My husband and I go for afternoon tea quite regularly and we always like trying new places, we went to the midland over Christmas and I can say honestly that leckenbys is FAR superior. The sandwiches are tasty and delicate. Scones made to perfection and the cakes are beautiful with perfect portions. Thank you so much we really enjoyed it!

Back again to this lovely cafe. As usual we are greeted with a warm welcome and a smile. Food and service is excellent, very clean with a calming and well thought out decor, which is wheelchair friendly. Shelves at the till, which sell products from local businesses to show their community spirit. No wonder this cute cafe has won awards. Thanks again for a relaxing breakfast, which is anything but ordinary.

Found here by random chances, because we were trying to hide from the rain showers outside, gladly walked into this lovely tea room for a rest, got the signature Leckenbys Hot Chocolate with cream and marshmallows, also got the afternoon tea set, comes with scones, cream cheese, strawberry jam, and the cakes specials. Everything is fine, tastes fantastic and the staff are very nice and friendly, introduced the menu to us very patiently, definitely had a pleasant time during our stay at this beautifully decorated tea room, love it so much indeed !

The location, in a modern mall, looks unpromising, but once inside Leckenby's itself the surroundings and the service have style and sophistication. The menu is limited, but well done. The range and quality of coffees and teas on offer is good, but the variety is small by comparison to "Betty's" in York and Harrogate. Cakes etc. are also available to take away and were very good quality. Sunday lunch is served on Sunday.

My wife and I always visit here because the food and service is second to none. We come from Stockport and its an absolute treat to visit Leckenbys, Its run by Jean and her daughter with good staff, it's always spotlessly clean and the food is outstanding. We highly recommend it. Anthony and Linda Byrne.

Always call in here when we shop in Bury as it has a great atmosphere and although we don't eat the coffee is hot and delicious. Only slight downside is the wait if it is very busy but for us this isn't really a problem. Nice pleasant staff as well.

Visited here today, food was amazing, i got the quiche and salad. Tea was loose leaf and served in china pots. Nothing was too much trouble for the servers who were so pleasant and polite. Will definitely visit again

Absolutely love this quaint place in Bury. The waitress meets you and then shows you to your table always smiling, hands your menu. Never had a bad meal here food always tasty and hot lovely toasted tea cakes I had hot buttered crumpets and my husband had a hot buttered tea cake. Coffee and the most enjoyable cup of proper tea with leaves in strainer in your tea pot a proper good cup of tea. Always busy too. Love this place please keep it as it is, don't change anything like everyone else. Just perfect as you are. Thanking you for our great experience as always 💓

After reading a review of Leckenbys I booked Afternoon Tea for me and my friend. I needed to change an item which I was not keen on and it wasn't an issue. The sandwiches and cakes were absolutely delicious and it was one of the best Afternoon Teas we have had. I opted for the one with Presecco but my friend had to order hers because for some strange reason the Vegetarian tea didn't come with it. Again it wasn't an issue. We were also given a choice of tea and coffee but I don't drink either so was able to have a cold drink at no extra charge. Whilst we were there we noticed the food that other people were having and it all looked very nice. I have passed Leckenbeys many times and have never been in until last Tuesday but would highly recommend going for Afternoon Tea or just a bite to eat. The staff were very friendly, helpful and efficient.

Beautifully presented Coffee Shop in the Shopping Centre in Bury. Nice coffee but expensive cakes at £4.95 a slice! No alternative to dairy milk either (which my friend cannot have).

Disappointing.. £57 yesterday for 2 paninis, lemon meringue pie, fishcake and 6 drinks. I think the drinks made up around £23 of the bill and not being rude, we can afford to eat out, but was expecting a lot better with the milkshakes. We ordered two and couldn’t believe it when they were served to us. The milk wasn’t even chilled, it was as though it had just been poured into the glass after being left out of the fridge for a while and they tasted as though they were made with Nesquik or Crusha, just with a strawberry planted on the top of the glass! £3.95 for a milkshake that looks and tastes as though it has been made from one of the aforementioned is simply extortionate! We were expecting something at least resembling a Costa/Patisserie Valerie style one; at least their prices can be justified to a certain degree, because you feel as though you are getting something for your money. You really do either need to improve your milkshakes to warrant the price or remove them from your menu.

Very pleasant - only wanted a snack and chose crumpets, once with cheese and the other red onion . Delicious !! Well cooked ! Perfect coffee/tea. Attentive staff.
