The physical therapists here are awesome. They are dedicated to making sure you fix your issues. I thought they would string me along like I heard PT places do but not Atheltico. I have made good progress since going here and they always make you feel comfortable and don't push you too hard.

I spend 2 1/2 months (going 3 times a week) at the Athletico on the border of Lombard/Glen Ellyn. EVERY time I went in Melissa would greet me with a warm smile and friendly hello and welcome. It really helps when you are in pain. Since I had never been to PT in 68 years, I met Brad my P.T. Someone recommended him, but I was still uncertain until I met him. During those 2 1/2 months he was supportive, positive and fun. Did he push me beyond my comfort zone? Yes, and I thank him every day as a result. I am in great shape, my new knee is now awesome and I am walking and riding miles without pain. Thanks Brad and Melissa!

I’ve never required PT before and I admittedly had low expectations of the process and that it would provide, at best, incremental improvement for my shoulder injury. Despite a compressed timeframe to work within, I was pleasantly shocked at how much progress the staff guided me to achieve. The were knowledgeable, thorough, accommodating and just plain fun to work with. I cannot recommend them enough. I’m not desiring another injury, but if it happens and I need further PT, I know who I’m going to call first. Thanks Ron and Athletico Glen Ellen.

Ron takes great care of each patient putting together therapy programs that help you get to your end goal. Consistent evaluations are done to make sure progress is on track. Clinic setting is fun so while working thru exercises, it’s always a fulfilling outcome. Melissa is also great making everyone feel at ease and enjoy the healing process! Great clinic and team. An amazing company to go to for physical therapy! They always made me feel so welcomed, if an exercise was causing the same pain, it was no issue to remove that to avoid that pain. The at home exercises along with the in person exercises with Luke have really helped to resolve my shoulder injury. 10/10 would recommend to any and everyone! Such a great staff to be around :)

My first time ever with PT. I had a right hip replacement. My only surgery in 68 years. I was very concerned about my recovery as I was limited after surgery. I was amazed at the results. I can do all the things I enjoyed doing when I was younger. Staff was truly amazing. I give them a ten star rating on a five star grid.😊

I was a walk in. Had some issues with my lower back, lower leg strength and flexibility in my hips. I sit for long stretches of time for work and noticed decreases of strength and flexibility causing lower back issues. So, i called for an appointment - Spoke to Melissa and told her what I was looking for and would my insurance cover this. She said Athletico can customize a treatment plan and she’d call by end of day about insurance etc. Which she did. And went in next day for evaluation. There I met Rob S who listened to my concerns and goals. He did an evaluation of my physical abilities and explain how we will work towards my goals. First,Melissa is fabulous - she works with you to accommodate your schedule. And she keeps me informed on upcoming appts and works with me if I need to make changes. I’ve worked with other PT’s before - Ton is an exception. You walk in and he is ready to go and has you working the whole time. And constantly adding and changing up the routine exercises. And great motivator and listens. My back is 100% better and my strength and flexibility is so so much better. I’m where I wanted to be. Now I feel I can manage it from here on. They gave me my exercises to stay with. I highly recommend this facility which is all about the people who run it. Ron and Melissa are what make this a great experience. An upbeat Clean and enjoyable atmosphere.

Let's all admit it. Physical therapy is no fun. Having been to several over the years, I know firsthand. However, somehow this Athletico location made it not only bearable, but fun. Melissa, the do-it-all administrator would always accommodate my changes in schedule and find times that work for me, even when I called last minute. Ron is not only a great therapist that got me back on my feet quickly, and was always available - i.e. I didn't have to switch from one therapist to the next like I did at other places. But the best part was the conversations and banter with him and others including Gabe the intern that made the hour to hour-and-a-half sessions fly by. I highly recommend this location when you need a flexible and 'fun' physical therapist.

I desperately needed a physical therapist for my TMJ disorder and Ron is the best in the area who treats TMJ! I saw him for 5 weeks and I am feeling 50x better than I did when I walked in for my first appointment. The receptionists are very helpful and sweet and overall a great place to get treated for physical therapy! Thanks so much Ron and Athletico!!

I had the pleasure of rehabbing my knee here. Both Luke, and Ron are amazing at their jobs and were beyond helpful and supportive. They were able to make something that is typically a dreadful experience into a fun one. I got to a point where I was actually looking forward to coming to PT. As a busy mom of two young kids, my back pain was impacting my ability to care for my family and to work. The PT I received here was wonderful. The staff are kind and kept the atmosphere fun. I also genuinely felt they were invested in every step of my progress.

Outstanding place for physio therapy. Ron is great. He takes time to make you comfortable and always smiling. Other staff members line Brenda, etc. are all very friendly. Highly recommended. Also, flexible with appointments (including with changes) and the location is very convenient. SMS reminders are also very helpful.

This place has the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. They don’t know how to communicate with their customers or with the insurance companies. I asked them a simple question multiple times for which I never got an answer because they would tell me they’d call me back but they never did. The therapist did a good job but other than that their customer service is horrible. I wouldn’t give them any stars if I didn’t have to.

