I didn’t catch her name but the woman working the counter today with colored hair and glasses gave me the absolute worst customer service i’ve ever received. Mocking my choice of purchase, she told me that she knew of better books than what I was buying and made another worker take me to the books she thought I should buy while my card was literally in the machine paying for the book I WANTED. She was “trying to be helpful” in the most disrespectful and rude way and I will not be coming back to this location again.

Didn't catch her name. But a blond haired, oldish lady with glasses, and was also kinda short was absolutely rude and had zero patience. I had 13 different dice picked out and was about to purchase them, but I left it at the counter and told her I had to step outside and take a call, when I got back she had put all of them back and refused to go retrieve them again, all she did was take a basket back there and left me to find them all over again. Not to mention, she had the biggest attitude and would not take responsibility or even apologize. That was the worst experience I've ever had to deal with.

The bookstore is a bit small so you may not find a big selection, but they still have some interesting collections. My review is mainly for the Starbucks coffee shop in the store. They have a really cool deal where you can buy a book for $5 with a cafe order. The barista, Lisa B, was super friendly and said they feature a new book every 4-6 weeks. They also have food items that I haven’t seen at other Starbucks locations, and my drink was made well. Lovely experience overall.

If there's a book series you like, or want to start getting into, the in store location will make collecting nearly impossible since it never seems to carry many duplicates in stock in the first place, and they are terrible at restocking it once it sells out. I ended up buying a set online elsewhere because for a few weeks of coming in daily, the first book in that series was never made available. It doesn't help to have 2-3 copies of the 5th book in a series if you can't get ahold of the 1st, 2nd, and 4th one after weeks of trying. I hate to be that guy, but I actually have an easier time buying from jane addams, a used book store, because they understand the value of having more than a single copy of a book at any given point. It's been like that since 2012, and it's only gotten worse. It also doesn't help that their website goes through periods where it is unusable, as it was that poorly optimized and buggy, it took more than 10 minutes to load any given page on any device I tried to access it on when we have fiberoptic internet. If you find something online that says its available in the store, I often can't find a single employee who knows if they even carry it, for basic things like flash cards during back to school season. Some employees over the years have even gotten an attitude just for asking. Additionally, anything there is at least 10 percent cheaper and readily available at walmart, even with member discounts. When a walmart out performs a book store at selling books, maybe it's time to start listing the establishment as a starbucks with a book themed gift shop.

I love browsing this bookstore. It has a peaceful atmosphere and its staff is always so helpful. I love being able to just pause and collect myself while I look through my favorite books ...and occasionally but as well. :)

Not like it used to be the big stuffed leather chairs are gone probably to hurd you over to Starbucks. The friendly atmosphere just isn't there there anymore. Seen several people write down titles then buy the books online from different booksellers. It's really is a shame it used to be a wonderful place brought many books there. Will not be going back.

I must say I was quite surprised they had items for not only myself but both mu children. My daughter is into KPOP and surprisingly they had BTS items, nice selection of vinyl, and a great selection of books.

My wife and I were visiting our granddaughter and her family in the Urbana/Champaign area. We saw this Barnes and Noble and decided to stop and check it out. It is quite large but I was disappointed in their magazine selection. My wife bought a few books for our new great granddaughter for her parents to start reading to her with colorful pictures and hopefully one day she will read them herself.

Came to kill some time before dinner and was taken away with how many books and comics options they had. I also found pretty cool Lego sets there as well which I didn't expect

Able to get in and out with ease. Employees were helpful. Nice to go into a store and look at items before getting the right one.

No longer a family friendly place. I was checking out and on display is a book with filth and profanity in its title (right where my 9 year old son can read it). I informed the staff and they could care less. Barnes and abomination should be your new store name.

They had a 50% off hardcover sale so the store was very very crowded and kind of overwhelming. However staff was still kind and working really hard. Line was long but we got through it in under 10 minutes.

Good sized location, lots of options and only sometimes very busy. Usually a comfortable small-sized crowd resides in the large store at any given time.

Best way to say this. I don't know how many times over the years I've walked in and said, "I'm looking for........", And I always seem to leave with what I'm looking for or an order put in for it. Great service, knowledgeable staff.

I’ve never had a bad experience here and have been coming back 2-3x per week recently. Nicholette (I hope I spelled it right) was extremely sweet and helpful and went above and beyond today to make sure they were able to order the mangas I was looking for. I get a bit of anxiety when asking for help in these settings but she took away that anxiety immediately. I very much appreciate her!
