Our stay at the Mandarin was exceptional. We stayed for 2 nights and we actually want to extend our stay but it wasn't possible. The food at the Bistro and the Restaurant was great and the service was outstanding. We had a two hour boat trip on the lake which was something we will cherish for a long time. We also booked a 2 hour signature spa treatment which was heavenly and highly recommended to those that want to relax and rejuvenated. We would definitely stay here again and look for other Mandarin experiences elsewhere.

The grounds are gorgeous . The hotel had a popcorn maker in the suite for our kids which was very thoughtful. The service for dinner was great. But for the rates charged, the service was mediocre. Housekeeping was rude (rolled her eyes after knocking at my door when I asked for 15 minutes before we were ready to leave. She then game back 3 hours later when we were then home from lunch, and she proceeded to knock at the door when she walked out of the room for supplies forcing us to get up from relaxing outside on lounge chairs to let her back in-crazy). They also left a pair of underwear that was not ours on the bathtub one day-gross. We did receive an apology from management and the housekeeping manager. Also, when asking for a ride from concierge hours before dinner, they could find us a ride there (for 4 times the going rate) but said they could not get us home and made no effort to find another ride. Luckily our boat driver from that day found us a ride as did the restaurant for a quarter of what the hotel charged. The hotel should have asked if we needed rides after emailing me a list of recommended restaurants weeks prior if finding rides is that difficult. And on our last night when my husband I went for a drink after dinner, it took 25 minutes after I got poured my glass of wine for him to receive his whiskey despite only a handful of tables being occupied. Unfortunately the hotel has beer service on champagne rates, but it is a gorgeous hotel with mostly wonderful employees.

Have stayed here twice. best property on the lake. . But the service has become HORRIBLE!! Hosting an event - events teams completely unresponsive for weeks. Breakfast service- completely untrained staff! 20mins to get water/coffee. Front desk- No sense of hospitality and going the extra mile for the guests. Completely unlike MO service! Really need to upgrade their service.

When we complained about our room, outside the hotel premises, the hotel immediately changed us to a much nicer room. The staff is really very friendly and helpful (I had a medical problem and they did everything they could to get a specialist doctor). The bistro is nice to have lunch, the Aria restaurant maybe could offer a more refined kitchen but the pasta was good. The swimming pool is in fact a huge bath tub floating in the lake, the pool area offers a superb view on the lake. The hotel domain is very well maintained and the situation on the lake is excellent. Free shuttle service to Como town.

Absolutely gorgeous property with beautiful panoramic views of Lake Como. The staff provided immaculate service, the grounds were well maintained, the food was so delicious that we ate there for most of our stay! We felt very taken care of by the team from check-in to check-out. We also did a 4 hour boat tour which was 100% worth it. The captain was kind, funny and accommodating to our needs. I can't wait to be back again! Thank you to the team at Mandarin Oriental Lake Como for making it feel like a dream!

We have enjoyed our stay very much All staff were excellent, the concierge, front office , guest relation and the golf cart service. No complains at all, except when we asked for some room service, it was a bit delayed. Also, the breakfast buffet selection was a bit limited Otherwise all was great and we will come back again soon. Our overall rating would be 9

My partner and I stayed there in August, and got engaged! We were blown away by the rusty of the hotel and the grounds and of course the views. And further to that, your staff were fantastic. We loved every second of it. Thank you for helping make our stay special.

I expected more from the Mandarin Oriental. When we arrived there were major spider webs in the ceiling window. It took 2 days before they were cleaned up. The room was very comfortable however the chairs on the balcony were awful. The SPA and staff were Amazing!!! The hotel should consider transportation to Como. It is $100.00 round trip each time. There was confusion with the concierge staff and the COVID test appointment. The restaurants were slow and messed up a dinner reservation for us and did nothing to make it work.

