Beautiful place to visit the path around the reservoir is long so would make for around 2 hour good walk. This is forrest type areas with a nice sea front. Parking is slightly hard though.

lovely, but muddy depending on weather in last few days, walk around the reservoir, excellent views, good for dogs and bikes, and we even saw families with buggies and prams, some of the benches are a little past there best, but walk a little further to find the next one, The views are great from the dam at the south end but also the bridges at the north and north east where you can view the viaduct for the trains

Lovely views of the reservoir as you walk the track around it. Great walk for dogs as well.

Lovely dog walking space. Clean and tidy. Love the extra dog poo bags on the fence. Really good idea.

Wayoh Reservoir dates back to 1876 and is a lovely location for a walk. You can walk right the way around the reservoir in a leisurely hour, it can get a little muddy in some parts when the weather is wetter. At the south east end of it there is the Black Bull Inn and just up a hill from the north west there is the Strawbury Duck, both worth a visit. The reservoir doesn't have a car park (if you need that then better to head to Entwistle instead) but both pubs have car parks.
