😠 Terrible place. Tried to charge us 60% of the room price for an early check in at a place where most buses arrive at 6am. It says nothing about the extra charge on hostelworld. Terrible place. Tried to charge us 60% of the room price for an early check in at a place where most buses arrive at 6am. It says nothing about the extra charge on hostelworld. We left and found another place which was cheaper and let us check in early at no extra charge. Don't stay here, there are much better and cheaper options in Uyuni in a better location. She was so rude and only trying to rinse us for as much as she could.

Where do I start? * The duvet had white stains which it looked like it wasn't properly cleaned. Initially, the receptionist didn't want to change it until the manager/owner came to see it for his own eyes. * In the morning (7:00 am) we went to use the kitchen and few minutes later a member of staff came to say that we were not allowed to use it. He was so rude that he turned off the gas and became physically aggressive. We were preparing coffee, porridge and boiling eggs (max. 10 minutes everything was done). We didn't know that the kitchen is closed for use until after 10:00 am. We understand they have their rules but they are not properly communicated. We had an altercation with the staff and manager/owner. He shouted us down and called us liars. We left immediately after our breakfast. * After the check out, we were waiting for our tour guide to pick us up when the receptionist came asking for a missing towel. We explained that the two towels were left in the room. They insisted to check our bags, we didn't have it. We took every single item out of our bags. They wanted us to pay for the missing towel. However, "mistakenly" one cleaner went to the room and TOOK the towel! He was even escalating the situation to calling the police. The manager muttered a meagre apology. Honestly, they were accusing us to have stolen a towel but we believe they just tried to get money from us. NEVER again will go to this place. Do not book with them. Don't waste you energy and money with them. They are a scam.

One of the worst hostels i stayed in my life. The guy working at the reception behaved like a prison guard bullying people staying in the common rooms at 11pm to go to bed. No socialising was allowed, people talking quietly were forced to go to their dorms. If you dont want run a hostel, just close it down?! This place is a joke, stay away!

10min walk to all the tour agencies, about 15-20min walk to the bus terminal. Great breakfast with eggs, bread, jam, tea, coffee, yoghut, milk and cereal. Plenty of bathrooms and showers. Always enough toilet paper. Bottom bunk was veeery shallow, you could not sit on the side of the bed without banging your head. Lockers and sockets right next to each bed. Enough blankets to stay warm at night. Really can't complain!

Nice hostel and warm shower BUT (and it may not sound like a big deal but meant I hardly slept) the pillows are ridiculous - they’re so big and firm, it’s just so uncomfortable to sleep on. If you lie on your back your chin basically touches your chest and if you lie on your side your neck hurts after 2 minutes. New pillows and the stay would’ve been great.

The good - the hostel is immaculately clean and the common room/kitchen is great and nice and large with a terrace attached. Never had to wait for showers or bathrooms as there is one on each floor. I found it fairly easy to socialise but it wasn’t the most social hostel I’ve been to either. The breakfast is really decent, eggs, muesli, juice, yoghurt and fresh fruit with coffee and tea. They also have takeaway menus so you can get food delivered. 18min walk to the hostel from the bus station, but I’d recommend walking along the main road and not the way it suggests as it’s a dark road, with nothing around and some dogs tried to attack me. Or - catch a taxi - I think it’s worth it. - they allow late check out 7pm for additional 40bob which is certainly helpful for those catching any night bus. The not so good - -Location was a bit far out and as a solo female traveller I didn’t feel safe to go out and walk into town at night, very empty streets. I was super grateful for the takeaway menus in these moments. I think with some people you’d be fine though! Tika restaurant is maybe the closest and was delicious. - the top bunks are not well designed, the smallest ladders that actually kind of hurt your feet and are incredibly awkward to get up, would not be good for anyone with any kind of mobility issue. -It was farrr to hot in the rooms at night. I stayed in the 8 bed dorm and was melting, not a single person had used the duvets/blankets or even sheets. They could definitely turn the heaters down at night as it was a bit suffocating and many people agreed. We were laughing how sweaty we all were. -I was told to be quiet at 10pm for having a normal level conversation with one of the girls in my room (we were the only ones in there) which we thought was a bit ridiculous, having to whisper in your empty dorm room at that time for a hostel felt a bit much. But no one seemed to tell off the girl at 6am speaking so loudly on the phone just outside of our room on the couches. So I do see why it’s not the most social hostel, while I respect that it’s great they ask the common rooms to be quiet after 10, I think you should be able to talk in your room (as I said there was just the 2 of us in there so weren’t disturbing anyone’s sleep!) Overall though I did enjoy my stay here, and these are small things. The town is kind of a strange layout so I’m not sure exactly where would be considered a good location!.