For a people who are looking for luxury hotel and know the meaning of luxury hospitality this hotel isn’t the right choice. Hotel has nice view but the very poor bad service will ruin ur mood and vacation completely. Front desk hotel staff are not kind at all You also have to wait 2h to get hot milk to the room. You have to request for everything such as tooth brush and wait for long time to get it and call few times to follow up. Staff not well trained. Rooms are not so clean. not worth the price of it at all. Would be good as a 4*hotel. However the rooms are nice but not worth the price at all.

Absolutely lovely and amazing experience! Every single person we talked to, that helped us etc...everybody was genuinely very kind and professional. The hotel is located at a great spot with astonishing view. Service superb in all areas; from FO, concierge who took time to book a lovely restaurant for us, CO.MO and breakfast staff very friendly. Special thanks to Lorenzo for his nice advises, the tour of the hotel and his kindness. I will definitely come back very soon! Tank you once again for for making this stay even greater than it was supposed to be!

Extremely disappointing; Normally a fan of Mandarin Oriental, but our whole stay here was extremely irritating, and I expect not to be irritated when I'm paying €3,000 a night for a room (the most expensive hotel room I've ever paid for). Nothing like a Mandarin Oriental, much more like a Four Seasons (which I don't want to stay at); just a North American experience stuck on the side of a beautiful Italian lake. On the plus side, the tasting menu at the restaurant was unusual and excellent. Stayed at a nice Italian hotel on lake Maggiore a few days earlier, half the price, infinitely nicer and not irritating at all. Oh, and in a sure sign that the staff know that the experience isn't great for their customers, no-one even bothered to ask me whether I'd enjoyed my stay as I handed them ~€7.5k at checkout.

My husband and I are "Fans" of the Mandarin Oriental hotel group. This hotel is stunning, location, property, rooms, service and team... exceptional... if you are planning to go to Lake Como, this is the only hotel to stay in. It makes other well known ones, look and feel "tired". The spa is a joy, its pool which floats on the lake to the inside one, complete with the most amazing steam and sauna rooms. Note the steam room, looks like it was designed by "Paul Smith"... very cool... food and wine were delicious and a great selection. I told them what I liked and they matched the wine exactly. The room was stunning, very spacious and the views were amazing... ICONIC location matched perfectly to an ICONIC hotel... We look forward to our return..

For the amount of $$$$ paid the rooms were satisfactory. A little too traditional. You would probably do well with a mixture of both traditional and modern look. Also you need to update your heat & cooling systems. Rooms were extremely hot at nights. Almost making unbearable to sleep. Especially in the two level unit. Overall emenities were TOP notch. Serving staff was outstanding.

Wonderful stay! When leaving after one night only I felt like having 1 week of holidays. Service very friendly and genuine. Beatrice and Mario at the reception were amazing. The room was perfectly clean and arranged. The Spa and fitness team at reception and cleaning as well, so friendly and helpful. The spa is beautiful. Fitness and yoga room top notch. Delicious food at the restaurant and breakfast with great smiling service. Your property with the team is stunning, thank you for this unforgettable stay!

It has taken me too long to write this review, but our experience is so hard to put into words. We took our adult children (30, 32) and their S.O. here last July. We had 3 rooms, each one more breathtaking than the previous. The views, pool, restaurants(food), and spa services were nothing short of magnificent. Even the laundry service was impressive! What made this a phenomenal first leg of our trip (4 nights here) was the service and the people. Our first night there at dinner I fell down a flight of 4 steps ( my fault.) I was immediately provided with an ice pack, an ottoman to elevate my foot and a lot of attention, including offers of a hospital, doctor. One of my sons is a vascular surgeon and we just bandaged it up tightly. I didn’t want to miss a minute of our trip! With each time we ate at the hotel I received the same service - ice pack and ottoman, kindness and assistance. I continued through the 2 week trip bandaged every morning. I really believe it was the care and attention of the staff combined with being in the most beautiful place on earth that led my broken metatarsal to begin healing even before I went to MD 3 weeks later. Their check in process was so organized and their spa services fabulous. We will most certainly return. Our trip and ALL connections, reservations, transportation and activities were all perfectly planned by Valerie Crosson from Leaders in Travel, NYC. She did not plan my fall!!!!