Ron is so knowledgeable and easy to work with! His whole staff is kind, hardworking and friendly. They always let me know far enough ahead about scheduling appointments & stayed on top of insurance issues and questions. I felt comfortable asking questions & making requests. Top reason - my plantars fasciitis is so much better! I wouldn’t go anywhere else!

I've been going to the Lombard-Glen Ellyn location on and off since 2017 with Ron being my main therapist ever since. I was very unhappy with my previous clinic that was at a hospital. I was recommended to go and see Ron at Atheltico Lombard-Glen Ellyn and discovered that I found my place for PT. Ron has always customized my workouts to my fitness level, strength and, the extreme physical demands that my job required. Because of my profession, my body is extremely beat up so, I've had shoulder surgery & bicep surgery, neck surgery and, I'm currently in the process of going to physical therapy for my knees and back, with a back surgery potentially in my near future. Ron and all of the team there have been a crucial role in keeping me strong enough to not have to rush right onto the surgical table which, I truly appreciate. I will always put my trust and faith into Ron's experience and knowledge base which keeps.bringing me back. I tell everyone I know, if they ever need PT, "I got a guy!" Appointments are flexible and convenient and everyone is super friendly and helpful. It's refreshing to have a crew that enjoys what they do which really translates into the care they provide. Thanks from the bottom of my heart to Ron, Luke , and Melissa for being so great and awesome!! I couldn't ask for a better team nor do this without all of you.

What a wonderful facility to use for therapy!! After my knee replacement, I decided to try this Athletico for my rehab. I was not happy with other therapy facilities I had used for other issues. Luke became my therapist and I can not speak more highly of him and the wonderful treatment I was given. He was very understanding, patient, knowledgeable and an absolute joy to work with!! I will be having my other knee replaced and will definitely be using their services again! Melissa, who works at the front desk, is very welcoming and very accommodating with scheduling. I enjoyed seeing her smiling face every time I went there. Thanks for making my recovery a terrific experience. I highly recommend this facility to anyone needing therapy!!!

This place is amazing! I play soccer multiple nights per week, and had a serious knee injury in August 2022 with ACL reconstruction surgery in October 2022. Ron and his staff have basically guided me through one of the most difficult periods of my life with their positive energy, knowledge, and expertise. Ron has over 30 years of experience specific to Physical Therapy, and his staff are just as knowledgeable and easy to work with! I'm still not done with my recovery process but I can't understate how great the clinic atmosphere is here and it all starts with the people! Ron brings a very special and unique energy that pushes me to push my own limits and get better sooner rather than later, but we all laugh in the clinic so much too because of the culture Ron and Luke and Melissa have created there. I can't recommend this specific clinic enough to anyone with any kind of injury or post surgery, it's still surprises me the breadth of different body parts they can help with, and it's really an understatement to say these folks have touched my life and they will forever be in my heart. Ron is a great physical therapist! I used this location about 2 years ago for a foot issue and Ron did great work fixing my foot. Now I find myself in need of PT for a much more devastating injury and coming back to see Ron and crew was my first choice. Melissa is also great at what she does, and the magic she works with the schedule.

I was going up the stairs in my own home a few months ago and tore my meniscus in my knee. I went to see Ron because of a recommendation from my son and this was the best experience with physical therapy I've ever had. I'm in my 60s and have been to multiple physical therapy facilities over the years for my knees, neck, back, hips, etc. I've never had an experience like this one at Athletico in Glen Ellyn. First, the atmosphere and energy are different in this clinic to any other experience I've ever had. The positivity is always flowing in abundance and the extreme level knowledge they have is astounding, it honestly felt like Ron knew more than all the Ortho Surgeons I've ever spoken to! But just as importantly, this is the first time I've ever seen and felt a significant improvement from PT... my experience has always been that PT can help minimally but its usually a waste of money for the actual benefits. Not the case here, Ron and his entire staff have helped me get stronger than before I injured my knee and motivated me to continue strengthening my body even after I've been discharged. Thank you so much to the entire team, I am forever grateful for your expertise and passion for healing!

This Athletico is wonderful. From the front desk (Melissa), to all the therapist and assistants. Everyone cares about you as a person and your overall health, nit just your physical rehab. Ron is an expert in the McKenzie Treatment program, and helped me to understand that there is no magic fix for my spinal/neck issue, but taught me how to control the pain and things to do to manage/lesson it.

Don't look any further - excellent facility, great culture and dedicated physical therapists. I worked with Luke Gentile, he was phenomenal- each visit he would ask detailed questions about the progress and would go at the pace needed. Luke would always go above and beyond, keeping in mind overall wellness and patient education. He'd always give me tips for sustained recovery and would never be rushed. Highly recommend!

