Beautiful place been going here since I was a teen. Wouldn’t recommend swimming here saw a alligator near me while I was in the water. It didn’t seem too afraid considering all the other people around me as well. Watch your dogs and babies to play it safe.

No swimming here; keep eye out alligators; nice picnic area with clean portapotty. Big size benches near water for taking in the breeze off the lake and the beauty of this area in Southport about 10 miles from Brunswick Forest.

Hidden gem! While visiting Holden Beach we were looking for places close to kayak.... This lake was perfect! Beautiful area and well maintained. My kids went swimming too! We can't wait to come back! Some tips: there is a designated place to launch your kayak or canoe, no fishing at this lake and there are portapotties.

Would rate higher if there was DIY alligator petting activities like I found at other nearby lakes. I snorkled here all day looking fir dem gators to pet only to find the county proactively removes any wandering into this swimming hole. If you want safe boring suburban lake swimming this is the place for you. Just some copperheads and mocassions.

Seems like it would be a nice little place to fish. It has a swimming area but the water is really dark and there are alligators in the water, so if it's me I would be cautious.

This place holds so many memories from my younger years. I lived up the road and many summers were spent here. Nice and clean

This is a great little park to take your family and kids to play in the lake.

First time there and was really pleased! Nice park to swim and picnic or just relax. Friendly family atmosphere and clean fun! I'll be going back!!

The lake has public swimming. It is a nice location for family events.

This was a really nice park. Lake seems very clean my only concern is there appeared to be alligators in the water. Not sure how that works. There's a really small nature trail to the right of the beach that has all kinds of different plants. The nature trail was short enough for me to enjoy, but long enough for me to learn something. Overall it's a great Park I still worry about the alligators though. I'm not sure how that works out