Went there for the massage at the spa. The massage was okay not the best I’ve had at a Mandarin or elsewhere but the hotel facilities were beautiful especially the garden. It felt very secluded from everywhere else, so rather for people who don’t want to leave the hotel otherwise Como is gorgeous everywhere you go. Beautiful hotel that’s for sure and they have an infinity pool by the lake which is cool too.

There is so much to stay. I had asked a friend who lived locally, where the best place to stay in Lake Como was, and he said, hands down, the Mandarin Oriental. My wife and I ended our 2 week European/Italian road trip here, and it could not have exceeded out expectations more. The location and property is like nothing else around the lake. It's beautiful, secluded and breathtakingly beautiful. From the moment we arrived we were treated with such respect and hospitality. The day we arrived, we were lucky to enjoy a special Afternoon Tea gathering put on by the hotel. We met one of the planners from the MO London location, (where we will be staying next spring) and had a great conversation with him about the event. We ended up eating almost all of our meals at the hotel. The food was all fantastic with tons of recommendations from our wait staff. The second night there we enjoyed an amazing meal from the on site L~Aria. Delicious Italian/Asian cuisine and the staff again, was outstanding. We also took the opportunity to book a private boat tour of the lake through the concierge (high recommend, highlight of the trip, and great price for what was offered) and a shuttle to the town of Como. Really not enough can be said about this wonderful place. We are headed to Singapore in September, if we hadn't booked the Ritz already, I would 100% looked into the MO property. This experience was so great in fact, that I will go out of my way to find MO properties all over the world where we travel.

The terrace has a beautiful view over lake Como and the food is quite decent (albeit pricey) just make sure to make reservations in advance (unless you are staying at the hotel) as they don't take walk ins. There's a parking on the main road and then you need to walk about 5 min down a ramp to reach the location. If you need assistance there's also golf carts to take you up and down. The only thing is that the service was a bit slow especially when I entered I couldn't find anyone to speak to or seat us. Same for the water they keep it away from you but don't refill regularly

Amazing experience, thank you to the entire team for such wow stay and especially for looking after my family so well. Your beautiful resort has a great reputation but the real experience was even better.

Our stay was delightful! The room was very clean and spacious, and we loved our welcome gift for being "Fans of MO". The property is amazing, and the staff at the pool was attentive, however the restaurant service (the outside seating that overlooks the lake) was a little slow and we had to get up to find a server after being left for more than 20 minutes without anyone checking on us. Additionally, we were only there for 4 days, but it seemed like there was the same music every single day which got a little annoying after the second day. Overall, however, we had a lovely stay and the staff was very friendly and helpful, and the property was immaculate. Service to our room from housekeeping was excellent, and the car transfer they arranged to take us to and from the train station was easy and reliable. The property is very close to the town of Como which was nice, but pretty far from Bellagio so that's a trade off.

We have been lucky enough to stay in the best hotels around the world and I have to say that this one was by far the best experience ever. Impeccable service in any department and great attentions to details. Really the Best!!

Friendly and helpful staff Excellent views Clean and well equipped room. The swimming pool in the Spa area is gorgeous! Very relaxing and zen. One of the best even within mandarin oriental of other location. The infinity pool (outside) is also very good. Dine at the bistro, portion is little, food is alright. Vibe and view are excellent. Would consider visiting again for the pools in the Spa.

It is an unique place where to visit. What a beautiful world to say will be not enough. Perfect location and amazing views of the lake and the mountain, very beautiful garden, so colourful and rich. Welcoming, friendly and nice staff everywhere at Mandarin Hotel. And facilities are great. There, you can really spent an amazing and nice time, receive high level customer service and have unforgettable experience. So will be happy to go there again. Thanks to all people working there for their great job.

