I have been remiss posting a review following our stay at Bowden house in August. We had such a wonderful time - one of THE most beautiful places we've ever stayed. The house and grounds are lovely, and the views were outstanding. Moreover, our host was so accommodating and delivered every morning a delicious breakfast and tips for our stay. I would highly recommend - and the Borders are so beautiful with so many sites to visit (all within short driving distance) as well as very nice local restaurants. Can't wait to visit again and stay at Bowden House.

We had a perfect weekend away staying at Bowden House whilst we explored the Borders. We received a very warm welcome from our hosts who looked after us very well during our stay, proving great suggestions about what to see and where to eat. The house was gorgeous and our room was really lovely, spotlessly clean with a large comfortable bed and stunning views across the beautiful Borders countryside. The breakfast was excellent too. Uta and Jason were wonderful hosts and we can't recommend them highly enough. We will definitely be coming back.

We loved Bowden House! A beautiful house in a stunning setting! We felt welcome and were well taken care of. The house is lovely and comfortable, the gardens immaculate and peaceful. Uta is a great cook and hostess! Her suggestion to take the train to Edinburgh was a blessing!! We will definitely be back!!

A lovely welcome with tea on the terrace looking out on the beautiful surrounding countryside. A comfortable room with the same view, and the availibility of a lighter duvet! Good, individually prepared breakfast. Advice and maps for walks available. Uta even booked our dinner. Thank you
