The ET Frequent Flyer lounge is a rip-off and totally disrespects the purpose of a FF programme to reward loyalty and enable members to travel and transit in comfort. This is the GOLD and PLATINUM level lounge, thus meaning that a traveller has spent a minimum of $15,000.00 during 12 months in tickets. - SERVICE: This is at best diffident and poor, and mostly absent. Literally. When one arrives for early morning transit before 5 AM, there is almost no service staff. The bar is closed until 7 PM, thus no alcoholic beverages available! Furthermore, they put out disposable cups - for GOLD and PLATINUM members?? On top of that, I've had some of the staff asking me for money - and this isn't even the cleaning staff in the bathrooms angling for a tip. What's up with that?? - The charging points are woefully inadequate (possibly a total of 30-50 charging points in the entire lounge) and more than half do not work AND HAVE NOT BEEN REPAIRED for MONTHS! - FOOD: Mediocre. - ATMOSPHERE: The Lounge is generally a decently designed space with different seating options. However, it is too small for the huge numbers that overcrowd it, and this makes the atmosphere at times rowdy, noisy and not enjoyable. The sleeping area is tiny, with room for only 6 persons at best. Overall, this is only a slight improvement from the general passenger terminal and very poor when compared with lounges and services in other airports.
Quite a refreshing experience, nn excellent Lounge to relax and spend quality time during airport stay
Great lounge. Was really busy but had lots of seating. Few different food locations means it wasn't hard to get something to eat. First time having the dish below (didn't take a photo of the name). But it was some of the best food Ive had in a lounge for a while! Had a small wait for the shower which was fine. Clean, water pressure variable but hot. Overall its a 5 star lounge however you cut it.
Nice and open lounge with lots of seating options. We tried both breakfast and dinner food selection and we liked the dinner slightly more. We hated that it was crowded on both occasions we were there. Huge plus with the Ethiopian lady with traditional clothes and serves traditional ethiopian coffee. Authentic experience. The lounge offers lots of services such as shower, massage, children play room, conference rooms, silent room, praying room etc.
This lounge has so much seating space - general seating, areas near the bar, quiet areas to stretch out, media lounge, massage room. Lots of food choices, including basic juice, coffee, soft drinks, and a bar where you can have drinks made.
I absolutely enjoyed my 3hrs transit at the cloud9 lounge in Addis. I reached very early, 5am but breakfast was already served. There are not a lot of places to sleep like a bed but there's a hall with some comfortable chairs. There's also a Mother's room, a space for meetings and smoking and the cleaners are very efficient in their jobs. Very clean rest rooms
The lounge was great in terms of space. You can’t expect anything like this at an airport in Africa. Truly 5 star! The only pinch point was that everything was self-service. You don’t have staff to help you with the serving of your requests. The vegetarian options are rather limited, and I can relate with this, given the fact that you have to adjust to the majoritarian world view on meal options. But this is the level at which the whole experience needs to get elevated at. You need to have a global menu with options for vegetarians and vegans, with clear labels. As far as drinks were concerned, there were plenty. I can’t provide exact details on those. Overall, you’ll love it.
Modern, comfortable and welcoming lounge. Great selection of hot dishes, salads, fruits and pastries. The lounge has a TV room, resting room, clean bathroom facilities, showers and various comfortable areas to relax. Good WiFi. Clean and tidy. Friendly and efficient staff. Great lounge