Out of all the high end hotels in Como, this really does stand out as the best hotel in my opinion. The customer service is the first thing that will blow your mind. Everyone was always smiling and was genuinely happy to work there. The view is incomparable as you’re right along the water. You do not have to cross the street to get to the lake, like most other grand hotels. The food is absolutely on parr with Michelin star restaurants. Overall, given the price you really do get the perfect experience for your money.

Mandarin Oriental just nail modern luxury every single time. Beautiful views and resort-style so you will be driven around in little buggies, so fun! As a young couple we far preferred MO to the old-school Grand hotel Tremezzo. Negatives were the limited food choices, consistently chaotic breakfast service and isolated location. The floating pool is truly a sight to behold and overall service excellent! All considered, I would absolutely return.

The hotel room, amenities, food, location etc. were excellent, and the bellboys in particular were very helpful and kind. The reason I have not given an excellent rating is related to the topic about which I complained repeatedly to the staff and they were not able to or willing to solve. There was a group of 6 guests (three couples) that were staying in the Vista Lago rooms below us and they were smoking marijuana all day on their terrace. The smell came onto our balcony continuously and we could barely sit outside or keep the door open, something we paid for. Apparently nothing could be done beyond asking them to be considerate, which they were not. This was after I made 2-3 complaints and there was usually no follow up from the staff providing me updates on the matter unless I asked. I was told that they could not prove for certain the guests were smoking drugs, but that explanation does not seem credible. They could have easily come to my room and seen them do it with their own eyes, if they chose to. Additionally, if any guest smoked in the room and damaged it you would charge them anyways for the damage without seeing them do it first hand. I am surprised that these guests were allowed to break both the hotel's regulations and Italian law openly on the property with no repercussions. My guess is that they were spending a lot of money and management was willing to put up with it at the expense of other guests. Anyways, overall I had a good time but I will likely not return to this property in the future.

Truly remarkable property on the lake. Expensive but they make it worth it. Everything from the front door greeting to the servers to the shuttle driver was 5 star. Amazing how well trained, attractive, and attentive was the team. High compliments to the management.

We had a wonderful stay at The Mandarin Oriental. The service was exceptional and the property was stunning. Our room was gorgeous with an amazing view. The concierge went out of their way to help us with transportation. Thank you to the entire staff for making our stay exceptional.

Everything you can expect from a palace. Everything was perfect, from the quality of the finishes in the lobby, in the rooms and in the restaurants as well. The decor of the hotel gives it a sumptuous charm. The staff is worthy of a palace, the perfect mix between friendly, helpful and professional. All in a breathtaking idyllic setting. I can only highly recommend this place out of time.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel on Lake Como and were absolutely delighted with our experience. The hotel itself is stunning, offering breathtaking views of the lake. What truly stood out for us, however, was the warmth and hospitality of the staff. Their attentive service and welcoming nature elevated our stay, making it an unforgettable experience. When you book with Mandarin Oriental, you always set high expectations, and I have to say that this exceeded our expectations.I absolutely recommend this hotel on Lake Como

The hotel is on a nice location, the service is excellent, the room is very nice, the pool is very different and cool, the water spa is amazing and available at all times. The food is pretty good. Beware that food and any services provided by the hotel are very expensive. Somewhat isolated if you don’t have a car, but they do offer a shuttle to Como.

Astonishing views! It’s a great hotel, luxury and service its outstanding as always from mandarin oriental. I would just suggest put clearer signs to move around the hotel, sometimes is confusing and you can get lost. Additionally we got “noticed” we need to leave the room at 12 while we were having breakfast at 9 am, as much as I appreciate the reminder its bad taste for someone come asking for you to tell you this. We knew we had the tour at 10 am and finishes at 13, its obvious we need yo leave the room empty before going. Again thanks for the reminder but try not to interrupt breakfast like is something urgent.

