The Leicester is a wonderful B&B. One of the best we have ever stayed in. The attention to every detail is top level and Cliff went above and beyond to make us feel at home. We loved this place and will go back when in the area no doubt.

Very kind and helpful hosts, rooms are comfortable with special touches like bottled water and chocolates. Waterfront very close and local bars and shops within a short walking distance. As for the breakfast all I can say is exemplary.

Decided on here after reading other reviews. What a gem of a place, The room we had was lovely and typical of the other rooms I would imagine. All well decorated and clean and the first place i have stopped in that had a smart tv as well. The dining area was very nice too. We had a full breakfast which was excellent. Hosts Cliff and Jayne made us feel very welcome. Would highly recommend and we will stop here again. For a small guest house, it has the feel of a very nice expensive hotel, and deserves 5 stars or 5 rosettes at the very least. Only a few minutes walk from the top end of the shopping in Lord Street and a great place to stop for a stay in Southport.

A very friendly welcome. My room was clean, well furnished, well equipped and nicely decorated. The bed was very comfortable. I had the full English breakfast which was freshly cooked. delicious and filling. Nothing was too much trouble for Cliff and he made one feel like a very welcome guest. It's location is a quiet street very handy for Lord street and Southport.

Could not and would not want to fault this place. I had a meeting for the next morning and got up a little late so I had to skip breakfast, but it looked delicious from the couple that was already eating. My room was spotless, the bathroom washing facilities were sanitized and so clean. The sheets felt fresh and bed was comfy. It was warm but not too hot. Felt safe as a sole female. Will stay for pleasure next time.

Lovely clean rooms. Friendly staff great service. Breakfast fry up was delicious, bacon and sausage very tasty! With an extensive breakfast menu. Will be returning. Lynn, Ange, Ant, Turtle, Ange, Brian and Mini. Thanx for the hospitality xx

This is the second time I have stayed at The Leicester in two years and I cannot recommend their services more highly! The rooms are the height of cleanliness with great amenities, staff are friendly, flexible and accommodating, breakfast is FABULOUS, location and parking are great - this is truly the only place to stay while in the area. Cliff and Jayne know how to make a work trip feel like a home away from home and I cannot wait to stay with them again next year!

We stay at the Leicester every year on our annual trip to Birkdale and the rooms are exceptional. A great breakfast and friendly staff make this a super choice for your visit to Southport.

My husband and I stayed 2 nights at The Leicester for the air show. What a fabulous b & b, a great and friendly welcome from owner Cliff a lovely guy and Baxter too. Room was so clean as was the whole place, Breakfast was fabulous, quality food and great service. Well done to Cliff and Karen for running a great, value for money b&b thank you. Will definitely be back again. Roy and Sue Holland
