Take a step back in time with this wonderful building. I was pleasantly surprised by the choice of food on offer and even more so by how delicious it was and the portion sizes! Highly recommend a visit to this hidden gem. Luxury afternoon tea available but requires pre booking

It's a lovely place for a quiet gentle stroll, either with your dogs or children. That's a small lake with ducks and other wildlife. Lots of trees. Places to sit and reflect. The cafe is there so you can have refreshments, coffee and cake and light meals. Dogs are allowed in the courtyard but not inside the cafe. So bear in mind when it's raining, snowing or really cold you will have to sit outside.

Everytime i visit this place the food is always really nice. I would recommend ringing ahead and booking for lunch as it is a very popular little cafe and always busy around lunchtime.

Along with two colleagues we went to the tea rooms for teas and coffee however on seeing the quality and atmosphere of the place we had a meal too. Super food, brilliant staff at a fair cost. Recommend it to anyone that cares to ask.

Lovely tearooms... cakes...breakfast etc, set in a historical part of astley, nearby a pond and nature trail, popular with dog walkers and nature spotters

Treated to a luxury afternoon tea. Good table service. Tasty sandwiches and large delicious scones. Small cakes were a little disappointing- appeared to have been defrosted as sponge was soggy. Will visit again to try some of the varied menu.

Fabulous. Car parks not very clear. One on right then one behind the building. Tea room entrance at the front of the building. Called on spec today early lunch. The majority of tables reserved but I did manage to find a seat. Had the special turkey dinner. Hot traditional and excellent. Reasonably priced. Pot of tea for one which gives you more than one cup. Staff friendly, courteous and quick service. Going next week for afternoon tea for a friend's birthday. Worth a visit. Only small though

Friendly, relaxed, old-fashioned style café. I had poached salmon salad and the portion of salmon was very generous. I shall be returning and won't hesitate to recommend the place to anyone. It is very popular and you need to book.

Food was very good. A good selection of excellent salads. Staff very friendly and good atmosphere. Can be a bit noisy because wooden floor and no curtains to deaden the noise of chat. Very impressive fireplace.

I have been here before, but it was the first time I had brought my friend who liked it very much. The meal was lovely, and the service was great.

Our large party was catered for with no hassle. We had prebooked which is a must for a large party. Service was very good and not too long to wait from ordering to serving. Reasonable menu with salads, sandwiches etc. and larger meals to choose from. Was busy which meant it was also quite noisy but this didn't impede on conversations. Was that good we're going back next month!! Thank you.

A lovely tea room set in beautiful grounds. The staff were friendly and helpful and clearly took great pride in their jobs. The food was very fairly priced and delicious. We had afternoon tea that exceeded out expectations. The scones were delicious and I would highly recommend them. I'll be visiting again.

Situated in a beautiful woodland setting with a small housing estate arround the edge, a lovely place to wander and take photos enjoying the birds and ducks. The food is very well presented and apportioned, seating is cosy and pricing is moderate. Drink selection can vary throughout the seasons and there are a choice of classic cakes for desert. Service was speedy and very friendly. Definitely worth a visit, take a short detour and eat here instead of Bents if you're planning to go to the garden centre.

Interesting tea house, old fashioned close by. The coffee was great and the panini sandwich with fries very delicious. Place very busy , we went there on a Sunday, most tables were reserved for different time slots.

I was not impressed. Expensive, enough staff to do table service but when we arrived they just stared at us and stood around talking. No menus my daughter went to the counter to order and when they brought our drinks, she didn't even smile. Not a welcoming place.

We regularly visit the tea room and recommend it to everyone! We'd advise booking for lunch, particularly at weekends because it's so popular. They offer breakfast in the morning and the lunch menu starts at 12:00. You can also book in advance for afternoon tea. It's a breastfeeding friendly location and there's room for prams. There's also an accessible toilet/changing area available. The menu includes sandwiches, paninis, baguettes, soup, burgers, daily specials and a range of cakes, traybakes and tarts. The food is lovely and the staff provide good service. We'll continue to be regular visitors here!
