We went to an amazing Murder Mystery dinner. The atmosphere and the dinner were fantastic. The actors were very believe able and you felt a part of the event. I would highly recommend The Hostess Restaurant and will be going again

Had our Christmas party last night, we had a really nice meal ,service was brilliant. The atmosphere was brilliant, we all had a really good laugh..would highly recommend to have your Christmas party here.

Oh the roast beef is always good... but it was even better this week. Always good, polite table service and good value.

Went for a meal here for hen doo reunion. 3 course meal was very tasty. Service was great too. Thanks to all the staff. What I didn't like was the fact that children were there running around shouting and screaming across the room. Their parents were too busy enjoying themselves to respect other people. This could have ended badly. I nearly got crashed into twice carrying drinks from the bar to the table. Also they were still there at 10.45pm when we left! This ruined it for me and it was the reason we left early. I was expecting an adult only night.

Nice little find off the beaten track called in for a cuppa after a walk near our home in Mansfield Woodhouse will definitely go back to try the food as the menu looked good 👍

A dinner dance with friends was a really enjoyable evening. Friendly service at the bar and an excellent three course meal. Busy venue with a great atmosphere!

Great place to eat. The food was great and the service was really good with friendly helpful staff. The bar has a selection of drinks, beers, etc. Car parking is free to. Toilets were clean too.

They are really friendly and very helpful. I'm in a wheelchair and nothing is too much trouble for them. The carvery is really nice. The meat just melts in your mouth 😋. I would definitely recommend them to others

We have visited the Hostess carvery several times over the last month, the food is terrific fantastic service and lovely staff I cannot recommend this wonderful restaurant enough.

Had my 30th here and attended a 80's theme night both evenings were great. Good food and entertainment would return and recommend 😁

Thankyou to the staff of the Hostess for a delicious meal and a 'dance the night away' Motown disco. From kitchen staff to Managers they work tirelessly to make it a special experience every time. It really is the best local venue for any occasion.

Came here for our good friends wedding. The bar area was lovely and comfy. However the function room had been decorated beautifully and the food was out of this world. We have never seen so much food being given at a wedding. All 3 courses were of a high standard and exceptional quality. Lets say you would definitely not leave hungry. Staff were very friendly. There was also plenty of parking for guests.

Wonder staff, brilliant food. We had our wedding here 10 years ago and still keep coming back. We love it.

Went on their party night. Food was absolutely delicious and plenty of it how they cater for large tables and everything was fresh and hot is a mystery but definitely value for money. Staff very friendly and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Would recommend the Hostess to anyone wanting good food great atmosphere. Thank you for a lovely evening.

Went to afternoon tea. Food lovely. Service OK. Reasonably attentive. The age range is definitely meant for those 65 and above. I won't be going again.

A wonderful venue for that special meal, ample free parking, wheelchair friendly with car parking. Great staff on hand. Great as a wedding reception venue.

This was a last minute decision for myself and my husband, we chose it because it had good reviews and was close to us in Shirebrook. We went on a Sunday, they do 3 courses for £18. The portion sizes are generous, so it's definitely excellent value for money. We took advantage of the 3 courses and we were stuffed, the roast beef dinner is a recommendation from me. We will definitely be returning.

We had a 60th Birthday party there. It was very busy and the staff were truly excellent. Starters were good as were desserts but the beef and gammon I had were quite tasteless but for the sauces I had put on. The vegetables at the carvery were tasty and not overcooked. All in it is a reasonably priced meal but not somewhere I will eat again. Another congratulations to the excellent staff though.

Fabulous afternoon tea today. With great entertainment. Loved that they accommodated my vegan food request couldn't have asked for a nicer plate of food.

My first time ever here and i wasn't disappointed, the food is superb! Plus there are a lot of options they will see to your every need Nothing is too much trouble and the staff are very well mannered . Highly Recommend.
