I went to Kildonan House surgery yesterday to speak to a Dr as this was my first appointment with an actual Dr at this surgery since moving from the Wirral. I had lung cancer a few years ago and since moving back to Bolton due to a marriage break up I registered with this surgery. I am now in remission, but should be having CT scan and blood tests regularly every 3 months. However my referral to the local Oncology unit doesn't seem to be getting picked up yet. Therefore I have not had any of these tests for some time now. I went in today to ask that this was chased up and saw a Dr Saheed. However she didn't seem to be interested in listening to me and kept talking over me, interrupting me at every opportunity. I asked about my repeat prescription of a controlled drug not being available at this surgery when it was at my previous surgery and she did they just wouldn't do it, then when I asked for a prescription of oramorph, she disappeared to speak to the pharmacist for about 5 to 7 mins, when she returned I wanted to discuss other issues I am having and she said her time was up and I should make another appointment. After she had wasted most of my time talking with the pharmacist. And when I went to the receptionist to ask for another appointment, she said I should ring back in the morning at 8am to arrange another appointment, when the Dr asked to me arrange another appointment wth the receptionist. Overall I had a terrible experience with a Dr with no bedside manner and have been left with more anxiety about my conditions than I went in with!! I would not recommend this surgery at all and I am thinking of moving to another surgery. Look, I know the GPs are a little overworked at the moment, but when I go in with general concerns, I don't expect to be treated like cattle and fobbed off and made to feel I am not being listened to, just because they have a set time to see everyone. When any one of my issues could be connected to another, they should take the time to listen to their patients full spectrum of issues as they maybe related!!

My girlfriend tried to call about a rash all over our 4 month old baby, but couldn't get through as the phone was engaged. So we rang 111 and they did an over the phone assessment and told us to ring the GP again. 36 phone calls later they answered. The receptionist have zero people skills and the doctors aren't interested. The doctor told my girlfriend they didn't know what the rash was, but thought it was an allergic reaction to something. He then prescribed our baby with an antihistamine, and when we checked the box it catagorigally said do not give this medicine to baby's under 12 months old. This isn't the first time that this surgery has made mistakes or been rude to us, I'm not one to usually complain but a doctors surgery should be a place of trust and help, but this place is beyond a joke considering they have people's health/lives in their hands.

Can't get through no matter what time of day when you finally do they are rude and unhelpful like it's an inconvenience you phoning. The doctors are just as bad ask you what you think is wrong thank god for Google to aid with self diagnosis. Then ask what you want them to do like you know the options and things available on how to proceed to find out a diagnosis. More interested in pushing more and more pills than getting to the route of the problem. Doctors then hang up phone calls abruptly before you have even finished what you wanted to ask! I work tonnes of extra hours due to staffing crisis in an extremely difficult environment and don't speak to or treat people the way these guys do

If you can sign yourself up to a different surgery, i would strongly advise that you opt for the other options. No wonder they never have doctors appointments available, it taken 30 minutes and 2 doctors to prescribe me allergy tablets and eye drops that I have had several times previously and then I waited 20 minutes for them to send the prescription to their in-house chemist which he failed to do so, the receptionist then had to call the doctor and tell him to print the prescription and bring it through to the front of the surgery. All together I spent 1 hour in the building to get items I’ve previously had. Not to forget the 5 appointments I’ve had previously for stomach issues and promised a scan that I am yet again having to have another appointment to request this ‘promised’ scan. Constantly fobbed off and I am never confident in the ‘diagnosis’. Creds to the receptionists for their wonderful patience with their incompetent colleagues.

Unfortunately one if the worst GP ever, my family and I been 7 years with them, we never got the right treatments with them, they never answered the phone. 90% of their doctors are useless and clueless and we always ended up go to after hours and mainly referred to water meetings Heath center which is most of the time the best doctors we find their with the right treatments. This was the case over 7 years with myself, wife and two kids. If there was less than 1 start will not save it for them.

Dont bother signing up with this surgery I have had nothing but problems with them. My brother needed an urgent visit from doctor took 1 hour to get through and receptionist was a know it all. Told me if he had only just come out of hospital then Ring ward or ambulance. I totally lost my temper with her for first time in years!!! Finally doctor rang him and called an ambulance. It's not the doctors it's the know it all rude receptionists!!!

This practice is appalling, I was asked to go for my blood pressure check at the end of April, the nurse said it was high, so put me on tablets for a 2 weeks trial , when I collected my prescription from the pharmacy they said the pharmacist would ring me in a couple of days time to check I was OK as it was a new medication for me, I heard nothing and still hadn't until 2 days ago, when I received a text to have my routine blood pressure test, I went along and explained I'd taken the previous prescribed tablet and since heard nothing, the nurse was apologetic and said she pass my concerns on to the practice. I then received a text informing me my cholesterol levels were low and I needed statins, she put the prescription into the pharmacy who then rang me the day after, saying my levels were fine and I didn't need any medication, the text must of been sent in error... I have no faith in this surgery at all.

