Absolute favourite store in the whole city. The owners are super friendly, you can see how every product is made and the people working there are treated very well. The products are perfect quality and the whole set up with the little courtyard full of plants makes your soul dangle.

We stopped here during a work trip to Addis. Great selection of baskets, textiles, and jewelry. People were busy at work making the products while we were there so you can see the magic in action.

Salem's is such a great find! I was searching for unique baskets to bring home and Salem's provided. There were so many choices - large and small, colorful and muted, and in all shapes. I highly recommend stopping by.

What a beautiful shop run by beautiful people! Salem’s stocks the most exquisite handmade items, including a large selection of handwoven fabrics made on the premises. It is well worth a visit!

Amazing artisanal handcrafted locally made goods to be found here! This shop features workshops in house where locals are busy basket weaving, weaving on the loom, jewelry making, sewing and silversmithing. You can observe these artisans hard at work and buy artwork created by their hands. Baskets, jewelry, children’s toys, stationary supplies, women’s clothing, men’s clothing, home decor, scarves, tablecloths, napkins you name it can be found here. The shop is run by a lovely couple whom speak excellent English. It is also possible to arrange opportunities to practice your own hand at basketweaving here. Highly recommend a visit to this lovely shop.

Great place to find a diversified Ethiopian craft. Must visit at least once. And if you are a foreign passing by or staying this place is a one stop shop for your Ethiopian original products need. You won't be disappointed.