I came in for physical therapy on my repaired acl, and I was very happy with my experience. My recovery was much easier than I thought thanks to the support provided here. Everyone here is super friendly and helpful. In addition, they are really flexible with appointments making rehab very smooth. Ron was especially helpful. He took the time out to explain everything and ensure I was meeting all my goals. Overall I would highly recommend coming here for pt!

Having been a PT patient at other area facilities, I’m really impressed with the expertise, on-target exercises and progress I made. I think I even surprised my therapist Rob, due to his challenging me when I said I wanted to progress faster. My plan was customized to me. Friendly and encouraging team. Sessions longer than elsewhere, which I appreciated. Already referred my husband.

Having come in to Athletico - Glen Ellyn after an injury to my back and left leg , I literally had no use of my left leg. Ron and the whole team were amazing - after several weeks of intense workouts I can say I’m so thankful to have been sent here. My experience with Ron at Kevin couldn’t have been better. Very professional and trustworthy. They helped me understand what my issue was and what exactly needed to be done. My results are proof of that- completely erasing my pain in my shoulder. Adding on to that, both are extremely friendly and charismatic. You can always except a good laugh or two when you come in for your session. Highly recommend!

Ron and Kevin are the best. I’ve spent the last 6 months with them, 3 times a week. From after surgery procedures to learning to walk again to gaining strength, I have always felt like I was in good hands. They aren’t only great at what they do, they are great people. I recently finished up my PR journey, with Ernie, at the Glen Ellyn Athletico. I had lower back surgery in the fall and I couldn’t have ask for a more proactive and invested Physical therapist as I did in Ernie. He always surprised me by going above and beyond his responsibilities as a PT. Doing extra research and investing time out side of our meetings for the benefit of my full recovery. I am very pleased with my experience at this Athletico. Ron was great at explaining everything regarding what I needed to accomplish to get my foot back on track after my broken foot had healed, and was spot on with all the exercises he had me do to get there. Kevin was also pleasant, helpful, and welcoming. My foot feels better after my 3+ weeks here. Hours are also convenient for my work schedule. Highly recommend coming here.

I attribute Ron, the clinic director, with my recovery after a cervical spine surgery that left me barely able to walk and unable to raise my right arm or use my hand. He was patient, never gave up on me and kept the therapy challenging at a pace that I could manage. He was as big an advocate for my recovery as I was. I don't know where I'd be if I hadn't been fortunate enough to find this facility.

Ron the main physical therapist having great team with him, two years back I had physiotherapy for my right knee and Ron helped me a lot and my knee is in good condition now.

This is the second time I have used this facility for serious rehab. The first was for a broken back. When I had my knee replaced a couple weeks ago, I knew I wanted to go back and work with Ron. He really knows his stuff and helps you get results as long as you are willing to do the work. He's tough but not rough. I trust him to push me to get the job done without needless pain or trauma. That doesn't mean you won't work hard, but you can be confident you work out RIGHT. Everyone at this facility is professional, friendly and understanding. They follow all Covid protocols. Masks are required for everyone, and they take your temp when you enter. They also wipe down all equipment and tables in between patients. I highly recommend!

Everyone I encountered there made sure to welcome me, make me feel comfortable, and were interested in getting me back in action. My main therapist, Ernie, is fabulous. He listens carefully to me and is my biggest cheerleader. I always leave feeling physically & mentally better. I recommend them 100%!

I had a problem with bending my foot at the toes and ball of the foot, due to a foot infection which took six months to heal. The exercises along with the therapy I received has brought my foot and toe box back to normal. I am able to walk down the stairs normally, step over step, as my toes now bend properly. I also received a flow chart so that I can continue to keep my foot working normally Best of all it has gotten me back to the gym so I can continue with my exercise classes and working out with the machines. Thanks to the staff at athletico 😊

I have been going to this Athletico PT location for several years for different problems, knees, shoulder, and back. Ron Struebing is the main physical therapist there and he is very knowledgeable, skilled therapist who has always gotten me straightened out.The other physical therapists that I have seen there on occasion have also been good. And the support staff are always courteous and helpful. I highly recommend them if you need PT.

Overall I had a great experience in going to Athletico in Glen Ellyn in dealing with a nagging knee injury. The therapist, Ron, clearly explained what was going on, how to get better, and what to do moving forward, while Kevin was also a huge help every step of the way. In addition to getting better physically, I had some good conversations and laughs throughout my time at Athletico. If I had to do it all over again I would definitely go back.

I had a great experience at this specific facility. Ron was my main therapist but also alternated once in a while with Kevin, Nick and Brenda. All very kind and knowledgeable, I came in for a post ruptured distil bicep tendon repair with little to no strength or flexibility especially on pronation and supination and left with more strenth coming in, and full mobility once again. They remember you on a personal feel first name basis and always ask how you're doing. Great team they got there, very kind people. Would recommend going there as I would again.

This was an amazing experience! Ron is definitely one of the most competent therapists out there and had the ability to be very empathetic to my situation while still encouraging, progressing me, and making it fun!!! His team is very professional. After many years of chronic knee pain, I finally feel better, and wished I had known about Ron sooner!
