The way they serve food  captures a glimpse of Sundanese food on a plate. If you have guests from overseas, they will enjoy nasi, empal and tempe bacem. Just remember that a toothpick is in the middle of the meat of the empal to keep the meat together. As other reviewers suggest, come in the morning.

It was great! I didnt know there were restaurant in this house. I didnt see neon box and very humble place. We came and straight ordering, there are only two menu, Nasi Timbel with Chicken or Empal and its a menu set but no drinks. Drinks start at 5000 up to 20k. We wait 5-10min and it came with plenty of sambal, oncom and salted fish. The taste was nice, sambal not too spicy and empal its spot on! I highly recommend the place.

This place offers nasi timbel, it's like a complete rice set menu. There are 2 options, with fried chicken or with seasoned fried meat (daging empal). Not much variations in the menu, but they sure know how to play their strength well. Daging empal, was deeply seasoned, sweet with a hint of savory, just right. Fried chicken was also delicious. One set menu is quite fulfilling, complete with veggies + sambal + tofu + tempe.

Simple place to find nasi timbel with it's besties. Sambal is just right for me who don't like spicy food. Abundant vegies (lalapan), proper for healthy diet 😄
