Do not trust the photos and reviews here, the place is in a poor condition and dirty. Maybe it was good before, but now it’s run by some guy who doesn’t care about the quality and service

I was looking for a BNB with an authentic classic Italian ambience where I could rest for a few days and I found it in the centre of Bologna city at - Alberta's. A very quite and peaceful place with a wonderful classic interior. The rooms look exactly like they do on her site! It's located at 10 minutes walk from the Piazza Maggiore and if needed there are busses right in front of the BNB, that go in every direction and every 4 minutes throughout the day. The best treat though, was Alberta herself! I enjoyed every minute I spent talking to her, telling me of the history of the place...having her delicious home made pastry and jams... a very nostalgic experience. Simply an exceptional lady with an exceptional place!... will be going back for sure. Grazie Alberta!

I am a BNB regular everywhere I go, and this was exceptional. Alberta is a beautiful lady who was obviously a rocker in her day, her tastes are eclectic and classic. I had home made tarts,jam and fruit listening to jazz in the morning. Love love loved it. My only complaint was no WiFi. The awesome pillows made up for it!!

This was my first BnB experience and i'm affraid i'm ruind for the ones to come in the future. Cause this one will be difficult to top. The interior is so beautiful and authentic. The garden well groomed and designed, great hang out for smokers like me! For technical and practical information check out my sister's review (we visited together). And last but not least: breakfast was awesome!! Specialy when you have a hangover! Mille grazie Alberta e Francisco.

I m in bologna once a week and this is the place I always sleep in. clCozy and familiar they made me feel like at home.

Siamo stati 3 notti al b&b Alberta, la nostra prima volta a Bologna per il weekend di Ognissanti ed è stato come sentirsi a casa di un 'amica carissima coccolati in tutto e per tutto. Lo avevo scelto per le ottime recensioni e confermo tutto. Innanzitutto tutto la posizione è perfetta, a 7 minuti a piedi da piazza maggiore. Il b&b poi è veramente delizioso. La camera (noi eravamo nella rossa) ha un ingresso indipendente ed è molto ampia con un lungo corridoio, una zona con la cabina armadio, il bagno un po' piccolo ma comodo e la camera vera e propria con un materasso comodissimo! La stanza è arricchita dalla collezione di borse di Alberta, mobili d epoca ed è tutto pulitissimo e sempre profumato. In più è presente, e molto gradito, un bollitore per l acqua e le bustine di the e caffè e camomilla. Ci hanno cambiato anche gli asciugamani ogni giorno sebbene non fosse previsto. La colazione servita con servizio di porcellana e posate in argento nel soggiorno di Alberta con torte fatte in casa, le marmellate di Alberta e tutta una serie di the e tisane, succo d arancia servita per noi dal figlio della si3anche lui gentilissimo. Ma la dolcezza di Alberta è ciò che mi ha colpito di più. L ultimo giorno avevamo avvisato che non avremmo fatto colazione in sala ma al massimo ci saremmo fatti un the in camera col bollitore perché dovevamo partire molto presto e aspettavamo il taxi per l aeroporto. Ma lei, deliziosa , ci ha fatto trovare in camera delle fette di torta alla zucca fatta da lei la sera prima.. Cosa volere di più!? Se dovessimo tornare a Bologna, che ci è piaciuta moltissimo, naturalmente torneremo qui al b&b di Alberta! STRACONSIGLIATO!!