My father passed away last Thursday, and since then I've been waiting for Kildonan house to inform me that they finished thier medical certificate , without this I cannot get a death certificate. They have made an already horrific experience 1 million times worse! I'm disgusted and will be complaining and reporting the surgery. I've phoned and chased them up all day and have received no reply!

Have been using this practice since I was born. Wouldn't wipe my bum on it now. Had the same nurse for 20 odd years and unfortunately she left. Never felt comfortable about telling my situation to anybody in that place other than her. She left, and I wanted to try and help myself again. I asked to speak to a dedicated mental health person and to get a telephone appointment. The phone number was the pharmacy (inside kildonan house) on a Friday which was strange. Mrs Patel (from the pharmacy), said to me "snap out of it and go out more". Was more interested in dropping my medication.

This has been my family practice for many many years, and all family members have seen a decline in the effectiveness of the practice, to have to call daily at 8 o'clock to make an attempt to get an appointment is crazy, you call and call and call then to finally get through at say 8.27! To no appointments available, to then ask for support on what else to do as they are going to leave a child with an ear infection, to be met with an irritated response is just not good enough.

Had to request by letter a note to say that I am fit to do a wing walk aged 70. I was told it could take up to 42 days. However it is now ready at a cost of 25 pounds. I presume they know I am fit as I haven't seen a doctor for several years. Strange how they can charge me but when they messed up my medication and I had to pay to see a doctor abroad they didn't offer to pay the cost and they wouldn't posted medication out to me. Nurses taking blood are always very friendly and efficient.

WHY have I left the surgery and pharmacy in TEARS today?? and again this evening on the telephone? Part of my repeat prescription is a WEEK overdue: I HAVE BEEN CALLED A LIAR because Pharmacy say that 3 submissions (of the same prescription!) HAVE NOT BEEN GIVEN IN!! I have also been told lies by RECEPTION who say the have no record...even of the ONLINE prescription...and that my Medicines must be OUT of DATE....NO HELP WHATSOEVER. When I called this evening to see where my new order from an appointment this MORNING has got to: they said they said "come and collect' altho' it is clearly marked DELIVER !!! The PHARMACY blame the Surgery...!? At this stage...without issuing my delayed prescriptions the Pharmacist has just told me he has NONE!! And then said I had to fine another Pharmacy: WHAT DISGUSTING PATIENT SERVICE....Jb

I always count the number of times I've rang to make an appointment. A few months ago it was over 300. Today it's over 100 and I've given up. What's the point? Absolutely shocking. When is this surgery going to be taken to task?

Terrible, I always feel like a broken record repeating myself all of the time to everyone. There is only a few people I have spoken to where I actually feel understood and heard and feel like something is being done. My mental health is deteriorating because of how my problems just get pushed to the side and get worse over time. Every single time I know I have to call I just know my experience is going to be bad. Rang up the practice just for it to ring for a few minutes, I ended the call due to bad background noise and rang a few minutes later only for the line to say the surgery was 'closed' even though it was 20 minutes before closing. I'm sorry to the people who get hassled who work here when they are trying their best.

Never had a problem with this surgery, I called recently and was offered a choice of 3 appointments. When I arrived at my chosen appointment, the clinic was running on time. Very happy with GP. Always got an appointment when needed for the kids, sometimes within in the hour. Thank you

Booked a couple of appointments with a new Receptionist on the phone (within the last month), she's lovely and makes the appointment process very pleasant! I also managed to get through within 5 minutes each time!!

I moved back to bolton from scotland in March and Registered with this surgery. And been to see them 3 times since March and they still don't have my full records. I went yesterday because I've not been well for around 7/8 weeks with no energy not eating Weight loss feeling sick all the time, my muscles just wasting away. When I first saw a doctor well I think he was one. He had to keep leaving me to ask his Senior advice, and before I could tell him why I was there I had to go through my medical history yet again for the 100th time and when I said Pacemaker fitted off he went again for the 3rd time when he came I was asked to prove I had a Pacemaker after he got the prove he disappeared yet again, then when he came back I was told he would inform the hospital about it and sent me on my way without Discussing what I Actually went about in the first place. So now I'm still none the wiser than before and still not well. How many more times do I have to go this before I see someone who knows what they are doing and get the information they need. Has I not happy I had to prove about a Pacemaker why would I lie about something so serious 🤔 I was made to feel like s**t

Credit where credit is due. Rang the surgery yesterday phone answered very quickly by a very helpful polite lady. Doctor called me within half and hour and after a consultation a prescription was arranged for me to collect later in the day. Thank you.

There is no need for such rudeness . No manners whatso ever on the front desk . The dr doesn't make eye contact and the pharmacy are disorganised with the rudest woman in there . Basically just avoid !

Put a complaint in respect of my Dad to the practice manager a week ago. Was told that acknowledgment would be within 2 working days. Still waiting. The poor reputation this practice has is clearly deserved and looking at past reviews and the lack of responses by management to them I’m surprised the overall score is this high.

This place doesn't deserve any stars, i can't even book an appointment over the phone for a lady over the age of 50 who recently moved into the area. GO To A+E ! LAZY! An extremely unhelpful call handler. Avoid at all costs this place stinks.
