicked a lot of beautiful pictures of us, offered raincoats fruits when he didn’t have to, and the meal he carried for us—which we ate at the top spot of the volcano—was delicious. I would highly recommend the Salak trek if you are in Jakarta, or one of the other experiences Ridwan has to offer. Look forward to meeting you again Ridwan, terima kasih for everything!

I had such a great time with Ridwan on his Volcano hike and jungle trekking tour. I can definitely recommend it! He and his driver picked us up early at the hostel and the feeling was good right from the start. The drive to the volcano takes around 2 hours but we stopped along the way where Ridwan explained/ showed things about the local Indonesian life. The hike takes you through a lush, green rainforest. Be aware: it is a rainforest so lots of muddy puddles so your shoes get soaked and dirty, but that is part of the jungle experience. The crater of the volcano is amazing and makes you feel you are on another planet. It is possible to swim in one of the hot springs there, which is a special experience in itself. On the way back we passed the waterfall for some pictures and the option to swim there as well. The most amazing thing is during the whole trip we didn't see any other tourists. These are absolutely beautiful places to visit but without any of the overcrowdedness of most touristy places. Thank you again, Ridwan!

If you make it to Bogor and you like a vigorous outdoor adventure, this is likely the best single day trip you can make. Having been to Indonesia eight times and with several trips to Bogor, this was by far my most enjoyable experience yet on the island of Java. After a nice visit to the rice paddies and rice mill, we set off with a ranger into the Mount Halimun Salak National Park. This is basically a jungle mountain wilderness with no roads and a few primitive trails. While not a difficult hike, it is mostly uphill through humid jungle over muddy, rocky trails with many stream crossings on logs and rocks. A bamboo hiking stick was provided and very much needed. At the top is a spectacular moonscape with many bubbling, steaming, hissing and gurgling pools, mud pots and fumeroles. Masks are provided to help with the sulfuric mist while you hike around the various features in the crater. We had lunch (provided) along with some fresh fruit we picked up at a roadside fruit stand on the way to the mountains. A dip in the warm spring nearby felt wonderful (see photo). Then we hiked back down a different route to a spectacular gorge and took a cool dip in the plunge pool. This was heavenly and it felt great to rinse off a few layers of sweat and mud. Ridwan is an excellent guide and ensured I had a good time and I appreciated his knowledge of the area and its jungle environment. He took many photos with my camera and his own and provided a nice video (no charge) documenting the trip. Our driver was also a cool guy and I enjoyed having coffee and snacks with him while on the road and after the hike. Once again, if you like the outdoors, you will find this to be a spectacular and very satisfying day, thanks to the great tour put together by Ridwan.

A STUNNING DAY OUT. Ridwan is professional and we felt very safe and well informed. He carried a first aid kit, employed a second guide for safety and gave us a great day out. He was patient and not once did we feel hurried. The volcano is beautiful and it was great to get away from the city. Hot bubbling lava and a memorable swim in the river. Lunch was provided and there was plenty of it and it was delicious. We ordered vegetarian and it was great.

Ridwan took my friend and I out for an excellent day exploring rice paddies, volcanoes, the rainforest and a trip to a waterfall. He was an excellent guide and showed us the full life cycle of growing rice, allowing us to interact with the locals. For the trek into the rainforest, we were given a local guide and he showed us around the volcano once we got there. The trip was very enjoyable and well organised. The tour with Ridwan and his parkranger to the Queen Volcano crater is totally worth every penny. The hike is not for the faint of heart and my hubby really had to push me to keep on going, but when you finally get there it is totally worth it! Ridwan is very patient and goes as fast or slow as you want. He is very knowledgeable about the area and many other areas and definitely knows how to give excellent service. Best of all he is a great photographer. As my husband does not care for picture taking, it was nice to have him. He took beautiful pictures of us. He knows all about the instagrammable pics and even advices on poses 😆😆 The volcano crater area and the waterfalls are so beautiful 😍 Best of all, it is not a touristy area. I did visit Bogor few weeks back, it was disappointed with the place...before i had decided to go on trekking for Mt. salak...surprisingly it was nicest thing to do in bogor...and also we were fortunate enough for getting the company of Mr. Ridwan...he was super sweet...he gave us our pace and time to climb up to the top...speaks fluent english..carries food and water for us all the way up to the top...and he also took some stunning pictures for us...he made the journey all the more so memorable...thanks Ridwan for an amazing trip :)

Must do trip with a great guide! We did a one day trip to Salak National Park. We hiked through the jungle to the crater where we got to spend time exploring. There is an option to swim in a hot spring there. We stopped at a really cool waterfall on the way back but didn't swim as the rain made it too powerful. Still great to see. It poured rain for most of our trek so bring a rain poncho. Even with all the rain we had such a fantastic time and highly recommend doing a tour with Ridwan. He taught us so much about the area and about Indonesia in general. Thank you Ridwan!

It is a nice trip to the nation park. We went through the jungle and saw the volcano. The steam and bubbling mud are amazing, of course the sulphate smell around it.