We have stayed at Mandarin before, albeit not at Lake Como. The approach to the main villa of the hotel is impressive and the welcome by the staff we interacted with was warm and polite. We were ‘upgraded’ to a room with a lake view, but have to be honest and say the room was totally underwhelming and looked and felt tired. The sofa had some staining and the rug in the sitting room was far from being clean. The bathrooms were clean and well presented though, and the wardrobes lacked enough cloth hangers. The bed was comfortable. We stayed for two nights and were woken by the sound of music playing at 7:30am, albeit we were not sure where it was coming from, on the second morning music woke us again at the same time and it turned out to be the hotels music playing on the terrace outside below. No doubt this is great for atmosphere in the afternoon, but at 7:30am when it is 8° outside - I think not. The shower also turned out to be slow, draining, and I brought this to the attention Housekeeping who corrected it whilst we were out. Overall, and underwhelming experience. The breakfast though was excellent as well as the service in the hotel is Main bar.

Amazing! From start to finish, our experience was far beyond anything we could have expected! Our beautiful suite was exceptional....cozy, comfortable, and very chic. The grounds and buildings are beautiful; such a nice blend of old world and new world. Food and drinks were delightful......the breakfast was incredible every morning. Marco in the restaurants was wonderful. Denise and Luca were exceptional. The Spa was incredible; Anna gave me the best massage and facial of my life. The boat ride, as part of our package, was a wonderful experience. Concierge was very accommodating and worked very hard to make all of our requests come to life, which they did! The guys at the front doing valet were fantastic as well. Hope to one day get back to this beautiful and secluded property.

Stunning property set amidst beautiful gardens - impressive how you've managed to keep it so intimate. The only reason why I've given a 9 is because the room felt a bit small and the cupboard drab and kitsch. Service, staff and food were impeccable - everyone was warm and friendly, polite and attentive. Food was delicious throughout.

MO Lake Como was everything we expected it to be and more! Our private terrace suite was stunning in every way and much larger than we had expected, and the staff was beyond exceptional! We can’t thank them enough for how amazing each and every one of them were…especially Enrico the front desk manager. I had planned to propose to my partner on a private boat one of the days we were there, however it got rained out. And Enrico, the concierge, and almost the entire staff helped me pivot and come up with an alternative plan that worked beautifully and was the most amazing private setting to propose. All of them helped out to make it very special! They are the best! They even kept the bar open well past closing time so we could enjoy several bottles of champagne with some friends we met there, without even a hint of annoyance to how late we were keeping them. This is truly a stunning property and phenomenal staff and we will definitely be back often! Thank you MO!

Beautiful hotel with incredible views. We stayed in the main building in a 2 story flat and we could not have been more pleased with the room. Every angle of the room had spectacular views. The pool at the hotel is also set on the lake, and is breathtaking. My only complaint and why the hotel didn’t receive 5 stars, is their restaurant staff. While all other staff at the hotel is extremely professional- the food and beverage staff seems does not seem well trained. They appeared confused, lost and very often delayed. Otherwise beautiful hotel and property.

  • 3/5 J K. 2 years ago on Google
Staffing needs a lot of work. Even some locals agreed who had been to the restaurant and cafe. They don’t seem to communicate well and are lacking training. However, the property is really nice. The room we stayed in was in the main building and was very classy. Better than I expected. Good views. Really nice room. The entire hotel property was really classy and nice. The valet staff were really nice. Food was pretty good. Overall, really nice hotel. I think they just need more staff training after COVID.

Possible the best Mandarin Oriental hotel I experienced, it is in the top 3 with Tokyo and London. Truly amazing experience from extremely kind and pleasant staff in an excellent location. I usually am very critical but only found very small improvement points for this hotel, although I would prefer calling it not a hotel but an experience at this level. The balance the staff was able to deliver between servicing my wife and myself and being open and talkative was a very nice experience. The flexibility possible in last minute changes but also suggesting items was really nice. Overal this is an experience I can suggest to everyone! Thank you for making this a truly amazing experience for my wife and myself.

