We had a magnificent stay at Hotel Villa Marie. We felt really at home at the hotel, everybody was super kind and friendly and always had good recommendations. The pool was great but we enjoyed above all the many varied sitting areas, there was always a quiet spot to find in either the sun or the shade. Even though the hotel is along the main road along the lake, the windows are super well insulated so we had no noise. Beds were very comfortable and even the standard rooms were nice and spacious. One of our preferred hotel stays ever and we travel a lot.

My partner and I had a beautiful stay at Hotel Villa Marie. This is a family-run hotel where the staff knows your name and room off-hand throughout your stay. The staff was welcoming and very helpful in assisting you navigate the busses, ferries, taxis, etc. Rooms are cleaned daily with fresh towels and linen. We had the simplest room, which has everything you need including a safe for your valuables. Breakfast is served daily on the front terrace with a beautiful view of the lake. Stay here if you want to be in a more quiet area of Lake Como, with convenience to transit, and without sacrificing the view - would highly recommend and stay again!

The location and view of the lake is perfect, the whole area is lovely to walk and the ferry is just a few min walk from hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good (incl. gluten-free options upon request) - especially enjoyed the homemade cakes! The suit is very spacious with lovely view. Kudos for toiletries that included hair conditioner and a really good hairdryer (incl top for curly hair). It is a lovely old villa with lots of detail but that also means that furniture and bathroom is a bit outdated. Not many food options in the hotel itself.

Incredible hotel to base out of and explore the beautiful Lake Como! Staff was so attentive and clearly cared deeply about each guest’s experience— I left something in my room and they were kind enough to mail it to my next destination. Breakfast and dinner were exactly what we needed and service was excellent. Already planning a trip to return to Lake Como and will DEFINITELY stay at this hotel again!

Villa mit Flair am schönen Comer See. Wir hatten schönes Zimmer mit Balkon und Seeblick. Das Hotel hat gutes Frühstück, dass auf der Terrasse mit Seeblick serviert wird. Im Innenraum gibt es ein Büfett mit Schinken, Salami, Käse, Eier und Obst, Müsli, Jogurt …und einen guten Orangensaft. Kaffee, Tee, Cappuccino … wird an den Tisch gebracht. Das Hotel bietet auch mittags und Abend eine kleine Karte mit Speisen an, die sehr lecker sind. Wir haben Bresaola mit Parmesan und Olivenöl, sehr zu empfehlen, anschließend leckere Nudelgerichte sowie hervorragendes Panna Cotta mit stückeligen Orangenmarmelade gegessen. Ebenso verfügt das Hotel über einen schönen kleinen Pool mit Liegewiese. Auf der gegenüberliegenden Straße befindet sich eine eigenes Bootshaus mit Terrasse, auf der sich Liegen und Stühlen befinden. Durch eine Treppe, ist ein Zugang zum See möglich. Noch zu erwähnen ist, dass die ganze Hotelanlage sehr, sehr sauber ist und das Personal, sowie die Inhaber Elisabetta und Ihr Mann sehr aufmerksam sind. Wir werden sicher nochmal kommen.

Great experience, I would highly recommend this hotel. Situated in a perfectly convenient location with beautiful views, easy access to ferry that allows you to explore other towns around lake Como. In the hotel itself is everything you need, to enjoy your holidays; swimming pool and terrace, bar and very lovely, warm-hearted staff that went above and beyond to accommodate our needs! Cleanliness is 10/10, tasty food, very happy with our stay :)

This hotel has a very nice personal approach towards guests. Nice service, always happy to help. If you can't choose where to eat in the night, you can always stay and enjoy the view with a pasta. The rooms look very authentic and classy. Happy to have stayed here for a couple of days. The location is very convenient. It is located in a calmer part of Lake Como, with connections to the ferry towards the busier Bellagio/Varenna/Menaggio.

The hosta are very king and caring. The have great serves and good breakfast. The room was clean and orginized.The place is in a great location ( close to the fairy bus) and there are good restaurant in a few minutes by walking. There is parking. We enjoyed our stay!!

Possibly one of the best boutique hotels we booked on our entire European honeymoon! Hotel Villa Marie is located in Tremezzo and about a 10 minute walk from the port. When we arrived, we were greeted by such friendly staff & reception. You can tell they run this place which such love & care. The owner even gave us a glass of presence to wish us congratulations on our honeymoon :) We had booked the deluxe room with lake view in mid September which was the perfect size! A gorgeous mini balcony to wake up to in the morning. Bedroom & bathroom were both spacious and we have copious amount of closet and drawer space. Despite it being a “older” hotel which we were a bit nervous about, the rooms are clean and very well maintained. They also provide guests with a room key with a unique key chain which is quite heavy so they encourage you to drop it off everytime you leave the hotel and pick it up at reception upon return. I personally love that special touch! Each morning, we got to enjoy the continental breakfast downstairs in the terrace & breakfast room which had quite a bit of variety (croissants, yogurts, fruits, cured meats, scrambled eggs, toast, juice & coffee). The hotel has the most stunning front terrace & rooftop terrace for guests to enjoy. We unfortunately didn’t enjoy the pool since it was a bit cold or try the in house restaurant since we were always out & about Como but hopefully next time when we come back. The wifi is a bit spotty at times which would be the only negative comment if we have to be picky. Overall, I’d say this is definitely the place to book if staying in Tremezzo. Not only will you be away from the hustle & bustle of tourists but you’ll be well taken care of at a fraction of the price compared to other 3/4 star hotels. Grazie!!! ❤️

Absolutely wonderful. This is definitely more of a 4 star hotel for sure!! We stayed for 5 nights and it was fabulous. Incredible and welcoming hosts and staff. Beautiful views. Great cocktails. I recommend staying here instead of Bellagio, Menaggio or Como. It's a lot more relaxing and peaceful. It's easy to get to various villas and museums to visit. There's a wonderful nearby park where you can swim and take beautiful romantic photographs. Highly recommended and we will be back again!

This 3 star Hotel is more like a 4 star Hotel. Amazing service, rooms were spacious and so clean. I cannot fault this hotel it has great hospitality and fantastic views of the lake. We had breakfast included in our stay and it was well worth it. I would definitely come back and stay. Perfect location🙂

I cannot put into words how incredible our stay at Hotel Villa Marie was, but I’ll attempt! My husband and I stayed here last month for our wedding along with our families. The hotel is absolutely beautiful! The room we chose was the blue “junior suite lake view” room and pictures do not do it justice. It is SO beautiful. The view from the room is absolutely incredible. I was actually surprised at how much storage was available in the room as well. We had a ton of clothes (wedding dress & tux included) and everything fit perfectly into the wardrobe and drawers. The bathroom is also beautiful and I loved having the bathtub. The family that runs this hotel is SO lovely. They went above and beyond every single day to make sure we were taken care of. I’m not really a breakfast person, but I ate breakfast every morning because it was just too good to skip out on. They serve a different homemade cake every morning and that alone is enough to get me out of bed. 😂 As soon as you open the doors to leave your room in the morning you can smell the most amazing smells throughout the hallways coming from the kitchen. The location is also perfect! There are many delicious restaurants all within walking distance and the ferry stop is very close as well. We were all so sad to leave on our last day, but we will 100% be back!! ❤️
