I recently enjoyed a delightful weekend getaway at Nile Village Hotel in Jinja. The overall experience surpassed my expectations, with spacious and well-maintained rooms offering stunning views. The hotel's attentive staff contributed to a positive atmosphere, and the facilities, including a refreshing pool and well-equipped fitness center, added to the overall enjoyment of my stay. Despite minor Wi-Fi fluctuations, the attention to cleanliness, a diverse breakfast buffet, and prompt room service were noteworthy positives. Nile Village Hotel offers excellent value for money, considering its quality of service, facilities, and picturesque setting. I highly recommend it to both leisure and business travelers looking for a comfortable and charming stay in Jinja. Whether arranging Nile River excursions or enjoying the breathtaking sunset view from the terrace, the hotel provides a memorable experience that combines comfort, hospitality, and a beautiful setting.

This was our first trip to Uganda as well as Mission for the City of Jinja. The first room was extremely hot for 2 days, and I finally had to be intentional with what I needed done. They moved us and the shower in there spray out evenly but we could deal with that for a 3 days. The cleaning staff was EXCEPTIONAL. Breakfast had a limited variety and to purchase dinner was quite challenging. I'm not sure if they can't handle our size group because we waited 1.5 to 3 hours for food that was not right at most times and they didn't seem to know what foods items they had although the menu never changed. Very disappointing. The pool and bar area was very nice and great to hang out throughout the evening after the Mission work. Didn't get to use the pool or gym due to timing but looks very welcoming for trip back if we return.

It is so disappointing how they handled my situation. I booked and paid for a family apartment when I reach at the hotel to check in they told me the apartment was not available. They managed and found 2 rooms that was alot more cheaper than the family apartment i wanted. Now I'm trying ask for my refund that i over paid them but they don't want to give back which is so disturbing to me. Please if you are booking rooms through AGODA and Nile village hotel in Jinja be careful you may end up in the same situation like me.

My second time here. But I was not able to make any review on the first because my battery ran out and did not take any photos. Even on the second time, I reached a bit late and did not take the photos of the entire hotel. but toured around a bit and I should say it is such a nice place. It is built in a unique way and it honestly feels so like home. The workers, from the gatemen to the receptionists and waiters are quite friendly. I feel their menu is a bit limited though. It misses some of the local food that we usually seek out for. I had an international visitor here for 3 days and she was exceptionally pleased with the service. Its location is an easy one too btw and can easily and quickly get you different tourist places within Jinja. I look forward to visiting again for a better experience and a much more detailed reveiw.

Imagine booking a hotel for a group trip(30 rooms) two months before and get to the hotel on the date and the staff unapologetically telling u there are no rooms. On top of that you see white peoples checking in with cash(while we are stack waiting for our refund or explanation ) and all the manager could tell us was to understand the situation and go to a hotel of their choice( we had paid for accommodation and meals). 1 months in advance, really?

Electricity was off for 10 mins (or more) on my first night. The ventilation of the cottages is truly lacking, the a.c. outside the rooms sound like generators. There's rubbish outside and beside the rooms. Anyone can enter your room if you leave it open for ventilation... it's just a strange place with good service personnel. But there's potential!

I loved the great ambiance of the place. It's calm and executive for those that love places not infested with many young boys where you lack privacy this is a great place for you I loved the whole fish meal special it was very tasty and the pizza was also remarkably delicious. Generally their meals are tasty and they have great customer service you may feel like a king haha I know that's overrated. They also have ample space for parking and security is readily available.

Service overall was excellent save for one minor (but large to me) incident: we were allowed 3 bottles of water daily, which l seldom used at all, however, when checking out l was held in check to Pay For 1 bottle l picked up from Front Desk on the way out one day during my stay....

This place has the safest bathrooms. The tile design is beautifully rough, this fashioned to ensure stability and avoid slips and falls...

The hotel is nice, the regular parties and music playing so loud that the base vibrates windows hundreds of metres away is less so. No idea how anyone could possibly sleep during these parties which continue for hours into the night. These are not a one off. They happen both on weekdays and weekends. Avoid if you want to sleep peacefully.

Nice pool. Clear blue water, they even provide towels and resting spots. Definitely would swim in it again. The WIFI was however weak/not on and the bathrooms were not clean and smelled terrible.

Rooms are decent. Clean and spacious. They should invest in the bathroom appliances - all a bit loose. Towels were smelly. Service was relatively quick and mostly very friendly. Despite the courtyard bar etc. a sufficiently quiet place.

Met the owner Harry over drinks very hospitable 🙂 The place was cozy and the rooms were big, you can boogie in the bathroom. I like sitting in the balcony only there's no view of the lake nor the bridge eventhough it's very close.

Handling of clients is still low and it's not good to under estimate people guys sent me out with ma clients coz of not swimming from there and having pics there when I came back to get lunch for my clients they sent me out yet had told them I will be back for lunch plz change your service order learn how to treat your fellow local people

Nicest pool in town. Rooms are good. Only downsides: food is slooooow, rooms are a bit expensive, and sometimes the pool is overcrowded. UPDATE: they have continued to update this place and add more rooms and more features. It is now probably the nicest hotel in all of Jinja. And the last few times that we have been to the pool, it has not been overcrowded, however, we have not been during a weekend in quite some time. I do not know what the weekend crowd is like.

The service was good although I ordered a pizza which took a long time to be served. Also the music from the bar was very loud and denied me a quiet time.

The place looks good on the outside and it is very nice place truly corporate and business alone company. It is not family place, it is not client-centered and not friendly for toddlers and infants. They don't take clients priorities and their policies are so harsh. Not flexible at all. The Management, especially the Manager Levy, needs to work on those policies to make them client-centered. The client has the right to check-in and check-out at their convenience but that 50% cancellation policy is really harsh and not necessary. Just because you get foreign guests it doesn't call for you to be this rigid and unfair. Change your policies. Expecting a client to work with your services yet they are not meeting my needs as a client, the manager is so barbaric and handles clients to his own terms of condition which portrays a bad look for the hotel image itself. From an Undeniably di-satysified guest. There are much better hotels in Jinja and even close to this Nile Village Hotel with much better services, better rooms and ambience, kid-friendly and much reasonable prices and policies. Check out the Mutima Villa, not comparable to this restrictive hotel. Just saying, if you need value for money, don't take Nile Village Hotel for an option. Look else where.