Last weekend we had lunch at Mandarin Oriental restaurant. The hotel complex is amazing, overlooking the beautiful lake of Como, very well maintained. We are a family with two little boys (2 and 4yo), we got picked up upstairs by a futuristic looking golf cart and brought down to the restaurant. The welcome was warm and we got a nice table. We had to wait quite some time till someone came to take an order. I even had to walk to the counter to ask again the lady who showed us a table and was responsible for taking orders. For a location of such high quality, I would have expected a more courteous service. I was considering to take down two stars however other personnel who served us food was friendly. The food was delicious, as well as the rosé we paired with it. We might come back again when we visit Como lake next time.

Just as magnificent as you would imagine! One of the most beautiful places I’ve had the honor to see. The staff is simply impeccably amazing, truly the best people in the business! The food is unexplainable marvelous, I can’t find words to describe it.

I travel extensively all over the world for both business and pleasure. I have to tell you the Mandarin Oriental at Lake Como is truly exceptional!!! The property location, design and views are magnificent. However, it is the staff that really create an exceptional experience for your guests. From the moment you arrive, the team goes above and beyond to ensure you feel welcome and at ease. I stayed at the property a few years ago when it was Casta Diva. I loved it when it was a unique boutique hotel. I was a little concerned that with a large brand like Mandarin Oriental, it would loose the intimate feel of the property. I am happy to report that the hotel experience was even better than the time before! The staff is very well trained and it shows in everything they do. Well done!! If I have an international event in the future, MO Lago di Como will be my first choice.

It's all very pleasant, calm and nice. The staff try their best to help where possible. Even though our big villa was ample, it was minimal. Not much in the way of character. Obviously the lake view was nice but not really the WOW factor you might expect on Lake Como.

Perfect in every way! the friendly staff, the delicious food, the atmosphere. Our room was spectacular and the view of the lake just stunning. Loved the Tesla option to Como. Concierge was always helpful and the bar tender was fun to watch - his cocktails always spot on. The linens, the spa, the gym - superb.

For me, the experience at the MO Lake Como hotel was special. It is for the first time that I felt what a truly luxury vacation means. Only in movies have I seen such an atmosphere and such a beautifully arranged space. Every moment lived in that place was magical and I felt like I was dreaming. I want to thank the person who presented me to the lake on the boat tour because he gave me a lot of relevant information about the locations and the area. Unfortunately, I was disappointed by the fact that at such a hotel the housekeeping staff do not speak or understand English. because of this I gave the staff a 5. I asked one of them to bring me a toothpaste to my room when he made my room and when I returned to the room, after 3 hours there was no toothpaste there because he didn't understood. Also, the fact that in the whole hotel there is no doctor available 24/24 at the prices charged and you do not have the right to offer medicines to clients seems to me a rather big minus.

We have stayed at the Mandarin Oriental, Lake Como twice now and it was a superb experience both times! The staff are friendly, attentive, professional and very helpful. Besides one of the most beautiful settings for a hotel in one of the most beautiful places on earth, the staff are really what makes it a true 5 star experience. The food is excellent and the menu at the Como Bar Bistro offers a good selection of dishes. We will be back!

I have been managing concert tours for over 50 years and I have never stayed at a better, more beautiful property than this. The location, ambiance, attention to detail and level of the staff's excellence is unsurpassed. Anna Fejzo handled our group and she was simply amazing; every request fulfilled beyond expectations, every detail executed perfectly, and the entire team at the hotel truly deserves a five star rating. This is a beautiful hotel and location. Room was as large as an apartment and well appointed although a bit dated. Food for breakfast was decent. Pool area was floating on the lake which was very cool but showing its age, particularly the hot tub part. Drink service was spotty at best and some drinks had little alcohol in them. The drinks were very expensive at up to $24.00 a drink. For that price, I would expect a drink that is larger and well put together but many were not. Nobody asked us what we wanted to drink or eat at the pool. We had to ask for drinks. The room had a shower that did not properly drain. Nobody explained the elevator system to us upon arrival. We figured out ourselves that you could access the room from the garage on day three. The grounds are incredible and the views are spectacular but our patio was blocked by plantings so you could not see the lake from the lounge chairs. When we arrived at the boat dock for our tour, the food/wine was not there. We had to wait a half hour for it to arrive and this shortened our trip. We were compensated a bit but the experience was certainly not five star. We were given a credit and a $15.00 bottle of wine. The hotel is definitely worth visiting but for the prices being charged, I would expect better on the service side of things.

