Went for Sunday fry up....NOT GOOD. Cafe was empty...should have walked out then as an empty cafe tells you something. Ordered a breakfast for me and 2 poached eggs on toast for the wife. My breakfast came(Β£6.25 for a fatty mess and rationed portion size). We waited 25 mins after for the wife's poached eggs and mushrooms on toast. It finally arrived with no mushrooms and eggs weren't cooked properly. They have filled up the "heinz" tomato ketchup bottles with cheap nasty vinegar catering ketchup so be careful if you prefer the proper stuff. Wont be going back. And then charged Β£14 for s*** service and food. AVOID

A child friendly cafe with welcoming staff and owners; who went above and beyond to make me and my little one comfortable. The full English breakfast was nice and I enjoyed the coffee β˜• The 2 cute bunnies at the back of the cafe we're an added bonus πŸ‡

Awful breakfast. Fried eggs were burnt(?) and solid! No yoke. Left the sausage. Heinz tomato sauce bottles filled with vinegary substitute. Felt totally ripped off. What has happened here? New ownership?

Good service and food. We felt it was a cafe trying to be a tea room. It did smell heavily of fried food which clung to our clothes. Had run out of scones by late lunch time. The owners could pick up some tips by visiting the Richmond tea room in manchester. We didn't like the bright stripped lights nor choice of music. Sorry we didn't think there was enough atmosphere, it takes more than chintz.

Have always liked this cafe which is tucked away on Houghton Lane next to the hairdressers. Lunches, afternoon teas and cakes- what more could you ask for. Quirky, nostalgic decour and friendly staff. One negative - very cold inside. I can understand the cost of heating a room as large as this tea room but the temperature did spoil my visit today.

I ordered the large breakfast off Uber eats and it was hands down the best breakfast I’ve ever had. I didn’t want the mushrooms, black pudding or tomato and they gave me extra bacon and hash browns instead, even wrote a note on the packaging. everything was really nicely cooked, even packaged the toast separately so it wouldn’t be soggy when it arrived, when it did arrive it was really warm and fresh! Really really impressed and would definitely order again, πŸ‘πŸΌπŸ˜Š

The service was very rushed and wasn't very approachable. The breakfast that I ordered was okay but very fatty however my friend ordered the chicken Kiev. The chicken was still raw in the middle.

Visited many times & never had a bad experience. Lovely little play corner for children. Also had an afternoon tea baby shower for a friend not long ago, after the new owners took over. They did a fantastic job & having the place to ourselves worked perfectly. Thank you!

This is a lovely tea shop for which I have no hesitation to recommend for you to try. There's a great range of freshly prepared snacks available together with a full selection of teas and coffees. The decor is quirky and eclectic, my only (personal) observation is that the lighting is a bit too 'severe' for my liking. That said it does not put me off from returning. Oh, and there is plenty of on street parking.

A great little find in Swinton, Salford. Had heard of it by reading internet reviews and we weren't disappointed. Staff were friendly and helpful which was lovely. Tea served in mismatched China & Pottery, which was a nice touch. Filter coffee (Americano ! ) was extremely good but the 🌟 🌟 of the show were the fruit scone and the Carrot cake. Both homemade and I have to say the Carrot cake was the best we'd ever tasted : moist, light in texture and the taste was sublime. In fact, I could have eaten another piece as it was so good.πŸ˜€ Pop in, we're sure you won't be disappointed. Tranquilitea is based at 20 Houghton lane, Swinton M27 0FQ. Open 7 days a week.: Apart from : Sunday 9.30 - 1.00 pm and Monday 9.30 - 2.00pm, each day is 10.00 - 4.00 pm

Tucked away from busy main roads, this lovely eatery serves homemade delicious savoury and sweet foods. Always have specials for the day. A large selection of teas and fresh coffee. Much prefer popping in here for lunch than giving service to the big chains. Support local businesses always.

Had lunch here today fish and chips had eaten half when I noticed something in the batter of the fish on closer inspection found it to be a piece of a metal scourer complained but was told sorry weve been cleaning friers today not good enough when we went to pay didn't even offer us a discount disgusted wont eat there again.🀬