Very modern hostel. With heating and warm water (very important in Uyuni). Breakfast is also nice. Very clean. Just keep in mind you have to pay extra 40bs for an early check in (before 1pm, although they had the beds ready). And if you want to leave your suitcase in locker room they charge 3bs per night (regardless if you stay another night in the hostel when you come back from the tour.

There are definitely better places in town with the price you pay. Better location and better customer service. Not bad as the last resort 😅 Looks new and nice from the outside, I gave them credit for that. As a hostel, this place absolutely has NO vibe. The lady in day shift greeted us with a bunch of rules instead of recommendations. She asked us what our plans were when we checked out with a smile for the first time. After we said we are leaving tonight, she charged us to use the wifi. We paid extra because we want to stay upstairs. You might be surprised by other hidden charges. If she is an employee, I recommend some hospitality training. If she is the owner, best of luck to her next business endeavour.

For a hostel, they offer good value for money. We paid 28€ for a night, had a decent double room, clean showers and bathrooms and a decent breakfast. Considering this city is in the middle of the desert, this seems like a fair deal. Everything was very clean and reception staff friendly. They do indeed charge for many things extra, but that’s something that can be taken into consideration before booking - I’ve added the price list.

Very modern and comfortable, well equipped kitchen, hot showers. Room on the small side, slightly pricey. Staff rude and difficult. Location slightly away from main street, a little bit annoying. They will charge for luggage storage and early check in, slightly disappointing.

Recommended! Helpful and friendly staff. Breakfast is great. It helped me a lot to have a garage for my car. Also nice location and very clean

Wonderful hostel, incredibly clean, friendly staff, nice and bright, great upstairs common area with kitchen, couches, and outdoor patio to hang. Safe parking for motocycle! One of the cleanest hostels in South America. And I will put the buffet breakfast up there as one of the best too - couldn’t fault it, wonderful!

We arrived at 6 am after a long night bus ride, without a booking, and they were able to offer a private room with a private bathroom, which was super nice! The room was next to a main corridor but still was pretty quiet. The chilling areas are great, creating opportunities to meet other travelers, and breakfast was really good. It was exactly what we needed: a place to relax between a long trip and a 3-days tour. Main concern for me was the location: the street is a bit isolated and is scary at night. There are lots of dogs and not many people, aside from a few groups of teenagers who didn't really made us feel safe. I don't think it's dangerous overall, just not comfortable. Uyuni just isn't the prettiest town, but at least, everything is close by (there are great restaurants not too far). Careful, it gets pricey quite quick: add an extra for accessing the room and breakfast earlier, then an extra to keep your luggage during the Salar de Uyuni tour, then another extra to have a shower when you come back, and you end up with a salty bill.

Strange feel due to the owners strict rules so gives an uncomfortable feel which is a shame as the facilities are good. Feels as if even the staff are on edge and a bit like living in a prison. Also located a bit far from the centre. I personally wouldn't stay again as being felt welcome should be the minimum expected from a hostel, not as though you are an inconvenience.

Stayed here October 2022: Pros: Decent breakfast, clean and well-maintained facilities. Spacious common area with lots of tables upstairs Wi-fi is good enough (but I had difficulties doing Zoom calls). Big kitchen (but you can't use it until like 10AM or something). A quiet area which I like. Cons: Moody proprietors with lots of rules that just killed the overall 'vibe' for me. I literally got 'shushed' like a five-year-old for having a slightly raised voice whilst having a conversation with other backpackers in the morning. A little more hospitality training will go a long way. Can't do laundry here which I guess is reasonable as they are in the middle of a desert and water needs to be conserved. Top bunk bends in shared dorms might just kill you for lack of decent/safe steps. Overall, it's a decent option if you're on a budget, but still want to mingle, and only in town for a few days.