We had the most wonderful stay! This property in Lake Como is stunning. Everyone working at the hotel is so nice and helpful. The rooms are beautiful. I loved the food. I 100 percent recommend this hotel. I will be trying other Mandarin Oriental hotels now. Such a lovely experience.

We have stayed at many of the best hotels, this one exceeded all of them. We felt like they were reading our minds, if that makes sense. Whether it was something to eat, drink or wanted to venture out they planned the ride and restaurants on there own. Accommodations were exceptional. All the people in every area working there were exceptional. There is not one negative I can say. Very relaxing, quiet vacation like we wanted.

Been to many hotels - even many five star hotels - but MO was a step beyond. The adjoining rooms (one for my two teenage daughters and one for my wife and I) were the amongst the nicest I have ever seen. Best shower ever. Floating pool and spa. Would highly recommend.

Where do I begin? The history this hotel is magnificent. Originally this property was privately owned by an opera singer, then passed to a well renowned family, and currently now 5 star hotel business. This hotel is a short walk from my holiday villa in Torno, a perfect way to aperitif! Staff spoke fluent English, had excellent professionalism, and escorted me to the bar and bathroom with a smile. Highly recommend for an afternoon delight or better yet—overnight experience!

Overall my husband and I had a great experience for our 10 year wedding anniversary. Highlights were view, grounds, pool, spa, and FOOD/SERVICE at restaurants/bar. Areas for improvement would be cost per night, service in pool area, lack of concierge/checkin/checkout staff. Deborah at the spa was truly amazing and all of the spa staff were terrific. We especially liked COMO bar and bistro food and drinks and staff. One last constructive criticism: the Concierge was not responsive until a couple of weeks prior to the booking which affected our restaurant options.

The Mandarin at Lake Como was the perfect way to start our honeymoon. We were greeted with celebratory Prosecco and were treated with such hospitality throughout our stay. The property is gorgeous, rooms are clean and comfortable, food is divine and they were well informed with what could be made gluten free (they even made fresh baked gluten free bread!), the spa is relaxing, and the people are wonderful. We even met some fellow guests and enjoyed cocktails at the bar. A beautiful place to connect, relax and enjoy. Couldn’t recommend anywhere more highly!

Five star hotel located 15 minutes drive from Como Wright in front of the lake . The road to the hotel very narrow you have to be careful when driving. Very high standard hotel .Nice for short breaks

Not the best MO I have stayed at. View and location is stunning. The rooms are nice. Extremely clean and comfortable, exactly as expected. Unfortunately that is where the ”good” stops. None of the amenities and services are ever available and are all fully booked. The restaurants are booked, the sun beds at the pool are fully booked, the boats are all fully booked, even the hotel cars needs to be booked way in advance. 2 days before it seems. If you do get a table whether for breakfast, lunch or dinner, service takes forever and is very slow and inefficient. Attention to guest is nonexistent. Staff walks avoiding guests eye contact and in a straight line as if they are in the military. One would think that a property with 77 rooms would have enough staff to accommodate the number of guest. I would assume that paying €3000 a night would get you at least an “okay” service but I am proven wrong. The concierge is extremely unhelpful and confused. Though understandably the facilities were fully booked, no other alternatives or suggestions were offered. We are met with blank stares and silence each time we are told the boats or car rides are fully booked.

Our stay was wonderful - wish we could have stayed longer! Staff is very polite, attentive to detail and accommodating. If there is anything I could remark on, is that we found some food items and the spa to be quite expensive for european standards (...i mean a pizza night at 100$ per head??) but other than that, it was great. We hope to return in the future with our baby :)