The best hostel in Uyuni. Clean, good wifi, and nice bathrooms. The breakfast was some of the best I've had on my travels. Slightly out of the way, but not a big issue.

A beautiful hostel in Uyuni! It was a pleasure to stay at Piedra Blanca during my time in Uyuni. Staff are multilingual and very accommodating. Rooms are a good size, very clean, and new-looking. Bathrooms and common spaces are frequently cleaned and are almost never dirty! The included breakfast service is also very good, including freshly made scrambled eggs, toast with jam and butter, oats, cereal, coffee, tea, and more. While certainly not the cheapest hostel, it is clear that in paying a bit more, you recieve superior service and comfort. As long as you are willing to spend a bit more for these benefits, you will find yourself having a great experience here.

This is a great hostel. It was clean, warm, quiet, good wifi and had a good included breakfast. The room also had places to put our bags and hooks on the walls to hang things. It is a short walk from the centre of town.

Good breakfast and WiFi. Shared bathrooms but clean and hot water. Good wifi.

Friendly staff, ok dormitory with individual lockers, shelf and power sockets, but no privacy curtains, and also the window had no curtains so the sun shone directly in at 5am. Good kitchen facilities. At one point all 8 shared toilet cubicles had ran out of paper so wise to bring your own. It's on the edge of town but still felt safe to walk to at night.

Poor management and facilities. There was a miscommunication about what was allowed prior to check in. At every hostel, the showers are free to use (as guests pay this to be included in their stay). However, the manager did not inform us that this was not the case. Next thing, he approaches us in the bathroom telling us the showers are not free to use (after we have showered - how convenient for him!). Demands a payment, refuses to discuss there being a miscommunication and continues to make us feel belittled. Don’t bother staying in Uyuni or here, as neither have soul or a welcoming feel.

Great hotel, the staff is very helpful and friendly, the place is extremely clean, it's the first time I've seen this in Bolivia. In addition, the price of rooms, private or mixed, is very good and includes a vers nice breakfast. The only downside is the coffee, which is not excellent. I invite you to go there and make your own opinion.

Really good place: clean, cheap compared to other places in Uyuni and a breakfast buffet with some egg, fruit, muesli and yoghurt.

Strange place. It ticks all the boxes, but it seems too big for is own good. It feels like an institution, with lots of rules and no atmosphere. The location is relatively far out, with some dark roads to walk down. Also everything costs extra. That said, the staff were friendly, it was clean, the showers we good.

Very friendly and reliable employees, that even opened up at 3am in the morning (we had no reservation) and still were so friendly. They let us in to wait for the morning. Check-in was late, at 13h, but it was okay. Very clean place, comfortable atmosphere, modern and everything in perfect order. Breakfast was good. We had a great stay.

Great hostel. Stayed in a twin room, breakfast was amazing. Nice little touch of having scrambled eggs cooked for you which is rare in hostels. Reception team are very accommodating, speak fluent English. Bathrooms very clean, always seeing a member of staff keeping it clean. Nice large balcony for everyone to use and chill out. If you want to have a late check out, this could be possible. And can use the building after check out for 20 bolivianos per person. But have to pay more for a shower Would stay again here but it is a short walk from the main area 5*

Amazing place. Nice people, English speakers. Heaters and hot water!!! Not obvious at all in this area. A bit far from the central…

Easily the best and nicest Hostel in Uyuni. The staff speak multiple languages which makes it easy to communicate if you’re a foreigner like me. They also are a great source of information for all things tourist. It was little pricey I will admit as my partner and I paid 482bs for 2 nights and an early check in fee. However! That being said, the hostel was gorgeous with an amazing breakfast included from 8-10am which has eggs cooked in front of you, breads, fruit, coffee and tea, oats and cereal, etc. They also offer a service that you can pay simply to shower, leave your stuff there and eat for 40bs which I thought was useful. Overall, probably the best hostel.
